The Manchester Police Department will be teaching a “Women’s Self-Defense Class” targeting Real Estate Agents in and around our community.
Due to the number of assaults in recent years that have been aimed at real estate agents, police feel like this could be a “life-saving” course to provide. Instructors will be Manchester Police Department officers who are defensive tactics instructors.
The date for this class is November 20th, at 6 p.m. The location will be at Manchester City Hall, in the upstairs board / court room. Please RSVP with Assistant Chief Adam Floied or Officer Daniel Ray as soon as possible at 931-728-2099. There is no charge for this class.
They would also like to see if there is an interest in another class for any female wanting to learn strategies and tactics to protect themselves (open class for any female, regardless of occupation). If there is enough interest they will have a class in December, date to be announced. Please call the department or contact them on Facebook to let them know if you would be interested in attending the classes.
