5/9/12 — Larry Stanley Ezell
Larry Stanley Ezell, age 68 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
He was born May 8, 1943; the son of the late Stanley Wright and Frances (Swafford) Ezell.
Mr. Ezell worked for many years as a pharmacist in Winchester and Decherd.
Surviving are sons, David (Emily) Ezell of Winchester, TN and Steven (Kathleen) Ezell of Nashville, TN, daughter, Leigh Ann (Brandon) Perry of Winchester, TN, sister, Jean (Dick) Savage of Huntsville, AL; and grandchildren, Anna Ezell, Laura Ezell, Caleb Bean, and Caden Perry.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.

55/4/12 — Billy L. “Corky” Jones
Billy L. “Corky” Jones, age 74, of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday, May 4 at Horizon Health and Rehab Center in Manchester.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Corky was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late John Paul Jones and Vennie Medley Jones.
He was retired from J.H. Motors in Houston, TX. Corky served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Manchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Corky was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Jones and one brother, Paul Truman “Pete” Jones.
He is survived by three children, Shane (Candace) Jones, Cynthia (George) Klosel, and Lisa (Tim) Stewart; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Dara Jones, Carole (John) Logan, and Suzi (Butch) Fish; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

5/6/12 — JoAnne Woodard Burton
JoAnne Woodard Burton, age 63, of Lynchburg passed away Friday May 4, 2012 at her residence with cancer.
A native of Shelbyville she was a daughter of the late Johnny Riley Woodard and Doris Atkinson who survives.
She was a cashier at K Mart in Tullahoma and a member of the Lynchburg First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Smiley Burton of Lynchburg; sons, Tony Bina of Lynchburg and Boyd Bina and his Wife Patty of Manchester; step-children, Tabby Thrasher and her husband Daryl of Columbia, Tn and Mike Burton and his wife Shelley, also of Columbia, Tn; mother, Doris Atkinson of Lynchburg,sister; Sherry Bateman and her husband Billy Wayne of Chapel Hill, Tn, brothers; Jerry Woodard and his wife Delorise, Kenneth Woodard and Mark Woodard, all of Estill Springs, Tn; grandchildren, Courtney Benefield and her husband Caleb, Chase Thrasher, Hayden Burton, Chaffin Thrasher, Shane Hay and Taylor Burton and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 5, 2012 from 4-9 P.M. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday May 6, 2012 from the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Tucker officiating.
Private burial for family only will be at the Booneville cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American cancer Society or to Hospice Compassus of Tullahoma.

5/7/12 — Clarence Love (Corky) Young
Clarence Love (Corky) Young, age 73 of Decherd, passed away on May 5, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on October 27, 1938.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents Ike and Ida Mae Young; a son Landis Young; Brothers Columbus Young and James Young; and Sisters Mary Frances Gangler; Margaret Keeble; Patricia McConnel; Lois Jean Young; and Brenda Wallace.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years Virginia (Ginger) Young; daughters Sabra (Tim) Hastings, Estill Springs and Tonya Allison, Belvidere; Grandchildren Holli (Jeremy) Knox; Nicholas (Brandy) Hastings, Hillsboro; Miranda Allison, and Harleigh Allison and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Shirley Granberry, Tullahoma; a brother, Charles Young, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel and 9:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, at Victory Baptist Church in Tullahoma.
Services will immediately follow with Reverend Jack Lambert officiating.
Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Johnnie Fay Scott, age 78 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Golden Living Center Mountainview in Winchester.
She was born September 4, 1933.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Verne Scott.
Surviving are sons, Ronald Scott of Brooklyn, NY, Glen Scott of Crete, IL, Paul Scott of Beecher, IL and Gregory Scott of Murfreesboro, TN, brothers, Lee R. Williams of Chattanooga, TN, Doug Williams of El Paso, TX and Roger Williams of El Paso, TX, sister, Bonnie Choate of Knoxville, TN, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN.

Daufus Williams, age 82 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester.
He was born November 28, 1929 in Pelham, Tennessee; the son of the late Alfonzo Doc and Lucy (Rutledge) Williams.
Mr. Williams operated Williams Tire Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Williams, brother, Junior Williams, and sons, Gary Alfonzo Williams and Johnny Marvin Williams.
Surviving are son, Larry Scott of Decherd, TN, daughter, Mary F. Hayworth of Winchester, TN, sister, Ruby Williams Smith of Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Monica Harris of New York, Eric Hayworth of Belvidere, TN, Larissia Thompson of Huntsville, AL, and Shirron Price of Decherd, TN, as well as six great-grandchildren.

5/8/12 — Russell Lewis Painter Jr
Mr. Russell Lewis Painter Jr., age 64, of Tullahoma, passed away Friday at Harton Regional Medical Center.
He is a native of Marshall, Michigan and the son of the late Russell and Geraldine Amsler Painter Sr. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Painter.
Mr. Painter was a mechanic with The Car Store in Tullahoma.
He is survived by 2 sons, Timothy Painter of Tullahoma and Russell Painter of Springfield, MO, a daughter, Dora Painter of Tullahoma, 2 brothers, Jerry Lawson of Battle Creek, MI, William Krem of San Antonio, TX, 2 sisters, Shirley Benton of Battle Creek, MI and Brenda Hamawi of Battle Creek, MI.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.

5/8/12 — Ernest “Fuzzy” Tobitt
Mr. Ernest “Fuzzy” Tobitt, age 68, of Normandy, passed away Saturday at his residence.
He is a native of Coffee Co., TN and is the son of the late Lewis and Frances Ferrell Teal Sr. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Tobitt.
Mr. Tobitt was owner/operator of Tobitt Concrete and attended Roberts Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Tobitt of Normandy, brothers, Lewis Teal Jr. of Tullahoma, Louie B. Tobitt of Normandy, sisters, Carol Taylor of Tullahoma, Connie Ployer of Clarksville, several nieces and nephews and several brother in laws and sisters in laws.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Sells officiating.

5/7/12 — Ethel Crownover
Ethel Crownover age 89 of Winchester, passed away May 4, 2012 at Golden Living Center.
She was a long life resident of Franklin County and was an avid member of Church of Christ of Oak Grove for many years. Ms. Crownover enjoyed reading until her eyesight began to fail.
She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Ms. Crownover is preceded in death by her parents; Ike and Effie Hoosier; husband, Ben Crownover; son, Ben Crownover Jr.; granddaughter, Jessica Crownover; sisters, Dot Crownover and Jean Sherman.
She is survived by her daughter, June (Jim) Campbell of Decherd; son, Garry (Theresa) Crownover of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Campbell of Smyrna and Tory Westmoreland of Roswell, GA; 3 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Monday, May 7, 2012 at 10am at Mt. Garner Cemetery.

5/7/12 — James Monroe “Jimmy” Bartlett
Funeral services for Mr. James Monroe “Jimmy” Bartlett, age 78 of Manchester will be conducted at 2pm, Monday, May 7 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Prairie Plains Cemetery.
Visitation with the Bartlett family will be from 4pm until 8pm, Sunday at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mr. Bartlett passed away Friday, May 4 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born in Hillsboro, Tennessee the son of the late James Leonard Bartlett and Rosa Marcrom Bartlett.
In earlier years Mr. Bartlett was the Massey-Ferguson Tractor Dealer (A&G Equipment) and also the Case (Bartlett Farm Service) dealer in this area. Jimmy also transported milk from dairy farms and later operated Bartlett Excavation in Coffee County. Jimmy attended the Church of Christ and was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rebecca Irene Bartlett, an infant son, Aaron Wayne Bartlett and by a brother in law, Rondol Oakley.

One Son- Benton (Donna) Bartlett of Manchester
Two Daughters- Brenda Sue (Terry) Cunningham of Kingsport, Tn
Mary Ann (Clarence) Rainey of Atlanta, Ga.
Five grandchildren- Rebecca Bartlett, Bryan Bartlett, Rachel Cunningham, Katherine “Katie” Cunningham and James Cunningham. One sister-Mary Oakley.
