On July 24 th , Martha Emogene Wright Lloyd went to join her heavenly family, including her loving husband Harold, parents Covie and Hollis Wright, and brothers James, Harold, and Cletus. She leaves behind her children, Richard Lloyd, Judy Lloyd Mueller (Cliff), and Carolyn Lloyd Stephens (Sam); four grandchildren, Jonathan Mueller (Megan), Meredith Babika (Matt), Dana Speno (Jared), and Laura Stephens; and five great-grandchildren, Gwen, Ivy, Dana, Dominic, and Everett; her sisters, Pauline Burgess, and Brenda Sullenger (Lawson); and her brother Bobby Wright. They will greatly miss her, as will her many beloved nieces and nephews. Emogene was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Tullahoma, and enjoyed traveling, cooking from scratch, reading, working in the yard, and any kind of family gathering. She loved to tell stories about her family, enjoyed feeding anyone who came to the house, and adopted a number of stray cats. Hers was a life well lived, and her family will cherish her memory forever. Visitation for Mrs. Lloyd will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:30-2:00pm. Karen Anderson of Manchester, Tennessee passed this life on Saturday, July
24, 2021 at Southern Hills Tristar Medical Center at the age of 57. No

Karen, a native of Florida, was the daughter of the late Robert and Alene
Holmes. She enjoyed collecting angels, going to yard sales and visiting
antique stores. She also loved dogs and her beloved pets.

Tom Wannyn of Sparta, Tennessee passed this life on Thursday, July 22, 2021

Lucy Jane Hill, age 63, of Pelham, Tennessee passed away in the comfort of
her home, on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

Born in Manchester, Tennessee on October 8, 1953, to the late Buddy and
Elsie Sears, Lucy devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother and
grandmother. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a fourteen-year member of
The Bible Church of Jesus Christ in Manchester, Tennessee. She enjoyed
being outdoors, fishing, working in her flower garden and traveling to the
Great Smoky Mountains. Lucy was passionate about singing and playing her
keyboard. She will be missed dearly by her loving family and friends.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, name
unknown; three sisters, Maddie Murray, Novella Layne and Annie Tucker; and
one grandson, Skylar Trasher.

She is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Billy Joe Hill, Sr.;
one son, George Hill; one daughter, Vickie Thrasher; one stepson, Billy
(Angie) Hill, Jr.; one stepdaughter, Vivian (Ronald) Bell; stepbrother,
Junior Tucker; special brother-in-law, David Murray; nine grandchildren,
Timothy, Michael, Charity, Billy III, Shawn, Natasha, Josh, Bethany and
Dakota; over twelve great grandchildren.

Home- Monteagle from 10AM-1PM.

Mr. Billy Gene Mills, age 70, of Hillsboro, TN, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his residence
surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mills was born in Amarillo, TX, to his late parents Billy and Maxine Mills. He was a candy maker and “Strawberry King” for Russell Stover Candy for many years. Jean Downer Alexander, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, July 19 th , 2021 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma at the age of 94. Mrs. Alexander was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Elbert Hubbard Downer and Helen Frances Duffield Downer. She graduated from Ridley Park-Pennsylvania High School in 1943 and went on to attend Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 1947. Mrs. Alexander later attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and attained her Master’s of Education degree. She taught social studies for many years in the Eaton Community School System in Ohio, and was best known for starting the annual trip to Washington D.C. for 8 th grade students. Mrs. Alexander was a long-time active member of Eaton United Church of Christ, as well as the Ohio Educators Association, the National Educators Association and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was also on the National Council for Social Studies from 1973-1987 and along with her husband, drove for Meals On Wheels in Eaton for 16 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Marion Philip Alexander, who passed away in 2010. She is survived by three children, Joyce Hiebert and her husband David, Philip Alexander and his wife Sarah, and Donna Dandino and her husband Patrick; one sister, Barbara Coller; six grandchildren, Jean Hiebert Larson and her husband Brad; Mark Hiebert and his wife Lily Floeter, Randall Alexander, Samuel Alexander, Alexander Dandino and his wife Andrea, and Pauli Dandino; three great-grandchildren, Ellie, Leo, and Henry; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5 th , 2021 from 4:00-7:00pm at Eaton United Church of Christ in Eaton, Ohio, and a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 6 th , 2021 at 10:00am, also at Eaton United Church of Christ. Mr. James “Jimmy” Stiles, age 79, of Hillsboro, TN,
passed from this life on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Hillsboro, TN.

Mr. Stiles was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, to his late parents Joseph
and Thelma Stiles. He worked at the Kroger warehouse for 35 plus years
until retirement. Mr. Stiles served his country in the United States Army.
He was a loving husband, son, brother, and father. Mr. Stiles loved
anything to do with the outdoors including hunting, fishing and tending to
his many gardens. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of New
Life Church of Manchester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by daughter, Hannah Irene Stiles Haley; brothers, Jackie Stiles and
Bobby Stiles.

Mr. Stiles is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nadine Agee Stiles;
daughter, Sharon Lynch; sons, George Joseph (Grace) Stiles and James
(Kelly) Stiles; brother, Billy Stiles; sisters, Joann Willis, Patsy (Ed)
Lock, Linda (Charlie) Carter, Brenda Ward, and Cinda Stiles; ten
grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved church family at New Life
Church of Manchester.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 4:00pm
until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services

Ms. Norma Sue Moore, age 90 of Manchester, was born on July 14, 1931, in Summitville, TN, to the late Alva and Emmie Tucker Elam. She retired from AT&T and attended the Red Hill Church of Christ in Manchester. Ms. Sue is survived by her daughter, Sandra Mirabitur and her husband, Richard, of Michagan; grandchild, Jeffery Schaf and his wife, Collette; great grandchildren, Derrick Fryeman and his wife, Marie, and Jacob Schaf; special niece, Pamela Ogles and her husband, David; several cousins and a host of friends.

Ms. Sue passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Manchester Health and Rehab after an extended illness. Cremation has been chosen and there will are no services at this time.

Funeral visitation for Mr. Durrand Cortez Estill, age 64 of Manchester, will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel from 5 – 8PM. Mr. Estill passed away on Friday, July 16 at St. Thomas Rutherford after an extended illness.

Durrand was born on August 28, 1956, to the late John William and Sarah Alice Hill Estill in Manchester. He was employed as a truck driver for 10 Roads Express and had been an umpire for many years for the Manchester Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams. Durrand loved all sports, and many teams, but his loyalty belong to the LSU Tigers.

Durrand is survived by his loving wife, Donna Weaver Estill; sons, Nathan Sharpe, and Jeremy Estill; daughter, DeAunah Estill; brother, Derran Estill; sisters, Drenna Atala and her husband, Angel, DeeNena Waggoner, and DeeVida Farley; grandchildren, Elijah and Kelby Walker, Niko Sharpe, and Mako Estill; great grandchild, K’Zahn Walker; brother-in-law, Dennis Weaver and his wife, Cindy; sister-in-law, Dana Marcom; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Barbara Norris-Eckerle, formerly of Monrovia, MD, died Friday, July 16,
2021, at home in Manchester, TN. She is survived by four children, Leslie
B. Fowler, Manchester, TN; Lorena Bredenberg (Greg) of Tullahoma, TN;
Deirdre K. Perney (Billy) of Mt. Airy, MD; and Michael E. Norris (Lisa) of
Chapel Hill, TN.

Besides her children, she is also survived by one sister, Julie (Jean)
Marlow of Brigantine, NJ, as well as several grandchildren, including Amber
B. Della Giustina (Bill) of W. Springfield, MA; Brook R. Wood, (Gretchen)
of Charlottesville, VA; Paul N. Fowler of Nashville, TN; Lee D. Fowler
(Tanya) of Louisville, KY; Amanda K. Brewer (Casey) of Antioch, TN;
Christopher E. Norris (Kristen), NC; Barbara Norris, PA; Eric Norris
(Erika) Frederick, MD; Angelia Taylor (MD); Madison Norris, Michael Norris,
Jr., Mercedes Norris and Madden Norris, all of Chapel Hill, TN; as well as
several great grandchildren.

Barbara was born on January 19, 1927, in Boston, MA, the daughter of the
late Vincent F. Russo and Kathryn Cole Russo. She was a graduate of Girls’
Latin School in Boston and was one of the first women to win a scholarship
to MIT. In her early years, she was an avid sailor and also learned to
pilot small planes. She met her late husband, Eric Norris, while at MIT in
1945. With him, she traveled extensively and spent several years living in
Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil. She spoke Portuguese fluently.

Barbara was also an avid skier and traveled all over the United States,
Canada and Switzerland to pursue her skiing. She also pursued photography,
painting and sewing, and she was proficient in all of these.

As a young adult, upon returning to the US from Brazil, Barbara went to
work on Capitol Hill, working for three congressmen, and was actively
involved in planning the Metro subway system in Washington, DC. On retiring
from work as a legislative aide, Barbara became involved in breeding and
showing pedigreed Persian and Himalayan cats. She was a member of several
cat clubs, including the Hidden Peak Cat Fanciers Cub and the Mad Catter’s
Club. Her cats won several grand championships.

Later in life, after her husband Eric had passed away, she met and married
the late Kenneth L. Eckerle in May of 1992, whom she met while taking
ballroom dancing classes.

Barbara will be buried at Glade Cemetery in Walkersville, Maryland, beside
her late husbands, Eric Norris and Kenneth Eckerle. A memorial service will
be held at a later date to be determined.
