6/4/12 — Mayme Lee Curtis
Mayme Lee Curtis, age 92 of Lynchburg, passed away June 1, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Reeder and Maude Stoops Reeder; husband, Royce Curtis; son, Ray Curtis; brothers, Charles, James and Ted Reeder; sisters, Ruth Stone, Mary Johnson, Reba Hunt, Hazel Summers and Dorothy DeBar.
Survived by grandchildren, Jackie Rae (Jason) Brooks of Troy, AL, Jamie Fryke of Casa Grande, AZ and Jennifer (Rob) Stewart of Kingman, AZ; step grandson, Jeffery Penny of Casa Grande, AZ; 4 great grandchildren; and 5 generations of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 5-9 PM Monday at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 11 AM Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL .

6/1/12 — Allen Lewis Medford
ALLEN LEWIS MEDFORD, age 75, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, June 1, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Medford was employed for approximately 30 years in Los Angeles, Ca. as a brick mason in the construction business. He was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Medford’s hobbies were golfing and fishing. He moved to Estill Springs ten years ago to hunt and fish upon his retirement and absolutely loved the town and people of Estill Springs.
He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Lewis Medford, Jr. He is survived by his daughters; Sherri Ferguson of Estill Springs, Terri Marcella of Lancaster, Ca., Mary Jones of North Bend, Org., and a son, Wayne Medford of Bend, Org. sisters; Rachel (Ray) Patterson of Nashville, Tenn., Pat Booth of Memphis, Tenn. brothers; Tommy Medford of Ohio and David (Linda) Medford of Memphis, Tenn.
It was Mr. Medford’s request that he be cremated.
The family has scheduled a private celebration of life service.

6/4/12 — Douglas Galloway Roberts
Douglas Galloway Roberts, 70, of Tullahoma, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, in his home.
He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 14, 1942.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Sylvia Roberts and his younger brother, William Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two children: Beth Wingfield and husband Win and Heather Roberts; four grandchildren: Maryle Wingfield, Katherine Wingfield, Olivia Rowe, and Isaiah Rowe; older brother, David Roberts and wife Pat; niece and nephews: Heather Denegri, Darby Roberts, Bradley Roberts, and Jonathon Roberts; special friends: William and Becky Gregory; and other special family members.
Doug grew up in Memphis and attended college at Memphis State University. He moved to Tullahoma in 1965 at which time he became employed at the Social Security Administration and worked there for 35 years, retiring in 2000.
Doug was a dedicated and active member of the Tullahoma United Methodist Church where he served as a sound and video technician along with other various volunteer positions. Doug was a member of the National Active and retired Federal Employees Association in which he served as treasurer for many years. Doug enjoyed spending his leisure time with videography, woodworking, and home improvement projects. Doug will be remembered for his deep devotion to both family and friends.
The family will receive visitors at the Tullahoma Funeral Home on Sunday, June 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Services are to be held at the Tullahoma Funeral Home on Monday, June 4, at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tullahoma.

6/2/12 –Nina Faye Butler Shaw
Mrs. Nina Faye Butler Shaw, age 71, passed away Wednesday in Birmingham, Alabama.
A native of Tullahoma, she was the daughter of the late William and Rena Pitts Butler.
She was a member of the Vine Street Church of God and was retired from Fujicolor Processing in Tullahoma.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, at 2:00PM at the Vine Street Church of God with Bro. James Hart and Bro. R.B. Bewley officiating.
Burial will follow in Hurrican Grove Cemetery in Manchester.

Four daughters, Helen Eady Whitworth of Tullahoma, TN; Beverly Harper of Nashville, TN; Teresa (David) Hartful of Murfreesboro, TN and Shirley Eady of Lynchburg, TN.
14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

6/4/12 — Hunter J. Kimbrough
Hunter Jay Kimbrough, age 18 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 after an automobile accident.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dyanne Alsbrook; great-grandfather, Orville England and great- grandmother Eva Cunningham.
Hunter had just graduated from Coffee County Central High School on May 25, 2012. He was a member of the Manchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church and its Youth Group. Hunter enjoyed photography, sports trivia, watching and playing football, working on cars, hunting, music, video gaming and card collections.
Hunter is survived by his parents, Barm Carlton Alsbrook and Karen Elizabeth Sadler Alsbrook of Manchester, TN; birth father, Joe E. Kimbrough of Pulaski, TN; siblings, Wesley Kimbrough, Topy Kimbrough, Nikki Hernandez, Misty Hernandez, Cameron Todd and Savannah Todd; grandmothers, Rita Quick of Manchester and Brenda Lewis of Smyrna; grandfather, Joe Robert Kimbrough; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

6/5/12 — Susan Carol Neal Williams
Susan Carol Neal Williams, age 64, of Cypress, Texas, formerly of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Williams was born on May 5th, 1948 in Murfreesboro, TN to James T “Jack” Neal and the late Katherine Neal. She was a 1966 graduate of Tullahoma High Sch
ool and later received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University in 1970.
She married Charles Williams in 1971 at Highland Baptist in Tullahoma, where she was a member. Mrs. Williams enjoyed being a homemaker and was a loving wife and mother.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her Father-In-Law, Charles “Chuck” Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Williams II of Cypress, TX; her father, James T. “Jack” Neal of Tullahoma; one daughter, Emily Marie Waters and her husband Brad of Los Angeles, CA; Mother-In-Law, Betty J. Williams of Tullahoma; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, David and Susan Williams of Rome, GA, Dave and Betty Jane Davenport of Tullahoma, and Mike and Shara Gonzales of Tullahoma; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be held on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 from 9:00-11:00am at Kilgore Funeral Home with the funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with David Davenport officiating.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Jones, age 58 of Manchester, will be conducted Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Leon Williams and Bro. Dale Harrell officiating.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Jones passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Jones was born August 27, 1953 in Tullahoma, Tennessee, the son of the late John Bradford Jones and Mary Ensey Jones Arwood of Manchester.
Mr. Jones was a Sergeant with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, serving 22 years. He was a member of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Honor Guard Unit. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed attending Church activities. He enjoyed fishing and spending time, joking and teasing with friends and family. He loved attending and watching University of Tennessee football games. He also enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with friends at the Waffle House.
In addition to his father, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elvena Ensey.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Janet Harrell Jones of Manchester; three daughters, Crystal Michelle Alivo and her fiancé, Luke Moffit of Manchester, Samantha Nicole Jones and her friend, Nick Shockley of Manchester and Mary Patrice Jones and her friend, Steven Coyle of Manchester; one sister, Janie Arlene McCleary and her husband, John of Manchester; two grandchildren, Hailey Michelle Alivo and Chaz Mickel Alivo and many loving friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Coffee County Sheriff’s Department Christmas Toy Drive.

6/2/12 — Robert J. McIntosh
Robert J. McIntosh, of Manchester, Age 94, passed into Eternity with his Savior Jesus Christ on May 30, 2012 at Manchester Health Care Center.
Mr. McIntosh was preceded in death by his wife of nearly sixty years, Muriel Roberts McIntosh, and his parents, the late James Robert McIntosh and Elizabeth Hamm McIntosh.
Mr. McIntosh grew up Ohio during the Great Depression and was a member of “The Greatest Generation” having served honorably during W.W. II with the U.S. Eighth Air Force in England from 1943 to 1945. Robert and Muriel moved to Manchester in 1953 where they raised seven children. He worked as a telephone lineman for AT&T and South Central Bell for thirty-eight years until his retirement in 1980.
He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and the Steadfast Sunday School class in Manchester.
Mr. McIntosh was a Mason in the Highland Lodge No. 214 of Manchester for over fifty years. Among his interests were gardening and reading.
He loved his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren. He was devoted to them and worked hard to be a good provider. His family believes the Lord has already told him “well done good and faithful servant”.
He is survived by three sons, John R. (Vanna) McIntosh; Larry McIntosh; and Terry McIntosh – all of Manchester ; four daughters, Janice L. (Billy) Crosslin of Hillsboro; Sarah E. (James) Coop of Tullahoma; Mary A. (Dale) West of Manchester and Brenda D. (Don) Skinner of Covington, Louisiana; Nine grandchildren; Mark Crosslin of Dallas; Scott Coop of Nashville; Elizabeth Coop of Knoxville; Daniel West of Nashville; Aaron (Brittany) West of Cookeville; Emily West of Manchester; Jessica (Cody) Lowe of Manchester; Marie Skinner of Covington, Louisiana; DeAnne Skinner of Covington, Louisiana; One great granddaughter, Camryn Lowe of Manchester; and a host of friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
The family will receive friends at the VISITATION on Friday, June 1, 2012, 5-8 P.M. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester and on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 1-2:00 P.M. in the Parlor of the First Baptist Church.
The FUNERAL SERVICE will be conducted on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Manchester with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.

CHARLES EDWARD MORRIS, age 69, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Mr. Morris was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Lighthouse Church in Tullahoma. Before Mr. Morris was disabled he was employed for approximately 25 years as a heavy equipment operator with the City of Tullahoma. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Mr. Morris was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Wells, and a granddaughter, Monica.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Morris of Tullahoma, sons; Johnny (Tina) Morris, Lewis (Michelle) Morris all of Manchester, Willie (Crystal) Morris of Tullahoma, Randall (Tammy) Morris of Manchester, Timothy (Beth) Morris of Hillsboro and Aaron Morris of Tullahoma and a daughter, Teresa Chandler of Manchester, brothers; Hubert Morris of Winchester Springs, Oliver Morris of Tullahoma, Robert Lee Morris of Tullahoma and sisters; Joyce Morris Hill of Shelbyville, Faye Morris Shannon of Manchester and Frances Morris Crow of Estill Springs, Tenn. 19-grandchildren and 11-great-grandchildren.
