There was a domestic violence related murder Valentine’s Day, 2013 in Murfreesboro. The incident happened at a home in the Blackman community. The female victim 31-year-old Carla Pearman, formally Carla Dillard of Manchester, was allegedly killed by the hands of her husband of 3 months, 28-year-old Jacob Pearman. The accused killer will face judge and jury on June, 16, 2014 in Murfreesboro.
Pearman was taken into custody in Manchester after fleeing Rutherford County in the female victims’ Jeep. Pearman was arrested at a gas station at Exit 111.
Jacob Pearman will also face charges that he assaulted the woman’s son.
Apparently the suspect called his parents and left what has been described as a troubling message. The family then called the police and authorities paid a visit to the home to do a welfare check. The victim was found deceased in her bed.
The female victim was allegedly bludgeoned to death. Police say Pearman has confessed to the murder of his wife.
