Wanted McMinnville Man Is Caught

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation captured the latest addition to the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted fugitive list over the weekend. Gregorio Arenas, 35, was found hiding in a closet under a pile of clothes and bed sheets in an inner room of a house located on East Fairview Boulevard in Fairview. TBI, U.S. Marshals and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team gained entry to the residence after receiving information Arenas was barricaded inside and may have committed suicide or was about to attempt suicide. Update On Perkins Triple Murder Plea

Matthew Perkins of Tullahoma plead guilty of killing a mother and her two children on Monday in Coffee County court. Yesterday (July 30, 2012) Perkins plead guilty of the murders of 26-year-old Stephanie Hershman, and her sons, three-year-old Jathan and one-year-old Jaylon. According to assistant district attorney Ken Shelton, the autopsies showed the victims died of multiple blunt force trauma and knife wounds. In September 2010 the victims’ bodies were found in a bedroom closet of their Skinner Flatt Road home in Manchester. Crash Sends Three To Hospital

Around 1:30pm Monday afternoon, a woman from Illinois was traveling north on Fredonia Road in her late model Mitsubishi. She stated that she went off the side of the road where there is no shoulder and whipped it back onto the road, overcorrecting the car. She then went off the right side of the road into a bean field rolling over at least two times. Traveling with the female driver were her son, age 11, and his friend, age 9. Murder In Grundy County

Witnesses say an argument between friends turned deadly in Grundy County Sunday afternoon, leaving one man dead. The Sheriff’s Office tells us the two were arguing near a BP convenience store Sunday afternoon in Gruetli-Laager. One of the men left then returned with a gun. Investigators say the two men were arguing near the corner of Highway 108 and 60th Avenue, across from the BP store. Investigators say Kurt Brewer left the argument but came back with a gun. 5 Horse Industry Organizations In Trouble With Feds

With the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration less than a month away, federal animal regulators are moving to decertify five of the 12 horse industry organizations that are supposed to help them inspect for abuse.
