10/29/16—Mark Sherwin Nix

Nix, Mark Sherwin, of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday, October
25th, at his home at the age of 46. Mr. Nix was born in Ft. Riley, Kansas
to the late James W. and Margit Birnbaum Nix who survives. During his
life Mr. Nix served his country in the United States Army, and worked as
a tool changer at JSP. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two
daughters, Alyssa and Madison Nix of Knoxville; one son, Hayden Nix also
of Knoxville; one brother, James R. Nix and his wife Marla of Tullahoma;
two sisters, Patricia Watkins and her husband Randall of Tullahoma, and
Nancy Nix of Manchester; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Nix will be held on Saturday,
October 29th from 12:00 to 3:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. For those who
wish the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the
“National Museum of the U.S. Army Fund” P.O. Box 96281, Washington D.C.
20090-6281. Mr. Nix was very proud of his and his families military
service, and the funds of this campaign will be used to build The
National Museum of the United States Army, which is currently the only
branch of the U.S. Military without its own national museum.
