6/23/12 — Tammela Dawn Odom Bell Anderson

TAMMELA DAWN ODOM BELL ANDERSON, age 46 of Estill Springs, Tenn. departed this life unexpectedly on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at her residence. 

She was a homemaker. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed horseback riding and swimming.  She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, and sister. 

She is survived by her husband, Robbie Anderson of Estill Springs, Tenn.,  Mother, Sandra Odom, daughters; Ashley (Tim) Bowers all of Bolton, Miss., Hope Bell of Manchester, Tenn., son, Sammy Mears of Estill Springs, Tenn., sisters; Jill Pennebaker of Madison, Miss., Kelley Hickey of New Orleans, Louisiana. 

It was Mrs. Anderson’s wishes that she be cremated. 

No Services are scheduled at this time.

6/28/12 — Brenda Sue Nunley

Memorial services for Brenda Sue Nunley, age 58 of Manchester will be conducted at 3pm, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Barrett officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 1pm Thursday until service time at Manchester Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nunley passed away Saturday at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Nunley was born in Harvey Illinois the daughter of the late William Franklin Pogue and Illa Bee Harden Pogue. She was a home caregiver in the Home Health industry and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Nunley enjoyed crosswork puzzles and baby sitting for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Kay Pogue and by a brother, Bobby Lee Pogue.

6/24/12 — Nola B. Branch

Nola B. Branch, age 91 passed this life and into the hands of the Lord, on Thursday, June 21, at Tullahoma Life Care Center.

She was born November 23, 1920 in Winchester, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Cleveland Sells and Sallie Clark Sells and four brothers. Her husband, Claude Branch, also preceded her.

Mrs. Branch is survived by one son, Vernon (Linda) Branch; three grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Holt, Vernon (Brenda) Branch,Jr, Wendy (Scott) Rollins; six great grandchildren, John Limbaugh, Brad Limbaugh, Ashley Branch, Tyler Branch, Leslie Rollins and Chelsea Rollins; three great great grandchildren, Ryan Limbaugh, Kashion (Bug) Limbaugh and Mia Limbaugh; two stepgrandchildren, Tim (Rita) Barber of Smyrna and Melanie Bennett of Lawrenceburg; six step great grandchildren, Corey, Dalton and Chelsea Holt, Trace Bennett, Emily Barber and Kayla Krieger; one step great great grandchild, Tayler Krieger; and several nices and nephews.

Mrs. Branch was a strong Christian lady. She always cared deeply for all of her related children. She was also loved by all of them. Mrs. Branch worked 43 years at Genesco, several day care centers, Dairy Queen and Tennessee Apparel. Mrs. Branch was never idle and worked diligently in her home and yard. Until sickness, she always had a garden and enjoyed putting up her bounty. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Tullahoma, TN.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM Saturday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 3 PM Sunday, June 24 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. David Wall officiating. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96911, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

6/26/12 — Emma Elizabeth “Beth” Bush

Funeral services for Mrs. Beth Bush, wife of Clyde Ralph Bush, will be conducted at 10am, Tuesday, June 26 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with John Bush and Jim Terry officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gilley Hill Cemetery.

Visitation with the Bush family will be from 4pm until 9pm, Monday, June 25 at Manchester Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bush died suddenly at home on June 23, 2012, at age 70.

Mrs. Bush was born in the Buncombe community of Franklin County, the daughter of Samuel Lazarus McInturff and Mary Ruth Fisher McInturff. Her family was displaced by TVA’s Wood’s Reservoir project and later moved to Coffee County, where she met and married Clyde Ralph Bush, Sr.

She was a Christian and worshipped with the Lumley Stand Church of Christ. Before retiring Mrs. Bush worked with her husband as owners of Woodbury Cleaners. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and canning.

Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her father and her brothers Eugene, Johnny, and Larry McInturff.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother; one brother, Stanley McInturff of Mud Creek; six children, 20 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter:
Carolyn Bush Stanley and her husband, Milton, of Mud Creek, along with their sons Luke and Levi, their son Milton Jr. and his wife, Shelly, of Murfreesboro, and Milton Jr. and Shelly’s daughter, Evangeline;  Janet Bush Forde, her husband, Robert, of Tullahoma, and their children, Robert Jr., Mary Elizabeth and Katherine Forde;  Jo Anne Bush Malone, her husband, Kenneth, of Murfreesboro, and their children, Sarah, Hannah, Rachel, Nathan, and Elizabeth Malone;
Ralph Bush Jr., his wife, Tanya, of Coffee County, and their children, Alexis, Logan, and Madelynn Bush;
John Bush, his wife, Sunshine, of Coffee County, and their daughters, Savana and Serena;
Melissa Bush Neel, her husband, Gregg, of Hillsboro, and their sons, Samuel, Jacob, Caleb, and Isaac.
Mrs. Bush is also survived by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and two aunts, Inez Fisher Partin of Franklin County, and Clemmie McInturff Carden of Ten Mile.

6/25/12 —- Leon Hall

Leon Hall, age 73 of Huntland, passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas in Nashville.

He was born, raised and lived in Huntland all his life. He owned and operated Central Salvage in Huntland and was also an auctioneer. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially camping.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Brewer Hall; mother, Bessie Taylor Hall and his father, Charlie Hall; brothers, Ralph Hall and Levoid Hall.

He is survived by his daughter, Becky Hall of Winchester; sons Eddie Hall and Billy Joe Hall, both of Winchester, John (Dallas) Hall and Terry Hall, both of Huntland; sisters, Dorothy (Michael) Philpot of Winchester, Stella (Glen) Limbaugh of Belvidere, Geraldine (Bob) Philpot of Winchester; brothers, Charles (Beth) Hall of Huntland and Rayford Hall of Winchester; grandchildren, Jessica and Amanda Sisk, Madison, LuLu and Tabitha Hall; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Watson-North funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday June 25, 2012 with Bro. Lester Ashley officiating.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Huntland with friends and family serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Sunday June 24, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at Watson-North Funeral Home.

Robert McFarland age 64, of Decherd, passed away June 21, 2012 at his residence.

6/24/12 — Hoyte Finney

Hoyte Finney age 62, of Winchester, passed away June 20, 2012 at VA Hospital in Nashville.

Mr. Finney served in Vietnam. He worked at Carrier in the Morrison Plant for 20 years. Most recently was self-employed as a painter.

Mr. Finney will be remembered by his family as a loving father, grandfather and brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Sally Finney; daughter, Jenny Lynn Finney; brothers, Boyd “Bud” Finney, N. Dean Finney and sister, Lynda Bernell Meewenberg.

Mr. Finney is survived by his son, Christopher Paul Finney of Winchester; grandson, Brian Christopher Finney; brother, Hugh Rondell (Joyce) Finney of Plymouth, Michigan; former wife, Debbie Finney of Estill Springs; special friend, Pat Joyner of Camden, TN.

A memorial service will be conducted 3pm Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Rev. John Patton officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 1-3pm at Watson-North Funeral Home.

6/25/12 — John Wilson Northcut

Funeral services for Mr. John Wilson Northcut, age 90, of Manchester will be conducted Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Charles Williams officiating. 

Inurnment will be at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  

Mr. Northcut passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Manchester.

He was born February 3, 1922 in Mango, FL the son of the late Thomas Adrian Northcut and Lee Northcutt Northcut. 

In October 1942, Mr. Northcut joined the United States Marine Corp and served during WWII where he received two Good Conduct Medals as well as the Asiatic Pacific Medal.  He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sgt. in July 1946 and returned home to Mango, FL for a few years where he worked doing survey work.  He then moved to Jacksonville, FL where he, along with his sister, was part owner of a grocery store.  It was in Jacksonville that, while at church, he met his bride to be, Miss Susan Gainey.  They married in 1952, started their family and resided there until moving to Manchester in 2006 to be in closer proximity to their daughter.  Mr. Northcut was retired from the United States Postal Service where he was employed as a mail carrier for over 23 years. He also served as an Elder from 1973-1990 at Lake Forest Church of Christ in Jacksonville, FL.  He will forever be remembered as always caring for others and as a loving husband, father and friend. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Seaborne; and ten siblings, Lawson H. Northcut, Byron D. Northcut, Mary Merchant, Minnie D. Miller, Martha T. Roberts, Bessie L. Routh, James Northcut, Thomas A. Northcut, Jr., Ida W. Garner and Edna V. Wilsher.

Survivors include in loving wife of 60 years, Susan Gainey Northcut of Manchester; son and daughter-in-law, James A. Northcut and wife, Donna, of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Lee Ann Seaborne of Manchester; three grandchildren, Weston Northcut, Michael Northcut and Jonathan Seaborne.

Nellie Madina Morris age 100 of Huntsville, formerly of Franklin County, passed away June 21, 2012 at her residence in Huntsville. 

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 25, 2012 at 1pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Bro. Rudy Wilkerson officiating.

Interment will follow in Keith Springs Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband James Alex Morris.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 1pm-3pm at Watson-North Funeral Home.

Lemon B. Keith of Nashville, TN passed Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Baptist Hospital. 

She is survived by:

two sons, Vertie (Tammy) Keith of Tullahoma, TN and Julian Keith of Nashville, TN;

two sisters, Beadie Keith of Tullahoma, TN and Wanda Lou Jordan of Nashville, TN;

two brothers, Chuck Keith of Shelbyville, TN and Thomas Keith of Murfreesboro, TN. 

Two grandchildren

Visitation Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Shorter Chapel AME Church with Funeral Services to follow at 4:00p.m. at Shorter Chapel AME Church.
