Edna Montez Hurd, age 73, of Winchester, went home to our Lord on Monday, July 9, 2012.
She was born on March 16, 1939 in Petrolia, TX.
Sister Hurd was a member of the Winchester Church of Christ. She was a retired insurance manager, interpreter for the deaf and decorative artist. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Vada McAlister, and brother, Milton “Bud” McAlister.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Bill Hurd, of Winchester; daughter, Regina and son Tony Harrison of Winchester; son, Nathan (Sandy) DuVal of Lima, OH; sister-in-law, Janet (Bob) McAlister-Clark of Lerna, IL; and two grandsons, Joshua Harrison of Knoxville and Timothy Harrison of Winchester.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM Monday at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave. NW, Winchester.
No flowers please.
Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens, Garden of the Cross, Cowan Highway.
