Shirley Garner-Bolin
Shirley Garner-Bolin, 55, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away on
Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Tennova Harton Healthcare. Memorial services
will be scheduled at a later time.
A native of Sewanee, she was the daughter of the late John L and Pearl
Bouldin Garner. She loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with
her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James
Garner.
She is survived by one son, Walter Garner and his wife, Jessica of
Tullahoma; one daughter, Amanda Garner of Manchester; four sisters, Betty
Barrotine, Susie Pritchett, Connie Moulder and Johnnie Walden, all of
Manchester and three grandchildren, Jesse Boner, Braxton Garner and
Paizleigh Musgrove.

7/24/16 — Charles E. Brantley
Funeral services for Mr. Charles E. Brantley, age 91 of Wartrace will be
conducted at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home
Chapel with Louis Johnson and Tom Brantley officiating. Burial will
follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation
will be held from 3:00 PM until time of service on Sunday at the funeral
home. Charles passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at McArthur Manor in
Manchester, TN.
Charles was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late John French
and Mary Wilson Brantley. He was a self-employed farmer, a member of
Bell Springs Methodist Church, and a 1943 graduate of Manchester High
School. Charles served his country during the World War II era in the
United States Navy and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He
was a 50-year member of the Lions Club, a member of the Herman Lodge in
Beechgrove, and served his community as a road commissioner and a county
commissioner. Being a top breeder of many famous TN Walking Horses,
Charles was inducted into the TN Walking Horse Hall of Fame and TN Sports
Hall of Fame for Equine Expertise and Success. In 1970, he was a judge
at the TN Walking Horse National Celebration.
In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by two
brothers, John French Brantley, Jr. and James Thomas Brantley; one
sister, Ada Brantley Wright; and special nephews, Tommy and Chuck
Halmontaller. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Nelly
Wright Brantley of Wartrace, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Charles’
name to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network, 110 E Lauderdale St,
Tullahoma, TN 37388. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for

7/23/16 — Ivy D. Smith
Mr. Ivy D. Smith, 93, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away Thursday,
July 21, 2016 at Tennova Harton Healthcare. Funeral Services are scheduled
for Saturday, July 23 at 2 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel
with Bro. Jack Hice officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 22 from 5 – 8 PM.
Ivy, the son of the late Ivy G. and Axie Barham Smith, was born in Hardin
County, TN on October 10, 1922. He graduated from Lawrence County High
School in 1950, attended Martin College and graduated from University of
Tennessee Martin. He was a U S Navy veteran serving in WW II. He also
served in the Naval Reserve and the Army National Guard. After serving his
country, he began teaching electronics, mathematics and eventually being a
principal. He taught at the United Electronics Laboratories in Louisville,
KY, the University of TN, Knoxville, the University of TN, Murfreesboro and
George Peabody College, Nashville. He also taught school in Lawrence
County for 16 years and at Tullahoma High School for 13 years. He was a
member of Marble Plains Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, traveling and
repairing electronics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 8
sisters. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Jelene Finney Smith of
Tullahoma; two sons, Dennis Smith and his wife, Doris of Nashville and John
Smith and his wife, Angie of Lynchburg; two daughters, Theresa Carter and
her husband, Derrick of Winchester and Colleen Sharpton and her husband,
Glen of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Glen Smith and his wife, Mary of
Memphis; three sisters, Dorotha Davis and Betty McCullum, both of Lenoir
City, TN and Brenda Bushnell of Reagan, TN; eight grandchildren and 10
great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial donations be made to the
Marble Plains Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband Kevin Sanders, Children; Timothy Sanders and Devon Sanders, Grandmother; Mary Scott, Father; Tim Scott, Mother; Edith Scott, and brother William Scott. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Saturday July 23, 2016. Funeral Service is Sunday July 24, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Cumberland Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be at Eastern Star Cemetery.
7/22/16 — Raymond “Buck” Brandon
Funeral services for Mr. Raymond “Buck” Brandon, Jr., age 76, of
Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at
Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Vile officiating. Burial
will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family
will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral
home. Mr. Brandon passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at St. Thomas
Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.
Buck was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Raymond and Siba
McCullough Brandon. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. He
loved watching westerns, cooking for family, gardening and running his
produce stand, Sunday football, and especially loved spending time with
his family.
In addition to his parents, Buck was also preceded in death by his wife,
Frances Winton Brandon; and two brothers, John and Randal Brandon. He is
survived by one son, Bruce (Lisa) Brandon of Hillsboro; one daughter,
Cindy (Clint) Shelton of Manchester; three sisters, Eunice Harmon and
Geraldine (Eddy) Adcock, both of Manchester, and Joyce (Bobby) Trail of
Beechgrove; three grandchildren, Caylee (Kevin) Gilliam, Macie and Gage
Brandon; his special “Little Buddy”, Phillip; and numerous nieces and
nephews.

Jerry L. Biles
Mr. Jerry L Biles, age 78 of McMinnville passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. No services are scheduled.
Mr. Biles, a native of McMinnville, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred C Biles. He was a truck driver who enjoyed small engine repair. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Biles.
He is survived by three sons, Troy, Travis and Eric Biles, all of McMinnville; two brothers, Anthony Biles of Rock Island, TN and Graham Biles of Las Vegas; one sister, Frieda Biles of FL and one grandchild, Cory Biles.

7/21/16 — George Ronald Lopozer
George Ronald “Ronnie” Lopozer, age 68, passed away July 18, 2016. He was the son of the late Ervin and Mervin Lopozer. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ and the United Methodist and retired from being a Marine for 21 years and a United States Postal Mail Carrier. After retiring, he loved to hunt, spend time with his children, grandchildren, and his wife. He took great pride in his love for his country and was proud to be a veteran. He always enjoyed his family.
Mr. Lopozer was preceded in death by a wife; Sylvia Lopozer, and a brother; Jesse Lopozer. He is survived by wife: Brenda Green Lopozer, of Millington, Tennessee, 3 daughters; Rhonda and Shane Canady, of Covington, Tennessee, Jessica and Eric McMahan, of Morrison, Tennessee, Angie and Jeremy Crouch, of Beechgrove, Tennessee, and a son; Joshua and DeAnna Shelton, of Manchester, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a “special” cousin, that was always like a sister; Sherry Giddens, of Savannah, Georgia.

Graveside service for Mr. Donald Lee Richardson age 70 of Manchester will
be held Friday July 22, 2016 at 3:30 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Richardson passed away July 17, 2016 at Parkridge Medical Center in
Chattanooga
Donald was born February 18, 1946 to the late John Bell and Louise Nipper
Richardson. He is survived by his wife; Carolyn Richardson, son; Brent
lee Richardson, daughter Candice Louise McPherson, granddaughter; Megan
and two sisters Anna Bell Townsend and Stella McWhorter both of
Manchester.

Charles Vernon McEwen, age 62 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Sunday,
July 17, 2016, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral Services
will be conducted Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11 AM at the Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial
Gardens. Visitation

Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Winchester, Mr. McEwen was the son of the late Torrance Frazier
and Bettie Mullins McEwen. He was a U S Air Force veteran and retired from
Bridgestone. He loved country music and enjoyed singing and playing the
guitar. He was also an avid TN Vols Football fan and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers,
Jimmy and Freddie Lowe and Curtis and Ray McEwen and three sisters, Mary
Lowe, Mary Francis McEwen and Ruby McEwen.
Mr. McEwen is survived by one son, Jonathan McEwen and his wife, Rashae of
Tullahoma; two daughters, Mary McEwen-Arnold and her husband, Terry of
Buford, GA and Christy Phillips; three brothers, Paul Lowe and Bobby Lowe,
both of Manchester and Samuel Lowe; two sisters, Bettie Lowe of Tullahoma
and Arey Jean Barton and her husband, Thomas of Tullahoma; four
grandchildren, Colton and Abigail McEwen and Alyssa and Jacob Phillips; one
great grandchild, Joshua McEwen and special friend, Cheryl Stephens of
Tullahoma.

Jackie was born in Fort Carson, CO, the son of Jackie and Kathy Joan Hill
Reed. He loved to build motors on cars, all things mechanical, and ride
motorcycles.
