11/19/16—Douglas Stephen McKenzie

McKenzie, Douglas Stephen, age 50, of Lynchburg, passed from this life on
Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Doug
was raised in Moore County, Tennessee and was a 1984 graduate of Moore
County High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force
during Desert Storm as an F-15 crew chief in the 3246th Test Wing, Eglin
Air Force Base. He was then employed as an aircraft mechanic with
American Airlines before returning home to Lynchburg. He was employed
with Jack Daniels Distillery for 18 years and was the Director of
Bottling Operations. Doug was an avid hunter and football enthusiast,
especially for the Moore County Raiders. He received his B.A. Management
and Human Resources degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and has been
a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church and Main Street Church of
Christ. Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.D. and Lynette
McKenzie, E.W. Campbell; brother-in-law, Gerald Fletcher; and
sister-in-law, Robbie McKenzie. He is survived by his wife, Lorrie of 29
years; sons, Jared and Evan; daughter, Erin; parents, R.D. McKenzie Jr.
and his wife Ann and Linda McKenzie; grandmother, Mahala Campbell;
brother, Troy McKenzie and his wife Teena; step-sister, Rachel McKelvey
and her husband Richie; in-laws, John and Pat Fletcher; and many loving
nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 18th,
2016 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be
held on Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Keasey officiating. Burial will follow at
Smith’s Chapel Cemetery in Moore County. For those who wish, in lieu of
flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The University of
Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210-4486
or to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network, P.O. Box 1355, Tullahoma,
Tennessee 37388.

11/19/16—Erik New

Erik Sloan New was born September 8, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia, his
parents are Larry New and step-mother, Myma, of Mims, Florida, and his
mother; Carol Clark and step-father John, of Suffolk, Virginia. Erik was
a truck driver and spent alot of time traveling. He had a big heart and
was always willing to help anyone in need. Erik is survived by his loving
wife Diane New, of Tullahoma, Tennessee where they both resided. Along
with his wife Diane, he is survived by, a sister; Marietta Dawn Brown,
brothers; Christopher Edkins, Patrick Edkins, John Clark, Jr, and Edwin
Clark.

11/19/16—Becky Kickliter

Rebecca Ann “Becky” Kickliter was a native of Waurika, Oklahoma and daughter of the late James MacDougald Ferguson of Plaza, Mexico, and Mary Lucile Campbell Ferguson of Sugden, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rufus Kickliter of Pensacola, Florida. She was an avid cross-stitcher and a caring parent to her children. Bobby Kickliter of Pensacola and Jennifer Kickliter, who resided with her in Manchester, Tennessee. In addition to her children, she is survived by her sister. Debbie Bezdek of Houston, Texas, and her brother, James Ferguson, of Richland Hills, Texas.

11/17/16–Joy Anita Davenport

Davenport, Joy Anita, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, November
14th, 2016 at her home at the age of 65. Mrs. Davenport was born in
Tullahoma to the late Grady Knight Sr. and Mildred Huddleston Knight who
survives. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one
brother, Calvin Knight; and one nephew, Jason Knight. Mrs. Davenport is
survived by her mother, Mildred Knight of Moore County; her husband,
Richard Davenport of Tullahoma; her son, James Davenport and his wife
Katie of Tullahoma; her daughter, Shanna Gaither and her husband Shea of
Tullahoma; four grandchildren, James and Lillian Wynn Davenport and
Olivia and Owen Gaither; four sisters, Brenda Oliver and her husband Jim
of Tullahoma, Donna Wells and her husband E.J. of Franklin County, Sandra
Richter and her husband Rick of Lynchburg, and Melissa Brazier and her
husband David of Tullahoma; three brothers, Grady Knight Jr. and his wife
Sue of Moore County, Danny Knight and his wife Linda of Franklin County,
and Ricky Knight of Moore County; sister-in-law, Judy Knight of
Tullahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on
Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
11:00am-2:00pm. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Rose Hill
Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Purdue officiating. For those who wish,

11/16/16—Rusty Lee Shelton

Funeral services for Mr. Rusty Lee Shelton, Sr., age 46, of Unionville, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 before the funeral service. Mr. Shelton passed away at Heritage Hospital in Shelbyville, Tennessee on November 12, 2016.

Mr. Shelton was born in Manchester, Tennessee, the son of  Nickey Lee Shelton and Nancy Lee Barnes. He was a forklift driver for Whirlpool for many years. Mr. Shelton lived in Unionville, Tennessee with his wife, Dawn Barnard Shelton.

11/17/16—Robert Lee Burks

Mr. Robert Lee Burks, age 80, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on
Monday, November 14, 2016 at his residence. Private memorial services
will be held at his home on a later date.

Robert was born in Normandy, TN, the son of the late Ewin and Elizabeth
Nowlin Burks. He served his country in the United States Army. Robert
was a machinist for Eaton Corporation in Shelbyville, TN, having retired
after 32 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by three
brothers, Clyde, Guy, and James Burks; two sisters, Martha Langford and
Elizabeth Burks; and one step-daughter, Ronita Parsons. He is survived
by his wife, Patsy Greene Burks; two daughters, Kathy (Kenneth) Wick and
Robin (Chris) Pfaff; two step-daughters, Tina (Jackie) Waggoner and Penny
Jacobs; granddaughter, Brandy Sons; grandsons, Brandon Elam, Erick Elam,
and Jamie Holbrook; and four great grandchildren.

11/18/16 — Raymond Floyd Haley

flower 17Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Floyd Haley, age 85 of Manchester will be conducted at 11am Friday, November 18 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Anderson and Brent Haley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the Haley family will be Thursday, November 17 from 4pm until 8pm at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Haley passed this life Sunday at the Manchester Healthcare Center.

Mr. Haley was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the son of the late Raymond Johnson Haley and Evelyn Walker Haley. He was retired from the Lewis Sales Company in Atlanta, Ga., love fishing, and going to Bluegrass festivals where he played the mandolin and guitar. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Cpt. Frankie Yates and by a brother, William Haley. Mr. Haley is survived by:

Luann Catherine Schmidt

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Mrs. Luann Catherine Schmidt, age 56
of Manchester, will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 5:00
P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Hospitality Suite at Coffee County Funeral
Chapel. Mrs. Schmidt passed away on Saturday,
November 12, 2016.

Luann was born on September 16, 1960 in Mendota, Illinois. She was a
school bus driver for Coffee County Schools and formerly worked at Sonic
for over 10 years. Luann was very “crafty” and enjoyed antique shopping,
painting and sewing. She also loved to decorate for the holidays. Above
everything, her family came first.

Preceded in death by her father, Warren Peasley; father-in-law, William
“Bill” L. Schmidt; mother-in-law, Winifred Jean Schmidt. Survived by her
mother, Norma Peasley; her loving husband of 36 years, Bill Schmidt; her
children, Ashley Nichole Schmidt, Aaron Jacob Schmidt, Adam William
Schmidt, Austin Lee Schmidt; grandchildren, Brennon Dax Schmidt, Abigail
Ray Schmidt; brother, Mark Peasley; sister, Carrie Delhotal.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Earl House, age 86, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home with Dr. Kerry Walker officiating. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Mr. House passed away at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on November 13, 2016.

Mr. House was born in Hamilton, Mississippi, the son of the late William Leonard House and Lela Easter. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He worked for AEDC as an instrument technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Leonard House and Lela Easter; three brothers, Bill House, Herbert House, Durwood House; sister, Alzie Blair. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jean House; sons, David House and Neal House; daughters, Jackie Barnes and Peggy House; grandchildren, Chris Barnes, Calvin Barnes, Angie Barnes Shelton, John Collins, Kyle Chumbley, Terri Walker, Kelly Smith, Kristen House, twelve great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
