Manchester has been the home of Little League Baseball for over 50 years; however, it recently underwent a change that would not only alter its name but also the way the game is played in our community. The league is now known as the Manchester Youth Baseball League and when asked what the game changes included, League President Dale Cooper stated that “the biggest difference in the game allows the 11 and 12 year old division to lead off and steal just like a regular baseball game.” This method was tested in the fall of last year and the players loved it so much that the league is going to keep it. League President Dale Cooper also mentioned a new age division being added this year for 13-16 year old boys and girls which will begin games sometime in May of 2014.
