RUBY JOYCE COBB MCCLOUD WOOSLEY, age 72, of Manchester, Tenn. departed this life and into the arms of Jesus on “His Day”, Sunday, September 9, 2012. Ms. Woosley was born in White Bluff, Tenn. on July 3, 1940 to the late Claude Cobb and Laura Krantz-Cobb-Tant. Ms. Woosley was a waitress for many years in the Nashville area working in coffee shops making little pay and working long hours doing the best she could with what little she had. She worked in business office supplies for a number of years and went on to work in a print shop for twenty-five years in the Huntsville, Ala. area. She was past owner/operator of Engravers 2 in Decherd, Tenn. for many years. She has worked for Wal-mart, MCCA and Goodwill in Tullahoma. She lived a simple life and was always willing to help those in need because she understood what it was like to be in that position.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Woosley. brothers; Bobby, Jack and Johnny Cobb and one sister, Andrea Olivia Tant. She is survived by her children; Melissa Thompson, Athens, Ala., Dena Seals, of Morristown, Tenn. sons; Eugene McCloud, Jr. also of Morristown, Tenn., Dennis McCloud of Vicksburg, Miss. brothers; Claude Cobb, Jr., of Dorr, Michigan, Joe Cobb of Wartrace, Tenn., Larry Tant of Winchester, Tenn., David Tant, Jr., of Parish, New York, sisters; Betty Naylor of Manteca, Cal., Margaret Gresham of Brooklyn, Mich., Linda King of Winchester, Tenn., Nellie Faye Hamblin of Adrian, Mich.
It was Ms. Woosley’s wishes that she be cremated and no services held.
