Child Murderer Moving Out Soon

Thomas "TJ" Greenwood in court Friday... By Barry West

Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves is hoping to hear this week from the Tennessee Department of Corrections on when they will have a bed available for convicted child killer Thomas “TJ” Greenwood. He was found guilty of first-degree murder week before last of the murder of 2 year old Hayden Gage West on March 9, 2010. Last week a jury sentenced him to serve a sentence of life in prison which means he will be required to serve 51 years before being eligible for parole. A hearing on the charges that Greenwood was convicted of will be held next month before Circuit Court Judge Craig Johnson. Until the state finds a bed for Greenwood he will be housed in the Coffee County Jail.
