Teenagers Facing Burglary and Drug Charges

A Tullahoma woman and a 17-year-old were arrested Nov. 15 after they allegedly broke into a residence on South Roosevelt Street.
Tullahoma Police Officer Tommy Elliott responded to a residence at 100 Roosevelt where police had a report of a burglary in progress. A witness reported to 911 operators that there were two white males and a white female in a green Ford truck at the residence. When the officer arrived he found the truck parked in front of the residence with Brook Elaine Crosslin, 19, and the 17-year-old sitting in the truck. Crosslin told Elliott that she drove the juvenile to the residence and he went to the door and kicked it in. The police report says that the teenager retrieved a black box from the residence.
The teenager told the officer that the resident of the address had stolen $250 from him and he broke in to get his money, according to a police report. When Elliott looked in the back of the truck in the black box he found three car stereos.
While the officer was talking with the teen he, according to the police report, detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from him. The police report states that the officer found a baggie containing marijuana, 50 pills believed to be Xanax and $622 in cash. Police also allege that they found a set of digital scales and a BB pistol. The teenager was charged in juvenile petitions with aggravated burglary, two counts of possession of schedule VI and schedule IV and possession of drug paraphernalia. He will appear in Coffee County Juvenile Court on the charges.
Crosslin allegedly told the officer that she was aware that the teenager had the marijuana in his possession. And because a witnesses said that Crosslin took part in the break in, she was charged with aggravated burglary, manufacture/delivery/sell of a controlled substance, theft from a building and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Her bond was set at $24,000 and she is to appear in Coffee County General Sessions Court Dec. 10.
A third person was reportedly with Crosslin and the juvenile during the incident but he is said to have run from the area before Officer Elliott arrive. Tullahoma Police Officer Willie Young assisted Elliott in the investigation.
