7/18/12 — Thomas Boswell
Mr. Thomas Boswell, age 84, of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
He is a native of Annie Station, Tennessee and is the son of the late Thomas Alonzo and Annie Lee Burns Boswell. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Boswell, a sister, Dot Hedgecoth, and a step daughter, Pat Presley.
Mr. Boswell was a retired Tool and Dye Maker at A.E.D.C., former owner of Ole World Antiques and attended Kings Cross Church in Tullahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Boswell of Tullahoma, daughters, Carol (Tom) Allen of Manchester, Dara Bair of Nashville, Paulette (Verne) Carlisle of Manchester, Jackie Lusk of Nashville, Leisa Boswell of Manchester, son, Chris Boswell of Kingston, brother, Elmer (Violet) Boswell of Franklin, 11 Grandchildren and 14 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Moody.
Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.

7/18/12 — Dale Goodwin
Mr. Dale Goodwin, age 61, of Normandy, passed away Sunday at Harton Regional Medical Center.
He is a native of Coffee County, TN and the son of Lucille Miller Goodwin and the late Grady Goodwin. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Mike Goodwin.
Mr. Goodwin worked for the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department as the School Resource Officer with Coffee County School System, was a United States Army Veteran, a Member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Goodwin of Normandy, son, Brian (Amanda) Goodwin of Springfield, TN, daughter, Julie (Matt) Collins of Pineville, KY, mother, Lucille Haddan of Tullahoma, brothers, Randy (Dawn) Goodwin of Estill Springs, Larry (Belinda) Goodman of Manchester, Earl (Wendy) Haddan of Mineral Springs, AR, sisters, Jeannie (Wayne) Alexander of Tullahoma, Joyce (Jerry) Payne of Whittney, TX, Joanne (Jimmy) Buckner of Manchester, Kandy Singleton of Tullahoma, Grandchildren, Nichole, Renee, Kalee, Brooke, Blake, Taylor, Triston, Emily and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00AM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Tim McGeehee. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Allmon and many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. A veteran of WWII, she was in the Marines, a farmer and a homemaker. A member of the McMahan Church of Christ, she was also a member of the Ivy Bluff Home Demonstration Club.
Ms. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Cap H. Allmon & Hattie Brewer Allmon; husband, R. Houston Parker; siblings, Cecil I. Allmon, Hazel A. Smith, Wauline Duggin, Gladys (Polly) A. Pierce & Jack R. Allmon.
7/18/12 — Elmer Meaker
Elmer Meaker age 84 of Winchester, passed away July 15, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Meaker loved spending time in the outdoors camping and fishing. His favorite passion of all was fixing up small engines.
Mr. Meaker is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty Meaker; children, Yvonne (Tim) Brown, Joe Meaker, Danny (Beverly) Meaker, Delores Morris; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 1pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Watson-North Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 11am until 1pm.

7/15/12 —- Robert Aubrey Bishop
Robert Aubrey Bishop, age 80 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at his home.
He was born September 4, 1931 in Hollywood, Alabama; the son of the late Jones Howard and Evie (Precise) Bishop.
He was an engineer at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX and was a veteran.
Surviving are sons, Scott Bishop of Santa Fe, TX and Sam Bishop of Alvin, TX, brothers, J.C. Bishop of Fayetteville, TN, Bill Bishop of Huntland, TN and Charlie Bishop of Bonita Springs, FL, sister, Sybil Hinman of Huntsville, AL; friend, Janie Woodall of Winchester, TN; granddaughter, Becky Bishop and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.

7/17/12 — CAROLYN JEAN WOODARD
CAROLYN JEAN WOODARD, age 70, of Hillsboro, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tenn. She was employed for many years as a waitress before her retirement. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Ms. Woodard loved to knit and crochet as a hobby. Most of all she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Ms. Hill was preceded in death by sons; Raymond and Kenny Stewart. She is survived by sons; Greg Stewart of Georgetown, Tenn., Jeff Stewart of Belvidere, Mark Stewart and Tommy McBee both of Hillsboro, Tenn., one daughter, Yvonne Leonard of Cowan, Tenn. grandchildren; Alexas Marie, Nicole, Richard, Mark, Jr., Chelsea, Waylon, Holly, Jayda, Jeff, Jr., Jason, Monica, Angel, Wendy, and Peanut Stewart. Caiden Howard McBee, Melody Cheek, Nellie Cheek, and Christine Goff. Many great-grand-children.

7/17/12 — Edith Pauline Lewis Chadwell
Edith Pauline Lewis Chadwell, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma at the age of 85.
Born in Tazewell, Tennessee to the late James H. and Alice Edds Lewis, Mrs. Chadwell was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Estill Springs. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chadwell is preceded in death by two brothers, John Joseph Lewis and Jack Edds Lewis.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joe Chadwell of Tullahoma; one sister-in-law, Gloria Lewis of Tullahoma; two nieces, Diann Eisenhauer and her husband Dwight of Robstown, TX and Kim Chittum and her husband Ken of Tullahoma; three nephews, Rev. John Lewis and his wife Helen of Tazewell, TN, Tim Lewis and his wife Alfreda of Kingsport, TN and Richard Lewis and his wife Denise of Florida; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Chadwell will be held on Monday, July 16th, 2012 from 4:30-8:00pm with the funeral service to begin at 8:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Patton and Rev. John Lewis officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 17th at 10:00am at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.

Mr. Hershel Champion, age 65, of Tullahoma, passed Sunday at Harton Regional Medical Center.
He is a native of Tullahoma and is the son of the late William and Flora McBee Champion. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a son, Junior Champion, brothers, Ben and Billy Champion and a sister, Martha Munsey.
He was a retired brick mason and a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Champion of Normandy, son, Mont (Ruth) Champion of Normandy, daughter, Kim (B) Bowden of Tullahoma, brothers, Danny Bennett of Winchester, Jerry Champion of Kentucky, sisters, Ann Massingille of Tullahoma, Joyce Masingille of Tullahoma, grandchildren, Kymber, Brock, Emily, Alyson, Isabella and great grandchildren, Keyleigh and Carson.

7/16/12 — Willie Morgan “Tom” Creighton
Mr. Wille Morgan (Tom) Creighton, age 95 of Tracy City, owner and operator of Creighton GMC in Palmer, TN and Creighton Chevrolet in Tracy City, TN. died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at his home.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Tracy City First United Methodist Church and a member of Sewanee Lodge #405 Free and Accepted Masons.
He was born in Tarlton Valley on August 29, 1916, to Morgan and Elizabeth Perry Creighton who preceded him in death along with his sister, Martha Sue Miller; brothers, Leonard, James, Earl and Arthur Creighton.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Creighton; son, Bruce (Charlotte) Creighton, Tracy City; sisters, Gladys Arnett, Miami, FL, and Mary Kinser, Greenback, TN; brothers, John (Wanda) Creighton, Chattanooga and Ralph Taylor (Barbara) Creighton, Gruetli-Laager; sister-in-law, Ann Creighton; grandchildren, Travis (Nicole) Creighton and Dawn (Greg) Plattenburg; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Bailey and Maddox.
A graveside service with military honors will be 11:00 A.M. C.S.T. Monday, July 16 in Plainview Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Clayton Jones and Reverend John Potts officiating.
