10/1/16 — Jimmy Wayne Meadows

flower aFuneral services for Mr. Jimmy Wayne Meadows, age 75 of Morrison will be
conducted at 3pm, Saturday, October 1 at the Manchester Funeral Home
Chapel with Aaron Barrett and Jody Campbell officiating. Burial will
follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as
pallbearers. Visitation with the Meadows family will be Saturday from
10am until service time at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Meadows passed
this life Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his
loving family.

Mr. Meadows was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the son of the late
Charlie Winton Meadows and Zeta Erlene Pedigo Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a
lifelong farmer and was a graduate of Coffee County Central High School.
He loved telling stories and farming his land. In addition to his
parents, Mr. Meadows was also preceded in death by two sisters, Martha
June Meadows Parkhurst and Dorothy Anita Meadows Broadway. He leaves to
cherish his memory:

10/1/16 — Doyle Edward Felts

doyle-felts-1475166088Doyle Edward Felts, 90, a resident of Tullahoma, passed this life on
Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare-Harton. Funeral
services are scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 12 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Davis and Bro. John Payne
officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation
with the family will be Saturday from 10 AM until the service time.

A native of Tullahoma, he graduated from Tullahoma High School in the Class
of 1946. He was a veteran of WW II, drafted out of school, and served as
an MP in the Philippines Theater. He became a master sergeant and was in
the Army Reserves and with the Army Corps of Engineers for nearly 40 years.
He retired in 1986 as a GS-12 and moved back to Tullahoma. He was a fine
Christian man and served over benevolence as an elder at Wilson Avenue
Church of Christ, where he helped many people.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Elsie Lawson Felts;
five brothers, Robert, Aaron, Delmer, Wilber and Jim Felts and his sister,
Louise Jones.

Doyle is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy J. Ruby Felts; children,
Mark Felts and his wife, Gaye of Tullahoma, Cathy Herald and her husband,
Stephen of Hueytown, AL, Mike Felts and his wife, Lori of Kimberly, AL and
Brad Felts and his wife, Lindsay of Tullahoma; seven grandchildren and
fourteen great-grandchildren.

9/30/16 — Glenn Howard “Buck” Adams

flower 17Glenn Howard “Buck” Adams was born March 17, 1937 to the late Marce and Kathleen Adams of Hillsboro, Tennessee. He joined the Navy and served our country before residing in Hillsboro with his wife Shirley Ann Howard Adams. Buck worked up until retirement at the Aero Space Research “AEDC” as a Boiler Technician. After retiring, Buck enjoyed his free time around people and people enjoyed Buck. Anytime you would see Buck he would be smiling. Buck knew who and what people needed and he would lend a helping hand. He was forever calling to check on someone to see how they were doing and if they needed something. Buck loved his friends and family and was so proud of both. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 3 Sisters; Martha Ann Brown, Virginia Kay Adams, and Dorothy Sherrill, 2 Granddaughters; Amber Jones and Chasity Anderson. He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann, 3 Children; Glenda and (David) Gonzales of Manchester, Tennessee, Rodney and (Teresa) Adams of Hillsboro, Tennessee, and Wanda and (Richard) Stephens of Hillsboro, Tennessee, 4 Grandchildren; Jennifer Gallagher of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ashley Banda of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Chelsey Bradley of Hillsboro, Tennessee, and Jessica Adams of Hillsboro, Tennessee, and 8 Great-Grandchildren; Gage Thompson, Bailey Hale, Sophie Banda, Nevaeh Valentine, Bryson Hale, Emalynn Anderson, Bentley Hale, and Logan Gallagher, Special Friend; Wayne Matlock, and many others.

Mrs. Willie Jo Hill 78, of Winchester passed Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Robert and Geneva Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hill

She is survived by her:

Four children, Janet (Edmond Jr) Miller of Smyrna, TN; James “Kenny” (Arlessia) Hill, Cathy (Jimmy) Beasley and Pamela (Jerry) Brown all of Winchester, TN;

Nine grandchildren, Travis, Kendral, Tina, Maranda, Brandon, Mya, Kabria, Roman, Jarren.

flower 9Paul Michael Quinn Sr. (Mike) 82, Beechgrove, Tennessee, July 12, 1934,
Passed from this life September 25, 2016. Visitation will be held
Thursday, September 29, from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at Central Funeral Home,
Manchester, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at Temple Baptist
Church, Fairlane Drive Manchester, Tennessee on Friday, September 30, at
1:00 P.M. followed by burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Tullahoma,
Tennessee. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of the late
O.C. Quinn Sr. and Ethel Parker Quinn. He was preceded in death by three
sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60
years, Mary Jean (Dunnie) Quinn of Beechgrove, sons Paul Michael Quinn
Jr. (Priscilla) and David Quinn of Beechgrove, daughter Diana Quinn of
Manchester, two grandsons, Ian Quinn (Michelle) of Phoenix Arizona,
Parker Quinn (Lindsey) of Manchester, one granddaughter, Meagan Peacher
(or Campbell) (Luke) of Robertsdale, Alabama and two great grandchildren
and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews for which he has great
fondness.

Upon graduation from the Massey College in 1954 (later absorbed by
Sanford University) he was employed by Hayes Aircraft in Birmingham,
Alabama which was involved in the overhaul of WWII aircraft such as the
B-25, B-50, and C-119. While employed as assistant to the company’s
Equipment Control Officer, he attended day and evening courses in
aircraft tooling and production offered on site by the U.S.A.F. for two
years.

In 1957 he was assigned to the Army Ballistic Missile Agency (later NASA)
at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama to assist in development of the
Jupiter, June, and Saturn missiles. Due to slowdown in space industries,
he changed career direction to join Liberty National Life Insurance as an
agent in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee district office, where he received
the National Quality Award and National Sales Achievement Awards
presented by American Life Underwriters Institute.

In 1977 he rejoined Avco Aerostructures in Nashville, Tennessee where he
had previously worked on a short term basis. While at Avco (later
Textron) he worked on various aircraft projects until his promotion in
1979 to Manager of Manufacturing Planning until his retirement there in
1989.

Mike enjoyed his family, church, fishing and reading Christian and
historical literature as well as many biographies. He was an active
member of the Temple Baptist Church.

9/24/16—Hughlene Mildred Rapien

HUGHLENE MILDRED RAPIEN
(April 26, 1927 – September 20, 2016)

Hughlene Mildred Rapien was born April 26, 1927, to her late parents Hugh
and Lillie Plattenburg in Winchester, Tennessee. Hughlene was preceded in
death by a son; David Kent Johnson, and a brother; Stanley Plattenburg.
Hughlene and husband, Kenneth Rapien resided in Manchester, Tennessee.
Hughlene was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ. She retired as a
teacher from the Franklin county school system. After retirement,
Hughlene became an accomplished artist and took art classes at Motlow
State Community College and M.T.S.U. Painting became her primary focus,
and she painted many different subjects all through out her life.
Hughlene is survived by her husband; Kenneth, of Manchester, Tennessee,a
daughter; Debra Davis, of Manchester, Tennessee, 3 grandchildren; Austin
and (Abby) Davis of Manchester, Kortney Phifer, of Birmingham, Alabama,
and David Mount of Benson, Arizona, 4 great-grandchildren; Tinzley and
Jonas Phifer, and Rachelle and Isaiah Mount, and a sister; Mary Ann
Felton.

VISITATION: Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5 – 8:00 P.M. at the Central
Funeral Home

10/1/16 — Susan Bolado Stewart

flower 21A Celebration of Life service for Susan Bolado Stewart, age 63 of Beechgrove, will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Susan was one of a kind. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. Traveling in the motorhome was one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed reading, going to the beach, spending time with her family and her animals. She had a laugh that would brighten your day, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her father, Ruben Bolado; mother, Pauline Bogle; husband, Dean Alan Stewart; brothers, Joel Bolado and Beau Bolado. Survived by her daughter, Deborah Michele Jenkins; her significant other, Kenneth Stearrett; step-mother, Alice Bolado; brother, John; sisters, Ruby Ann, Valerie, Susie, Holly and Joy; special nieces, Jennifer Singleton and husband Steve, Jessica Holland, Joanna Davis and husband Jeremy, April Denning; grandchildren, Joshua, Shane, Kirby, Ethan, Emma, Charles Ean, Zachary, Jacob, Gabriel, Rebekah Jo, Elizabeth, Lane and Kylee; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

allenFuneral services for Donald “Don” Ray Allen, age 42 of Manchester, will be conducted on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Allen passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Don was born on December 30, 1973 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In previous years, he enjoyed going fishing. Don loved watching NASCAR and Michigan football.

Preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera Parker. Survived by his loving mother, Margaret Parker Allen; grandfather, William T. Parker; daughter, Chrissy Allen Beason and husband Stanley; son, Nicholas Allen grandchildren, Rayden and Phoenix Beason; uncle, Billy Parker; aunt, Shelliah Vance and husband Donald; cousin, Matthew Vance and wife Mary; special friend, Jody Wilson; several other relatives and friends.

9/24/16 — Robert Earl Walden

flower 13Robert Earl Walden age 84 of Murfreesboro passed away Wednesday September
21, 2016. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late Earl
and Ruby Brannon Walden. He is also preceded in death by a sister Marion
Walden Underhill, and two brothers; Sam Walden and Richard Walden.

Mr. Walden is survived by his wife of 46 years; Dorothy Davenport Walden,
a brother Elbert “Cotton” Walden of Smyrna, a step son, two step
grandchildren, three great step grandchildren, two sister in laws, Nancy
Walden and Frances Walden and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Walden was retired from Alvin C York Medical Center and retired from
the United States Marines serving three tours in Vietnam.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon Saturday until time of service at 2:00pm at
Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Dr. F. Murray Mathis officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to The Alzheimers Association.
