Clay Floyd Rogers, age 83, of Estill Springs died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Unity Medical Center. No services are planned at this time. Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
A native of Lincoln County, TN, he was the son of the late John Luther and Betty Sullenger Rogers and the husband of Juanita Brown Rogers who survives. Mr. Rogers was a tour guide for the Jack Daniels Distillery and a farmer. He loved to play guitar and sing and especially admired Bill Monroe and Bluegrass music. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by infant sons, Ricky Lyn Rogers and Kenneth Dale Rogers, infant daughter, Vicky Diane Rogers, brothers, Leonard, Jesse, Clyde and James Rogers, sisters, Edwina Hughes, Margie Rogers, Sarah Cowley and Margaret Thomas.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rogers is survived by a son, Clay Allen Rogers and wife Glenna. Of Indiana, daughters, Opal Annette Peek of Murfreesboro, and Julie Faye Poe and husband Nathan of Tullahoma, Billy Rogers of Mulberry and Ray Rogers of Lynchburg, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Gary Wayne “Mouse” Nicoles, age 66, of Tullahoma who died Saturday December 8, 2018 will be conducted Wednesday, December 12, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 PM.
A native of Rochester, Pennsylvania, Mr. Nicoles was the son of the late Virgil Dale and Norma Jean Cochran Nicoles. He was a retired construction laborer for the Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of Union Labor of Chattanooga Chapter 846 . He enjoyed working with people and was an ordained Baptist pastor. He dearly loved his dog, “Lucy”.
Mr. Nicoles is survived by his daughter Laura Ann Robison and husband Bryan of Tullahoma, brothers, Dale and Chris Nicoles of Pennsylvania and Lee Nicoles of Tullahoma, sister, Ann Nicoles of Pennsylvania, dear friend Sue Puff of Normandy and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Edith Marie Chandler, age 83 of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in New Market, Alabama on March 21, 1935. Edith graduated
from Franklin County High School as Class Salutatorian with the class of 1955 and then attended Motlow State Community College. Before her retirement, she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide with Doctors Associates and had been awarded the CNA of the Year Award. Edith loved reading, collecting recipes, and crocheting. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandkids and great-kids. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church. Her family will remember her for her devotion and good sense of humor. Edith was preceded in death by her father, Odie David; mother and step-father, Florence and Jim Jernigan; husband, John “J.W.” Chandler; sisters, Mary Francis Kennedy and
Dorothy Luna; and brother, John David.
She is survived by her loving children, Janet (Wyatt) Nettles, Larry(Karren) Chandler, Dale (Sharon) Chandler, Jane Cardwell, and Joyce Stark, all
of Manchester; grandchildren, April, Jerry, Brandy, Donald, Cody, Casey,Jimmy
Bruce, William, Amanda, Wesley, Jacob, and Rachel; sixteen great-grandchildren;
siblings, Annie B. Keller of Winchester; brother-in-law, Clay (Beulah)
Chandler of Kokomo, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 12-2 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Mike Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Edith Chandler Scholarship Fund at Coffee County Bank.
The fund will be used to help students interested in pursuing nursing.

Debra (Roxanne) McCullough, age 61, of Morrison, TN, passed away on
December 4, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Roxanne
was a kind and giving person. She has now given several families a
Christmas miracle through organ donation. This was her last gift on this
earth. No services are planned.

Roxanne was born in Shelbyville, TN, and graduated from Shelbyville High
School in 1975, the daughter of the late Mac McCormick and Shirlene
Taylor, who survives. She was a home health caregiver and of the Baptist
faith. Roxanne enjoyed crocheting, reading, going to craft shows and
flea markets, and loved animals.

In addition to her father, Roxanne was also preceded in death by a
brother-in-law, Danny Michaels. In addition to her mother, Roxanne is
also survived by one aunt, Diane Adams; her loving husband, Kent
McCullough; one son, Josh (Tina) Smith; one grandchild, Kayla Smith;
father and mother-in-law, Walter and June McCullough; two sisters-in-law,
Angela Michaels and Janet (Paul) Thornton; nephew, Tyler Thornton; and
niece, Kaitlyn Thornton.

Mr. Jimmy Keith Cooper, 68, passed away early
Tuesday December 4, 2018 at the Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in
Murfreesboro after and extended illness. He was born in Manchester,
Tennessee on June 13, 1950 to James Rogers Cooper Jr. and Faye Armstrong
Cooper who preceded him in death along with his grandparents, James R. and
Eva Ritter Cooper Sr., William Clark and Maude Mae Jones Armstrong.

He is survived by his daughters, Leslie D. Brown and Melissa Cooper of
Manchester; sister, Karen Cooper Lowery of Manchester; granddaughter,
Lauren A. Gosnell of Murfreesboro.

Billy Jane Cooley Terry, age 93, passed this life on December 3, 2018, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Lorene Nunn of Manchester; son, Bradley (Kip); infant son, Barry Keith; brother, Alfred Nunn; sisters, Betty Carter and Bonnie Pogue; and the father of her sons, Billy Cooley.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gene Terry; her son, Curtis Jeff Cooley (Sandy) of Mayfield, Kentucky; sisters, Peggy West (Roger) of Winchester, Sandra York of Cullman, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Shirley Cooley of Manchester; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Jane loved her family and lifelong friends especially the Powers family with whom she worked for many years. She loved to garden, flowers, and red birds. Her wish for life was to be a wife and mother, to raise her children and keep a nice home. A gentle, kind and classy lady who was loved by many.

Upton, Louise Janie,of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday,
December 2nd, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare-Harton at the age of 88. Mrs.
Upton was born in Tullahoma to the late James and Effie Lowhorne Fanning
and was a member of the 1st Assembly of God. In addition to her parents,
Mrs. Upton was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Upton; one
brother-in-law, David Carmichael; and one great-nephew, Joey Doolittle.
She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Upton of Tullahoma; one son,
Eddie Upton and his wife Cat of Bullhead City, Arizona; three sisters,
Christine Doolittle and her husband John, Char Peterson and her husband
Rev. Richard, and Pat Carmichael; one brother, Jimmy Fanning and his wife
Angel; grandchildren, Destiny, Kirt, Joshawah, Vickie, and Esther; and
great-grandchildren, Sedona, Brendan, Kelsey, Luke, Preston, Keely,
Joshawa Jr, Nathaniel, Timothy, Patrick, Lydia, Sirena, Abigail, Noah and
Ben. Visitation for Mrs. Upton will be held on Friday, December 7th, 2018

Funeral services for Mr. Tollie Craig Lee, age 69, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with his brother Stephen “Mike” Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the funeral home. Mr. Lee passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at St. Thomas – Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN.

Tollie was born in Loudon, TN, to the late Frank and Annabell Lee. He was the owner of Lee’s Auto Upholstery for over 40 years. He loved watching sports and going to football games. Tollie was the lead singer of many rock ‘n roll bands for several years, and he loved people and was a very good listener. He was a very loving son, brother, and friend.

Tollie is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Annabell Lee. He is survived by his brothers, Frank Lee (Donna) and Stephen Lee (Debra); sister, Elizabeth Hooie (Joe); adopted son, Ian (Rebecca), three grandchildren; an adopted daughter; best friend, John Hershman; multiple nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Helen Lucille Hickerson Farrar went to be with our Lord on December 1, 2018.

She was born on October 20, 1925, in Coffee County to John Hickerson and Birdie Morgan. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-nine years, Carl L. Farrar; son, Jefferey West Farrar; brothers, Ewin and Tommy Hickerson; grandsons, Dionisios Vythoulkas and Caleb Riddle. She is survived by her sister, Opal Stephens of Manchester; daughters, Joan Vythoulkas and Brenda Farrar both of Woodbury, and Gina Prince of Estill Springs; sons, Steve Farrar of Elora, TN and Mark Farrar of Hendersonville; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

After raising six children Helen began her next life phase by working as a teacher’s aide at North Coffee Elementary School in Manchester for eleven years. Helen loved her family and gardening. She was a life-long member of Blanton’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Manchester.

Funeral services for Helen will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Louis Johnson and Bro. Roy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends form 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff and workers at The Rutherford Memory Care facility in Murfreesboro for their care and support for Helen for the past five years, as well as Avalon Hospice.
