6/14/12 — Ja-John Holt
Ja-John Holt, age 31 of Little Rock, Arkansas and former Coffee County resident, passed away on June 11, 2012 in Little Rock, AR.
Ja-John was a Guest Services Representative with Hampton Inns in Little Rock and studied Computer Information Sytems at the Pontiac Business Institute.
He was preceded in death by his mother, the late Dana Holt; paternal grandparents, Everett and Louise Allen; and maternal grandparents, Harold Holt and Dailey Kaeser.
Ja-John is survived by his father, John H. Allen of Summitville, TN ; sisters, Delaney Holt and Lori Ann Ham; brother, Tyler Kaeser; special friends, Samantha Hewett and Steven Bolton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Manchester on McArthur Street with Brother Frank Bell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to “Our House”, 302 Roosevelt Road, Little Rock, AR 72206.

6/16/12 — Sean “Big Daddy” Steverson
Mr. Sean “Big Daddy” Steverson , 39, of Tullahoma passed Friday, June 8, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center. He was a 1991 graduate of Tullahoma High School.
He was preceded in death by sister, Consuela Hickerson; grandparents, Leatha Steverson and William and Marion Braston.
He is survived by Mother, Mary E. Steverson; Father, Robert (Vorketta) Braston ; Brothers, David (Christina) Steverson; Quincton Hickerson both of Tullahoma, TN; Robert Braston, Jr of Sewanee, TN;

6/14/12 — Jame Rickey Meeks, Sr.
James Rickey Meeks Sr. age 50 of Tracy City passed away on June 12, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Meeks was of the Methodist faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sharron K. White; father James Malcolm Meeks; and his great-niece Jacey Dixon.
Survivors include his son James Rickey Meeks Jr.; his mother Mrs. Josephine Meeks; brother Stephen Lee Meeks Sr.; niece Stephanie Dixon; nephew Stephen Lee Meeks Jr.; great-nieces and nephew Jacob, Alia, and Brilee Dixon; caregivers Delbert Ladd, and Brigitte Scott; and a host of cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Bobby Winton will officiate.
Burial will be in Pryor Ridge Cemetery.

6/13/12 — Gladys Oliver
Mrs. Gladys Oliver age 89 of Monteagle, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Mrs Oliver was a member of Monteagle First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Melvin Oliver; parents Jeff and Bunia Nunley; a daughter Nellena Cantrell and 20 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children Robert Oliver, and Joan (Johnny Ray) Smith; Grandchildren Joni Reese, and Judith Byers; sister Bunia Gilliam; 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Daryll Smiley officiating.
Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

6/13/12 —- Marlene Branch
MARLENE BRANCH, age 51, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma, where she had been a resident for the past twenty-five years due to injuries she sustained in an automobile accident at the age of twenty-six.
Ms. Branch was born in Winchester, Tenn. on December 23, 1960. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dimple and Kip Branch, sisters; Susan Anderson, Dinky Hill and brothers; Carter and Hal Burgess.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbie (Michael) Dodd, son, Shannon (Shauna) Branch Taylor, sister, Debbie (Kenneth) Taylor, brother, Ronald (Carolyn) Burgess and Roger Dale Burgess all of Tullahoma. Three grandsons; Lane Dodd, Ashton Dodd and Doneil Watkins. Three granddaughters; Selina Dobb, Justice Taylor and Christin Banks.
Visitation for Ms. Branch will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday Evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Vernon Cole officiating.
Interment will follow in Green Cemetery in Belvidere.

6/13/12 — Clifford Sanders
Mr. Clifford Sanders, age 90, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.
He was born on February 12, 1922 in Murfreesboro, TN and the son of the late Ernest Odell and Mary Leona Davenport Sanders.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Elizabeth Owens Sanders. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Baldwin (L
ouie) of Tullahoma, his granddaughter, Amy Baldwin Stephens (Jason), great grandson, Wyatt Owen Stephens of Baltimore, MD, two sisters, Charlotte Baskin and Lois Wood (Jack) all of Murfreesboro and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sanders was a long time deacon and member of First Baptist Church and Edgemont Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN. He was the owner and operator of Sanders Radiator Shop in Shelbyville until his retirement in 1992. He was a Mason for over 60 years at the Shelbyville Benevolent Lodge #122 and was also a World War II Army Veteran.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

6/13/12 — John Pope Bennett, Jr.
Mr. John Pope Bennett Jr. age 52 of Nashville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2012 at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville.
John was born on May 20, 1960 to John Sr., and Daisy Bennett.
Survivors include his daughter Jessica Lorin Bennett of Carthage, Tennessee; His parents John Bennett Sr. and Daisy Flippen Bennett of Sewanee, Tennessee; his Significant other Karen Hughes of Nashville; step-children Mandy Patterson, Casey Hughes, J.D. Hughes, and Mathu Hughes all of Nashville; grandchildren John Michael Bennett, Raven Tennile Bennett, and Trinity Ariahna Bennett all of Carthage; sisters Linda Bennett, Annette Garner, Ruby Dill, and Clara Bowles.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Bill Owens will be officiating.
Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

6/11/12 —- Clarence Eldon Nunley
Mr. Clarence Eldon Nunley age 76 of Coalmont passed away June 8, 2012 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee.
Mr. Nunley was the pastor of Chestnut Springs Congregational Methodist Church for many years, and was a retired engineer from Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Mr. Nunley was preceded in death by his father James Hobert, his son Donnie Lee Nunley, grandson Ronnie Joe Nunley, brothers Maxie Nunley, William (Bill) Nunley, and Charles Nunley; sisters Elaine Shadrick, and Gladys McGee.
Survivors include his loving wife Judy Nunley; his mother Mary Nunley; Children Ronnie (Beverly) Nunley, Debbie (Louie) Ladd, Michael (Brooke) Nunley, Teresa (Tim) Nunley, and Sherri (Kim) Campbell; brothers and sisters Janie (Wayne) Smartt, Jean Nunley, Lois (Doug) Seagroves, Donna (Bernie) Knost, Ruth (Billy) Braden, Joe (Ann) Nunley, Pam Nunley (Craig), Kate (Barry) Braden; grandchildren Alicia, Angela, Allison, Marilu, Michael, Niqui, Colton, Derrick, and Christopher; great-grandchildren Drew, Jack, Emma, and Caitlin.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Foster and Lay Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Caldwell and Reverend Ray Winton officiating. Burial will be in Coalmont Cemetery.

6/11/12 — Lettie Castlen Cardy
Mrs. Lettie Castlen Cardy, age 78, of Normandy, went to be with her husband, of 58 years, and her Lord on Friday, June 8, 2012, at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
A native of Grand Bay, Al, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clayton and Lettie Cora Castlen. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church.
She moved to Tullahoma with her husband in 1959, and immediately joined the First United Methodist Church, becoming a member of the Questers Sunday School Class. She later received her nursing degree from Motlow State Community College and was a member of Motlow’s first nursing graduating class of 1974. She began her career at Queen City Infirmary and later, she was an ICU nurse at Harton Regional Medical Center. After retiring, she volunteered with Good Samaritan for many years where she served as Treasurer. Her bridge club ladies were very dear to her along with her church circle. She will be remembered as a beloved mother and grandmother and as a sweet, compassionate woman, who had a gift for taking care of the sick and hurting. She was a special person loved by the many people whose lives she touched over the years.
She is survived by one daughter; Alice (Bob) Sparks of Normandy, one son; Ben (Rene’) Cardy of Richmond, TX., four grand children; Stuart and Georgia Sparks, and Benjamin and Carissa Cardy, and one great grandchild, Raelynn Sparks, and three sisters; Doris Buhl of Hixson, TN, Aurelia Paine of Grand Bay, AL, and Evelyn Moore of Houston TX.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM on Monday, in the chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Ashley officiating.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
