5/6/12 — George Murl Mohr

Funeral services for Mr. George Murl Mohr, age 93, of Manchester, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Bell officiating. 

Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery. 

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday at the church. 

Mr. Mohr was a member of Grace Baptist Church. 

He passed away at his residence on Friday morning.

Mr. Mohr was born in Toledo, OH, the son of the late George A. and Vesta Lehnert Mohr, both of Toledo. 

He was a Computer Systems Analyst for Unisys.  Mr. Mohr knew George Bennard, who was the author of the song, “The Old Rugged Cross”. Mr. Mohr chauffeured Bennard around Toledo in the late 1930s, when there for special engagements.  

 In addition to his parents, Mr. Mohr was also preceded in death by his wives, Eileen Mohr and Alene Mullins and one brother, Glenn Thomas Mohr. 

He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Ruth Mohr of Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Coffee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 252, Manchester, TN  37349.
