Harald (Harry) Paul Gerhard Ilgner
Harald (Harry) Paul Gerhard Ilgner was born in Frankfurt, Germany on March 9th, 1928 and passed away on July 31st, 2021 at his beloved farm in Manchester, Tennessee at the age of 93.
He was preceded in death by father Gerhard Ilgner, mother Kathy M. Schieffer, sister Eleanor Barringer, wife Willene Ilgner and first wife Kornelia Ilgner (mother of all his children). He is survived by his children Ralph Ilgner (Susan) of Lenoir City, TN, Liane Mescher, Arno Ilgner (Jane) of La Vergne, TN, Berny Ilgner (Diane) of Clinton, TN, Mark Ilgner of Manchester, TN, Ariane Roland (Mark) of Sevierville, TN, and 8 grandchildren; Derrick Ilgner, Kristina Lamons, Aaron Ilgner, Ian Ilgner, Devin Roland, Jessica Ilgner, Emma Ilgner and Micah Roland.
After immigrating from Germany and becoming a U.S. citizen, Harry began his career as a machinist in Tullahoma and eventually started his own company, ATG Industrial Distributors. His hobbies included ballroom dancing for which he and his wife Willene won several awards. He was an avid reader, a student of nature, loved sailing, playing German card games with family and gardening on his farm in Manchester.
The family will receive friends at a small private memorial service on September 25th at Old Stone Fort Archaeological Park. We appreciate your understanding for keeping this service private due to COVID concerns. We also appreciate your love for our beloved father.

Timothy Glenn Preston
Mr. Timothy Glenn Preston, age 71, of Manchester, TN, was born on March 11, 1950 and passed from this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Nashville, TN. Mr. Preston was born in Winchester, TN, to his late parents James Preston and Jane Sanders Preston. He worked for twelve years at Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga, TN, and then later retired. Mr. Preston loved golf, cooking, yard work and most recently took up painting. Mr. Preston is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane Preston; son, Paul Preston; daughters, Stephanie (Jason) Stem and Gina Baker; grandchildren, Cecily, Jessica (Darrell), Nathan, Allen Matherly, Mekeesha Matherly; great grandchildren, Emma and Easton. John Travis Sapp
On Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 9:30 am, the Sapp family unexpectedly lost their beloved husband and father John Travis Sapp. The world has lost a wonderful man and he will be missed greatly! Travis was born on January 8, 1981 in Jessup, Georgia, grew up in Freeport, Florida and relocated to Manchester, TN October 2009. A passionately loving husband to Mandy and the best hero a little girl could ask for to Laural. He was known as the man with a huge heart of gold that would shoot it straight to you and was everyone’s friend. He had a smile that would light up a room and make you feel welcome. Travis was a genuine man that would give you the shirt off of his back and the last dollar in his pocket. It was a pleasure to meet him and you were instantly invited to come by the house. He always had a story to tell about adventures that happened down the street or across the world. He was a very social person and talked to just about everyone every day. He worked hard, played hard and mostly loved hard. Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Alan Marrs and Vanessa Cosson; grandfather, John Elvis Brown; and brother, Brian Cosson. Travis is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mandy Lynn Sapp; daughter, Laural Isabel Sapp; brothers, Steven (Terra) Sapp and Tyler Sapp; sisters, Candace Marrs and Mary (Steven) Bengston; grandmother, Dale Brown; nieces and nephews, Gunner Massey, Zachery Massey, Killian Maxwell, Kaylen Sapp, Ethon Sapp, Roxanna Maxwell, Nora June Sapp and Bryson Sapp; several cousins, honorary brothers, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Tina Marie Brandon
Tina Marie Brandon , of Manchester, passed this life on Saturday, July 31 st , 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester at the age of 59. Tina was born in Manchester to the late Doris Sanders McCormick and worked during her life as an LPN. She most recently has worked as an industrial nurse at Bridgestone. Tina was a devoted wife, mother, and caretaker to her daughter, Julie. She loved capturing nature through the lens of a camera and was an avid fan of UT athletics. Tina also loved her dog, Jake, as well as fishing and being on the water. In addition to her mother, Tina was preceded in death by one brother, Steven McCormick. She is survived by her husband, Dale Brandon; two daughters, Julie Brandon and Kristin Warden and her husband Wes; one sister, Donna Toney and her husband Mike; one grand-dog, Riley and one grand-cat, Alley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3 rd , 2021 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 4 th , 2021 at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Foy Rigney officiating. Burial will follow at Welker Cemetery in Manchester. Richard O’Neal Carter
Funeral services for Richard O’Neal Carter, age 44 of Hillsboro, will be conducted on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 2 PM in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel, with Bro. Dale Grosch officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 3 – 9 PM and from 11 – 2 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Richard passed away on Sunday, August 1 at St. Thomas West in Nashville after an extended illness.
Richard was born on November 25, 1976, in Tullahoma to Richard Carter and the late Doris Trail Carter Cussins. He was employed at Wal-Mart for 25 years as the team lead, and a volunteer firefighter for the Hillsboro Fire Department for 22 years and served as assistant chief for 13 years. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy came from playing with his girls.
In addition to his mother, Doris, Richard is preceded in death by one brother, Mark Fletcher, stepfather, Don Cussins, and stepmother, Betty Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Melissa Boyd Carter; daughters, Sharla and Abigail Carter, brother, Michael Carter and his wife, Linda; sister, Becky Neeley and her husband, Terry; father and mother-in-law, James and Betty Boyd; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends, including his fellow fire fighters and Wal-Mart employees.

Deborah June Whitaker
Deborah June Whitaker, of Fayetteville, passed this life on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the age of 59. A Celebration of Life will be held at Legends in Pulaski on Saturday, August 7, at 4PM.
Deborah was born in Fort Benning, GA to Charles Pearson and the late Jeanette Hill Pearson. She enjoyed hobbies such as painting, reading, and she especially loved vacationing in Destin, FL.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Edward Whitaker.
Along with her father, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jackie Whitaker; daughter, Jacklyn Whitaker; brother, Charles Pearson; beloved family dog, Piper.

Michael George Collins Jr
The world has lost a charismatic, silly and innovative lover of the
outdoors. Michael George Collins Jr, age 49, died of complications of
amyloidosis on July 26, 2021. He lived a life full of adventure, from
taking off to survive in the woods for a few months as a young man to
starting and running a mobile grooming business for over 25 years. In his
later years, he enjoyed mountain biking and canoeing. Throughout his whole
life, he stayed a dedicated and loyal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and
Cincinnati Bengals. But most importantly, he was a dedicated father who
loved his girls and put them above all else.
Mike was loved by many and charmed all who met him, but his family
especially had a fierce love for him. He was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Clyde and Mary King and Robert and Iris Collins; his father,
Michael George Collins Sr and his cousins Rodney and Tracy. He is survived
by his children, Kayla and Reilly and their mother, Dawn; his girlfriend,
Suzanne; his mother, Becky and her husband, Dave; his sister, Mindy; his
aunts, Beth, Ellen, Robbie, Chris and Lois; his uncles, Ed, Bob, Tim, and
Harold; as well as cousins, Mike, Jenny and Zach, Beth, Randy, Susan,
Angela, and Brandon.
Mike’s wish was always to have a bonfire send off. His children will hold
a future memorial to scatter his ashes on a bonfire as we remember his
infectious laughter and smiling eyes and celebrate his life.

Helen Irene Qualls Hill
Mrs. Helen Irene Qualls Hill, age 93, of
Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in
Manchester, TN.
Mrs. Hill was born in Coffee County, TN, to her late parents Clarence
Qualls and Josie Hale. She was a homemaker all her life and loved her
children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hill;
daughter, Bonnie Harden; several brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Hill is survived by son, Wayne (Judy) Finchum; daughter, Wanda
Finchum; brother, Franklin Qualls; several grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 12:00
noon until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral
services will be conducted immediately following visitation at 2:00pm in
the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery
in Manchester, TN.

Annie Ruth Watts Brown
Annie Ruth Watts Brown was born in Springfield, TN on July 14, 1921 and
departed this life on July 28, 2021 at the age of 100. She was born to
Maggie and Burgess Watts, being the youngest of 8 children. She is survived
by her daughter, Janice Brown Bean and her husband, Don Bean of Winchester,
TN; 3 grandchildren, Darrin and wife, Lyndi, Julie Bean, and Jennifer
Parsons and husband, Mike; 8 great grandchildren, Cade Bean, Carly Bean,
Cole Palmertree, Caleb Palmertree, Oliver Parsons and Eli Parsons, Cody
Ballard and wife, Brooklyne, and Katelyn Meade and husband, Zaine.
Annie Ruth was married to the late Carlie Carson Brown for 54 years.
Annie Ruth attended the First Baptist Church of Tullahoma and was a charter
member of the Christian Women’s Club. She and her husband, Carlie, started
Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma, TN. She remained very active in
her church until her health prevented her from participating.
Most of her life, Annie Ruth was a mother and a homemaker. She was a woman
of truth, who had a heart for those suffering in one way or another. She
loved to sew when time allowed. Annie Ruth did sale insurance with her
husband later in her married life.
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Ruth Brown will be conducted on Sunday,
August 1, 2021, at 2 PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home chapel. Burial will
follow in the Oakwood cemetery in Tullahoma. Mrs. Brown passed away on
Wednesday, July 28 at Rock Gate Assisted Living in Cowan.

Debra Levierge
Debra Levierge of Manchester passed this life on Tuesday, June 27, 2021 at
her residence at the age of 69. Memorial services will be held in
California at a later date.
Debra a native of Los Angeles, was the daughter of the late Stella Gochicoa
and Avelino Gochicoa of Huntington Beach, CA. Debra loved her family and
her pets and enjoyed attending church. She was an avid reader and loved
going shopping.
In addition to her father, Avelino Gochicoa, Mrs. Levierge is survived by
her husband, Edward Levierge of Manchester; daughters, Barbara Blanchard,
Winder, GA and Stephanie Blanchard of La Harba, CA; cousin, Carol Delaree
(Robert) of Monteray Park, CA; grandchildren, Loren Cline (Wilbert Castro)
of Anaheim, CA and Samantha Cline of La Habra, CA and great grandchildren,
Andrew and Ava Castro.
