11/5/16 — Elvis Madison Ford
Elvis Madison Ford, 88, of Manchester, TN, died November 2, 2016. The son
of Ottis and Altie Bell Ford of Burkes Hollow, Rutherford County, TN.
Elvis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Hazel Ford,
his three children; Deborah (Steve) Huff of Marietta, GA, Mike (Keli)
Ford of Franklin, TN and Lorrie (Craig) Finley of Franklin, TN: two
sisters; Gladys Harrell of Manchester, TN and Ruth Hamlett of
Murfreesboro, TN: three grandchildren; Kara (Brian) Johnson of Acworth,
Ga, Jason (Chesney) Ford of Franklin, TN and Andrew Ford of Nashville,
TN: two great-grandchildren; Alec and Harper Johnson and many beloved
nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Elvis was preceded in
death by four sisters; Evelyn Lannom, Ruby Cathy, Barbara Ford, and Elsie
Ford. Elvis served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane
mechanic staff sergeant from 1950 to 1954. he then spent the rest of his
37 career years as a supervisor at Arnold Engineering Development Center
in Tullahoma, TN from where he retired in 1992. Elvis was a devout
Christian and an active member of Southside and Red Hill Churches of
Christ. He enjoyed farming and tending to his cattle, camping, attending
church, reading, working on projects in his shop and spending cherished
time with his family and friends. Elvis was a family man and a man of
God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

ODDIST “WAYNE” BONNER
(September 27, 1928 – November 1, 2016)
Oddist Wayne Bonner was born on September 27, 1928, in Pelham, Tennessee,
to the late parents Morgan Haskell and Bethie Dillon Hawk Bonner. Wayne
and his wife Pauline Nunley Bonner reside in Morrison, Tennessee. Wayne
was a member of the Campground Freewill Baptist Church, a hunter,
fisherman, and loved to ride four wheelers. He loved the outdoors. He was
a Coal-miner, lumberjack, farmer, and worked at Carrier for 25 years. He
was a hardworker throughout his life, a loving father that had high
morals and expected no less than he would give himself. Wayne was
preceded in death by a sister; Opal Buckner, and a brother; Clifton
Bonner. He is survived by his wife Pauline, five children; Ann and
(Richard)Hokirk of Estill Springs, Tennessee, Mike and (Monica) Bonner of
Morrison, Tennessee, Sue Wolfe of Morrison, Tennessee, Maxine Myers of
Manchester, Tennessee, and Rebecca Scott of Winchester, Tennessee, 12
grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews,
and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bethel
Cemetery in Pelham, Tennessee.

11/3/16–Anna Cole
Anna R Cole, age 93 of Tullahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at
her residence. Graveside Services will be scheduled at the West Virginia
National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV.
Mrs. Cole was the daughter of the late Paul E Beamer and the late, Vera Lee
Beamer Griswold. She worked as a library assistant for many years. She
loved her family and friends. She enjoyed books and animals, especially
dogs. She also enjoyed gardening and had a “Green Thumb”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charles H. Cole and two sons, Charles Edwin Cole and David James Cole.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon R. Wendland and her husband, Larry
of Tullahoma and Deborah Jean Cook and her husband, James of Wakefield,
Virginia; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

MARJORIE DENNIS HOBSON
(June 16, 1927 – October 30, 2016)
Marjorie D. Hobson was born June 16, 1927, to the late John Robert and
Olive Ruth (Wilson) Dennis of Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Marjorie was
married to the late Wilber Ryland Hobson. Also preceded in death by a
daughter; Peggy Hobson, brother; Marvin Dennis. Marjorie was a high
school math teacher and guidance counselor at Whitwell, Tennessee, in the
Marion County School District. She was a member of the First United
Methodist Church, in Manchester, Tennessee. Marjorie is survived by a
son; Ryland Wilbur Hobson, of Kodak, Tennessee, five grandchildren;
Courtney Steere of Manchester, Tennessee, Stephanie Spooner of Kodak,
Tennessee, Christopher Morris of Washington, Alexander Hobson of Florida,
and Chelsea Hobson of Sevierville, Tennessee, six great-grandchildren,
Hailey Hobson of Florida, Benjamen Hobson of Sevierville, Tennessee,
Isabella Parelli of Kodak, Tennessee, Lauren Hobson of Florida, Shaylee
Meadows of Manchester, Tennessee, and Teegan Steere of Manchester,
Tennessee.

Paul Lester Seal, 97, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his home.
He was a native of Cannon Co.
He is survived by his children, Avery Trenton (Kathy) Seal of Woodbury
and Paulette Seal Sirbaugh of LaVergne; Brother, Jimmy (Juanita) Seal of
Manchester; Grandchildren, Trenton Paul Seal, Randall Kyson Sirbaugh,
Rica Dale Srbaugh French (Galen), Mandy Gale Seal McElroy (Robin), Brandi
Michele Seal Reynolds (Michael); Great Grandchildren, Shawn Kyson
Sirbaugh, Ethan & Eli McElroy, Kaden Reynolds, Emorie Claire McElroy,
McKenzi Michele Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Mason Seal and Clara Mai
Jones Seal; 2 Sons: Kenny Mason Seal and Jerry Dale Seal; Siblings,
William Robert Seal, John T. Seal, Franklin Seal, Allene Seal Ferrell,
Georgia Faye Seal Brandon, Carmene Seal, Irene Seal McCord, Angie Bea
Seal Farrar.
Mr. Seal was a member of the Earlyville Church of Christ. He was a
farmer, school bus driver and deputy sheriff for many years. He enjoyed
raising mules and horses and was a member of the mule skinners
association.
Funeral Services will be 3 pm Wednesday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral
Home with Bro. Johnny Lance and Bro. Charles Williams officiating.
Interment will follow Preston Cemetery. Visitation with the family will
be from 3 PM to 9 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

10/31/16 — Garland Elkins
Garland Elkins,beloved husband, father, grandfather, and faithful
evangelist of the Gospel ofChrist, entered into his Heavenly Reward on
October 28, 2016.
Born on August 19,1926 in the Elkins Community near Woodbury, Tennessee,
Garland graduated fromFreed Hardeman University, and also attended Middle
Tennessee State Universityand the University of Tennessee. He was awarded
a Doctorate of Ministry fromSouthern Christian University. Throughout his
life, he was a Faithful defenderof the Gospel of Christ as an author,
lecturer, debater, and educator; alifelong student of the Word, searching
the scriptures daily, committing themto memory and life. A Gospel
Minister for more than 67 years, Garlandproclaimed the Word at numerous
congregations across the country. For the past26 years he served as
Minister for the Stanton Church of Christ, and Professorand Dean of
Public Relations for the Memphis School of Preaching.
Garland was the last surviving child of his parents, the late Richard and
EmmaTodd Elkins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Haskell, Fred,
Clark,Bob; and two sisters, Loretta and Maxine. He leaves to cherish his
memory, hiswife of Sixty-Seven years, the love of his life, Corinne Smith
Elkins; threedaughters, Connie Miles and husband Kenneth, Jan Elkins, and
Denise Healy andhusband Bill; three grandchildren, his namesake Stephanie
Garland Healy Staggsand husband Logan, Shane Alexander Healy, and Olivia
Gabrielle Miles; and ahost of other loving family and friends.
The family will gather to receive friends on Sunday, October 30, between
Fouro’clock and Seven o’clock in the evening at the Forest Hill Church of
Christ,3950 Forest Hill-Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38125. Funeral
services will beheld at Twelve o’clock noon on Monday, October 31, also
at the Forest Hilllocation, with visitation from Ten o’clock in the
morning until a Quarter ofTwelve. Interment will be held at Eleven
o’clock in the morning on Tuesday,November 1, at the Riverside Cemetery
in Woodbury, Tennessee.

10/29/16 — Dennie Edmund Bush
Funeral services for Mr. Dennie Edmund Bush, age 72, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Elder Dale Grosch officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim McCullough, James “Moon” Mooneyham, Roger Kraft, Keith Thacker, Maurice “Moose” Jarrell, and Bobby Walker. Porter Hailey will be an honorary pallbearer. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, October 28 at the funeral home. Mr. Bush passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
Dennie was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Oliver Newton and Fruzie Shelton Bush. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church. Dennie owned and operated Bush’s Barber Shop for 51 years, where he was a Master Barber. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, farming, and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Dennie was also preceded in death by an infant son, Blaine Bush; and one sister, Rita Alene Bush. He is survived by his loving and faithful companion, Betty Carol “B.C.” Johns; one son, Kent Edmund (Nancy) Bush; two brothers, Keith (Carolyn) Bush and Dan (Donna) Bush; three sisters, June Bearden, Betty Dozier and Judy (Roger) Kraft; one grandchild, Olivia Grace Bush; numerous nieces and nephews; his former wife, Judy Pugh; and many caring friends.

10/29/16—Mark Sherwin Nix
Nix, Mark Sherwin, of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday, October
25th, at his home at the age of 46. Mr. Nix was born in Ft. Riley, Kansas
to the late James W. and Margit Birnbaum Nix who survives. During his
life Mr. Nix served his country in the United States Army, and worked as
a tool changer at JSP. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two
daughters, Alyssa and Madison Nix of Knoxville; one son, Hayden Nix also
of Knoxville; one brother, James R. Nix and his wife Marla of Tullahoma;
two sisters, Patricia Watkins and her husband Randall of Tullahoma, and
Nancy Nix of Manchester; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Nix will be held on Saturday,
October 29th from 12:00 to 3:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. For those who
wish the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the
“National Museum of the U.S. Army Fund” P.O. Box 96281, Washington D.C.
20090-6281. Mr. Nix was very proud of his and his families military
service, and the funds of this campaign will be used to build The
National Museum of the United States Army, which is currently the only
branch of the U.S. Military without its own national museum.

10/29/16 — Troy Lee Bailey, Jr.
Troy Lee Bailey Jr, 54, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away on Monday,
October 24, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Nashvillle. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 PM at the Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby McBee officiating. Burial will follow
at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, from
12 PM until the service time.
A native of Artesia, California, he was the son of Troy Lee Bailey Sr and
Joyce Teague Bailey of Tullahoma. He was a U S Navy veteran and enjoyed
fishing, reading, gardening and working puzzles. He loved animals and
always enjoyed spending family time with his great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Karren and
Carla; two nephews, Brent Morris and Chris Apicella; five great nieces and
nephews, Erin, Gavin, Hayden, Emma and Briley; aunts, Dorothy Bass of
Collinsville, IL and Jeanne Taylor and her husband, Floyd of Jonesborough,
Arkansas and special friend, Margaret Judge of Manchester.

Taylor Weddington, age 67, of Tullahoma, passed away on Saturday, October
22, 2016 at NHC of Tullahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday,
October 25, 2016 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro. Tim
McGehee officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday, October
24, 2016 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Jiles Thomas and
Jeanette Martin Weddington. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, golfing and
playing the guitar. He also enjoyed going to the Winchester Race Track on
Saturday nights and watching car racing.
Mr. Weddington is survived by one son, Chad Weddington and his fiancé,
Taylor of Tullahoma; one daughter, Connie Landers and her husband, Pat of
Tullahoma; brothers, Eddie Weddington and his wife, Norma of Tullahoma,
Gene “Cotton” Weddington and his wife, Judy of Viola and Doris Weddington
and his wife, Tammy of Lincoln County; sister Kay Crowell and her husband,
Jerry of Tullahoma and four grandchildren, Patrick Landers II, Peyton
Landers, Megan Landers and Anna Reynolds.
