Funeral Services for Mr. Albert Prince West, age 80, of Manchester will be conducted at 12:00 PM Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Albert Watters officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Mill Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. West passed away on Thursday May 3, 2012 at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
Mr. West was born February 15, 1932 in Stevenson, Alabama. He was the son of the late Randall C. and Lona Mae Steele West.
He was a U S Army veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr. West was a hairdresser in Manchester for several years. He later became a welder at Carrier and worked there until retirement. He was an animal lover and enjoyed farming and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Randall, George and H. B. West and two sisters: Bertha Taylor and Christine Bowman.
Mr. West is survived by his wife Edna Cheney West of Manchester; two daughters, Cindy West Cook and her husband, Don of Manchester and Bridgette West Harmon and her husband, Johnny of Manchester; one sister, Shirley Ellison of Waterford, Michigan; two grandsons: Jacob Cole Fairris and his wife, Guia of Charleston, South Carolina and Caleb Garrison Fairris of Murfreesboro and one great grandchild, Gabriel Juro Fairris.
