Martha Ann Mangrum McCullough, age 75 of Chattanooga, formerly of Manchester passed this life June 23, 2016. Martha was born in Manchester the daughter of the late Kenneth and Albula Frizzell Mangrum. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. McCullough, by a daughter Kathy Lynn McCullough. 7/10/16—James Hickerson Smartt
James Hickerson Smartt was born on January 8, 1932 in Tullahoma, TN. He
departed this life on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Horizon Rehabilitation
Center in Manchester, TN. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, July
10, 2016 at Shorter Chapel AME Church, 401 SW Atlantic St, Tullahoma, TN
37388
at 2 PM.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, James Smart III and Fred
Hickerson; mother, Beulah Hickerson; brothers, Thomas Lawrence
Hickerson-Smartt and William “Bill” Hickerson and sister, Josephine
Smartt.
He is survived by brothers, Ernest and Earl Hickerson, both of Tullahoma,
Tommy and Richard James and Eugene Smartt, all of Detroit and Harry James
Smartt of Alabama; sister, Beulah Northcutt of Tullahoma, Clara and Bobbie
Smartt and Margarett Sneed of Murfreesboro and Norma Jean Smartt of South
Carolina; devoted niece and caregiver, Vorketta (Robert) Braston of
Tullahoma and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

7/8/16 — Geneva Carolyn Scott
Geneva Carolyn Scott, age 79, passed away July 3, 2016, at her home. A native of Bon Air, Tennessee, in White County and resident of Manchester, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late James and Magdalene Prater. Also preceded in death by sister; Evelyn Nash, and brother; Wayne Prater.
She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary of Coffee County, an office manager in the medical field before retirement, and was always active with the Auxiliary before she began her courageous fight with cancer in October 2015. She loved crocheting, collecting antiques, memorabilia, and glassware.
She is survived by her husband Clyde W. Scott, of Manchester, Tennessee. Her daughter; Belinda and Dean Nicholson, and son; Roger W. and Janice Scott, both of Tullahoma, Tennessee, one sister; Glinda and Bill Griffith, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, grandchildren; Justin Scott, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, Jamie Jernigan, of Manchester, Tennessee, Ashley Garner, of Manchester, Tennessee, Brittany Haskins, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, Alyssa Jones, of Beechgrove, Tennessee and Clara Scott, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, great-grandchildren; Isla Scott, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Ava Jernigan, of Manchester, Tennessee, and Lane Garner of Manchester, Tennessee.
Special friends: Barbara Zeigler, Nelene Nunley, Mary Lynn Haggard, Sharon Brown, and Era Franks.

7/07/2016—Carl Wilson Henley
Funeral services for Mr. Carl Wilson Henley, age 94, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Henley, Tyler Mitchell, Jeffery Walker, Greg Keeling, Jackie Garner, Ryan Armer, and Buck Blanton. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Henley passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Manchester Healthcare.
Mr. Henley was born in the Prairie Plains Communtiy of Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Roy Henley and Eva Partin Henley. Wilson began his career working in the dairy business for 20 years, followed by 20 years in the Allis Chalmers Equipment business, then 20 years in the grain elevator business, and ending with 24 years in the Conklin business. Wilson and his wife, Sue, were awarded the very first “Spirit of Conklin Award” from the Conklin Company, where they were regional sales directors. Wilson was a faithful member of Main Street Church of Christ. His many hobbies included coaching baseball, watching the Atlanta Braves, and working on his lawn.
In addition to his parents, Wilson was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Mary Sue Brassfield Henley, who passed away in 2015; two brothers, Morgan Henley and John Partin Henley; and three sisters, Jean Ethridge, Cleo Long, and Vera Garner. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Mitchell and her husband, Steve, of Taylorsville, NC; two sons, Carter Henley and his wife, Linda, and David Henley and his wife, Marcia, both of Hillsboro, TN; one sister, Rachel Croft of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Ginger Keeling, Shane Henley, Twilla Walker, Tyler Mitchell, Jennifer Henley and Rachel Henley; and eight great grandchildren.

conducted on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral
Chapel with Brother Foy Rigney officiating. Visitation with the family
was held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coffee
County Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Enrico Testa
Enrico Testa age 89 of Manchester passed this life Friday July 1, 2016 at
his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral service will be 10:00AM
Wednesday at Tullahoma First Assembly of God with Pastor Ron Forrester
officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Jasen
Eickhoff, Shaun Hubacheck, Matthew Hubacheck, Luke Testa, Adam Nemetz,
Jason Crosslin, Dayne Crosslin and Tallan Crosslin will serve as
pallbearers. Visitation with the Testa family will be 4:00PM until 8:00PM
Tuesday at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mr. Testa is survived by his wife of 68 years; Antonia Testa, daughters;
Judith Ann (Robert) Eickhoff, Victoria Hubacheck, sons; Enrico Testa, and
Vincent (Rita) Testa, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is
preceded in death by his parents; Vincezo and Concetta Testa, 3 brothers;
Joseph, John, Vincent Testa, and 2 sisters; Grace DeLuca and Lillian
Cloutier.
Mr. Testa was a Navy veteran serving in World War II and retired from the
United States Postal Service.

Funeral services for Tom Brown, age 64 of Hillsboro, will be conducted at
1:00pm, Monday, July 4 at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church
with Rev.John Weaver and Rev. Chris Haynes officiating. Burial will
follow in the Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery. Visitation with Tom’s family
will be Sunday, July 3 from 5pm until 9pm at Manchester Funeral Home and
Monday, July 4 from 11am until 1pm at the Hillsboro First United
Methodist Church. Tom passed from this life Saturday morning at his home
surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born in Hillsboro, Tennessee the son of Harold Mead Brown and
Helen Ruth Bramblett Brown. He was a farmer at heart, having worked at
the family farm, raised cattle and worked in the family dairy business.
Tom was known for making different varieties of wine, first in his
basement and in 2004 he opened Bean’s Creek Winery in Manchester. Tom
served on the Governors’ Viticulture Advisory Board, was past president
of the Tennessee Viticulture & Oenological Society (TVOS) and was an
active leader in the Tennessee Farm Wine Alliance (TFWA) and numerous
other agricultural organizations. His wines won many awards in Tennessee,
the southeast region and internationally. He served his country in the
U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist
Church. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Harold Mead Brown who
passed in 2007. He is survived by:

7/10/16 — Kathie Jane Cross Cox
Memorial services for Ms. Kathie Jane Cross Cox, age 68, of Manchester,
will be held at 3 PM on July 10, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home with
Chaplain Doug Hankins and Paul Cross officiating. Visitation with the
family will begin at 1 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Ms.
Cox passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on
June 2, 2016.
Kathie was born on November 16, 1948 in Shelbyville, TN to the late
Randall Cross and Billie Hayes Crowell. She was a retired insulation
installer at Carrier in Morrison, TN. She loved watching Jeopardy and
John Force in the NHRA drag racing. Kathie also loved working jigsaw and
crossword puzzles and learning about her Cherokee Indian heritage. It is
said that Kathie never met a stranger.
Kathie is survived by three daughters, Tammy Sullivan Grantland of AL,
April Cox Crouch (T.J. Burgess) of Manchester, and Stephanie Cox Snouffer
(Wes) of KS ; three brothers, Jackie Crowell (Susie) of Murfreesboro,
David Crowell (Tammy) of Shelbyville, and Butch Cross of AL, one sister,
Nancy Powell (Marshall) of Shelbyville; and nine grandchildren, Tessa
Townson, Eli Grantland, Madison Cox, Zoie Grantland, J.C. Crouch, Lily
Snouffer, Caleb Crouch, Verlin Snouffer, and Hazel Snouffer, and a
several nieces, nephews, extended family, countless loved ones and
numerous close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice
Compassus of Tullahoma or The American Lung Association.
Also at the request of the family, they would like for everyone to wear
something turquoise or light blue.
