HUGHLENE MILDRED RAPIEN
(April 26, 1927 – September 20, 2016)

Hughlene Mildred Rapien was born April 26, 1927, to her late parents Hugh
and Lillie Plattenburg in Winchester, Tennessee. Hughlene was preceded in
death by a son; David Kent Johnson, and a brother; Stanley Plattenburg.
Hughlene and husband, Kenneth Rapien resided in Manchester, Tennessee.
Hughlene was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ. She retired as a
teacher from the Franklin county school system. After retirement,
Hughlene became an accomplished artist and took art classes at Motlow
State Community College and M.T.S.U. Painting became her primary focus,
and she painted many different subjects all through out her life.
Hughlene is survived by her husband; Kenneth, of Manchester, Tennessee,a
daughter; Debra Davis, of Manchester, Tennessee, 3 grandchildren; Austin
and (Abby) Davis of Manchester, Kortney Phifer, of Birmingham, Alabama,
and David Mount of Benson, Arizona, 4 great-grandchildren; Tinzley and
Jonas Phifer, and Rachelle and Isaiah Mount, and a sister; Mary Ann
Felton.

VISITATION: Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5 – 8:00 P.M. at the Central
Funeral Home

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, September 24, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the
Concord Cemetery
