Clay Floyd Rogers, age 83, of Estill Springs died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Unity Medical Center. No services are planned at this time. Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
A native of Lincoln County, TN, he was the son of the late John Luther and Betty Sullenger Rogers and the husband of Juanita Brown Rogers who survives. Mr. Rogers was a tour guide for the Jack Daniels Distillery and a farmer. He loved to play guitar and sing and especially admired Bill Monroe and Bluegrass music. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by infant sons, Ricky Lyn Rogers and Kenneth Dale Rogers, infant daughter, Vicky Diane Rogers, brothers, Leonard, Jesse, Clyde and James Rogers, sisters, Edwina Hughes, Margie Rogers, Sarah Cowley and Margaret Thomas.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rogers is survived by a son, Clay Allen Rogers and wife Glenna. Of Indiana, daughters, Opal Annette Peek of Murfreesboro, and Julie Faye Poe and husband Nathan of Tullahoma, Billy Rogers of Mulberry and Ray Rogers of Lynchburg, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
