Funeral services for Mrs. Harley Marie Britton, age 78, of Hillsboro, TN,
will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Manchester
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ross Peterson officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Britton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20 at her residence in Hillsboro.
Harley was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late William Thomas
and Octavia Evans Ferrell.
In earlier years, she worked at the shirt factory in Manchester. She enjoyed quilting, gardening,
flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Harley was also preceded in death by her
husband, Franklin D. Britton, Sr.; one brother, Hershel Buford Ferrell; and
one sister, Henrietta Cole.
She is survived by one son, Franklin D. (Jean) Britton, Jr. and one daughter, Rita (Howard)
Weddington, both of Hillsboro; one brother, Harold Ferrell; two sisters, Hazel Luke and
Helen Quinn; eight grandchildren, Kimberleah, Ethan, and Seth Guffey, Lee Weddington, Frances
Marie McClure, Selena Green, Dustin Frasier, and Nicole Free Smith; and eleven great
grandchildren, Rachelle, Jessica, and Vanessa Weddington, Justin Reed, Kaylee Murphy,
Blake Jacobs, Eathan, D.J., Bryce, and Russell Frasier; and Zoey Johns; and one great,
great grandchild, Braylen Murphy.
