A packed house attended last week’s Patriot Day Ceremony held in Manchester’s City Hall due to the threat of rain. The event was held to not only remember those fallen on September 11th of 2001, but also to recognize the brave men and women who are devoted to protecting Coffee County each and every day. 12 first responders were chosen to receive a Patriot Day Award during the ceremony to honor them for their dedication and service. Local veteran groups put on the event each year.
