Wiley Matlock, age 80, of Winchester, Tenn. departed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at STRHS Winchester.
Mr. Matlock was born on February 12, 1936, in Manchester, Tenn. to the late Auborn Matlock and Ruby Brown Matlock. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Matlock was retired from the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Matlock is survived by his wife of thirty years, Cora Matlock of Estill Springs, Tenn., sons; Danny Matlock and wife, Chana, Ronnie Matlock and wife, Cynthia all of Estill Springs, step-sons; Jerry Hitchcox and wife, Pat of Estill Springs, Ronald and Jack Hitchcox both of Winchester, Lamar Howard and wife, Joy of Belvidere, step-daughters; Peggy Walls and husband Ron of Estill Springs and Connie Bates of Shelbyville, grandchildren; Casey and Hailey Matlock of Estill Springs and great-granddaughter, Kaylee, brother, Bobby Matlock of Hillsboro, sister, Alberta Shelton of Florida, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, April 19, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Hillsboro with Bro. Chad Conn, officiating.
