The City of Manchester has announced that the annual 4th of July Fireworks will be held on Saturday, July 4th, beginning at 9 p.m.. However this year there will not be the regular party that is normally held at Rotary Park. One injured in Thursday shooting at Northgate Mall in Tullahoma
Tullahoma Police Department investigating a shooting that allegedly took place inside the Tullahoma Northgate Mall Thursday. A verbal altercation took place inside the mall, then a while male allegedly produced a gun and shot one person, according to Tullahoma Police Chief Jason Williams. The individual who was injured was transported to Tennova Hospital before being flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Active COVID-19 cases in Coffee County at 20
As of 2 p.m. Thursday, there are now 25,120 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee This includes 401 deaths and 1,855 hospitalizations. There are 16,643 cases classified as recovered, leaving 8,477 active cases in the state. This is about 26 fewer cases than the previous day. Meanwhile, in Coffee County, there are now 78 confirmed cases of the virus with 58 recoveries. This leaves 20 active cases, which is 2 more than the previous day. More than 20,000 unemployment claims last week in Tennessee
New unemployment claims are trending down in Tennessee, but still remain unusually high. For the week ending May 30, there were 22,784 new claims filed. This is down from 26,000 the week before that and is the fourth straight week below 30,000 after seven straight weeks of 30,000+ clais, including the first week in April when over 116,000 filed claims. As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, there are now 24,822 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee. This includes 388 deaths and 1,829 hospitalizations. There are 16,319 cases classified as recovered, leaving approximately 8,503 active cases, which is 44 more than the prior day. There have been 470,779 total tests performed. New emotional support line available for healthcare workers
Tennessee’s health care workers and first responders who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic response have a new resource to help them grapple with stress, anxiety, sadness or depression related to work.
