Lake Winnie To Get Waterpark

Dolly Parton recently decided not to build a waterpark in Nashville but one theme park will add a waterpark to their grounds. Hailed as the “Biggest announcement in 50 years” Lake Winnepesaukah near Chattanooga announced Wednesday plans to add a multi-million dollar waterpark.
The park announced the expansion as part of a larger, five-acre waterpark expansion that will include: a lazy river, a wave lagoon, flume body slides, enclosed tube slides, lily pad crossing and a splash park for toddlers!
The addition is expected to open for the summer of 2013.
The park, originally built in the late 1920’s.
