12/12/12 —- Mary Alice Boaz

Mary Alice Boaz age 79, of Fayetteville passed away December 12, 2012 at her residence.

A native of Winfield, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Troy Alan Smith and Verd Howell Smith.

Mrs. Boaz is survived by her sons, Maxey Gene Garner of Gallitan, Tn,  Richard Brent Garner  of Trion, Ga. And Troy Allen Boaz of Fayetteville and daughter, Susan Warren of Fayetteville. Mrs. Boaz was blessed with many  grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a very close  dear friend George Evans of Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Garner; sister, Jo Jo Stowe; brother, Eugene Smith, husbands; Charles Allen Boaz and Gordon Max Garner.

It was Mrs. Boaz wishes to be cremated and no services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Jones, age 65, of Manchester will be conducted Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Marvin Davenport and Bro. Ronald Sharp officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Mill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 5 PM – 9 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was born January 16, 1947 in McMinnville, TN, the daughter of the late William Vernon and Margaret Miller Yeager. Mrs. Jones retired from Batesville Casket.

She was a member of Forest Mill Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Lane Jones of Manchester; one son, Greg Jones and his wife, Amy of Manchester; one daughter, Angela Coleman and her husband, William of Franklin; one brother, William Yaeger and his wife, Tonya of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Andrew and Jonathan Coleman, Brycen Davis, and Bailey, Madison and Morgan Jones and many other loving friends and family.

12/15/12 — Cornelia Mae Rooker

Cornelia Mae Rooker, age 92, of Murfreesboro died Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She was a native of Coffee County and the daughter of the late Joshua Bell and Lula Pearl McCullough Fletcher.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Rooker and daughter, Marilyn Kaye Rooker and stepson, Oley Eldon Rooker, brothers, J.B. Fletcher, Jr. and Johnson Fletcher.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday at Franklin Road Baptist Church. Dr. Mike Norris will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Whitesell, sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Kelso Simmons of Manchester, granddaughter, Courtney Davis of Manchester, and great grandchildren, McKenzie, Josie, and Samuel Watson.

Mrs. Rooker was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and a Supervisor at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center until her retirement.

Memorials may be made to Franklin Road Baptist Church in her memory.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Friday at Franklin Road Baptist Church.

12/15/12 — Bradford Phillip “Brad” Walden

Funeral services for Bradford Phillip “Brad” Walden, age 25, of Tullahoma will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother William Pritchett officiating.

Burial will follow at Ragsdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Brad passed away Wednesday morning at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

He was born August 13, 1987 in Coffee County, TN the son of Edgar Levoyd Walden and Tracie Topinka Walden Davis.  He graduated from Coffee County Central High School in 2005 and then attended and graduated from The Police Academy in Cleveland, TN in 2006.  Brad enjoyed target practice with his guns as well as collecting knives.  He also enjoyed watching T.V. and spending time with his many friends.  He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Tullahoma.

Brad is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Phillip and Pearl Walden; his maternal grandfather, Bob Topinka and his step-grandmother, Ellen Davis.

Survivors include his father, Edgar Walden and wife, Eve of Manchester; mother, Tracie Davis and husband, Thomas of Tullahoma; sister, Michelle Davis of Tullahoma; step-sister, Michelle DeVries of Michigan City, IN; maternal grandmother, Charlynn McCullough and special friend, Homer Davila of Hillsboro; and step-grandfather, Tommy Davis of Manchester; a special friend, Kourtney Marie Bryant of Bluffton, IN and numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.

12/15/12 — Mary Bertram Motlow

Mary Bertram Motlow, age 62 of Lynchburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

She was born April 29, 1950 in Nashville; the daughter of the late Cliff Conner and Roselind Handley (Slater) Motlow.

Mary Motlow was Vice-President and Chief Operations Officer for Cumberland Spring Land Co. Inc., a family owned forest and agricultural company engaged in sustainable forestry practices and agri-business and wildlife management. She was a member of the Alabama Forestry Association, a legislative committee member of the Tennessee Forestry Association, Forest Landowners Association, National Wild Turkey Federation and Quality Deer Management Association. She also served as past Secretary/Treasurer of Sustainable Forestry Initiative Board of the (FFI Inc.), an international forest certification program, and was vice-president of the Franklin County Forestry Association and a member of the Elk Valley Forestry Association and the American Forest Landowners’ Association. She was a state certified tree farmer and master logger and was also involved in real estate in Franklin and Grundy counties. She lived on her farm in Lynchburg.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lemuel Oscar and Ophelia (Evans) Motlow, maternal grandparents, Ed Bertram and Addie (Bowen) Slater, as well as her partner, Morris Edward Parker. Mr. Parker’s visitation will be 4-9 PM Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Woodbury Funeral Home.

She was a loving mother to her surviving daughters, Margaret Walker Armour and Mary Alexandra Motlow Richman, both of Lynchburg, TN; and sisters, Catherine Powell, Elizabeth Motlow and Melinda Killcreas.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 181 Majors Blvd., Lynchburg, Tennessee.

12/14/12 —- Willovyne Limbaugh

Willovyne Limbaugh, of Lynchburg, passed this life on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012, at Harton Regional Medical Center, at the age of 80.

Mrs. Limbaugh was born in Franklin County, TN to the late Vaughn and Lucille Sanders Silvertooth.

During her life she worked at Tullahoma Utilities Board and Sears.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Morris Silvertooth.

Mrs. Limbaugh is survived by her husband Brown Limbaugh of Lynchburg; one daughter, Lisa Baker of Lynchburg; two sons, Ronald Sanders of Lynchburg, David Limbaugh and wife Angie of Winchester; nine grandchildren, Kelly Baker, Ashley Spain, James Limbaugh, Lexie Limbaugh, Regina McGriff, Denise Gravely, Destiny Sanders, Dallas Hice and Dusty Ashley; and six great-grandchildren, Easton, Ellie, Kaden, Elijah, Macey, and Kylie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13th, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 14th, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Hice officiating.

12/15/12 — Donna Jean Watkins

Donna Jean Watkins, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 65.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Tullahoma, TN to the late Fred and Jeannie Mullins.

She worked as a hairdresser for many years at Donnas’ House of Beauty and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Watkins and one brother, Charles E. Mullins.

Mrs. Watkins is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Brewer of Tullahoma; one son, Jerame Watkins of Tiptonville, TN; one daughter-in-law, Christina Parson of Morrison; one sister, Mary Jane Smith of Tullahoma; and three grandchildren, Jaelyn Brewer, Jadin Watkins, and Mya Hodges and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14th, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at 10:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Wester officiating.

 Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Tullahoma.

12/15/12 — JOYCE IMOGENE ROBERTS MASTER

JOYCE IMOGENE ROBERTS MASTER, age 65, of Estill Springs, departed this life at her residence on Monday, December 10, 2012.

Ms. Master was born in Huntland, Tenn.,  she was a member of the Free Spirit Independent Baptist Church.  She loved to play Rook and enjoyed dancing, gardening, and spending time with her dog Roxie.

Mrs. Master was preceded in death by her son Forrest Kelley.

She is survived by two daughters; Kasandra (Bruce) Summers of Estill Springs, and Renea (Tracy) Davis of Tullahoma, one  son; Johnny (Tena) Kelley of Estill Springs, one brother; Larry “Duke” Roberts of Huntland, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Ms. Master will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. Friday evening, December 14, 2012 at Free Spirit Independent Baptist Church in Estill Springs.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Church with Brother Dan Syler officiating.

Interment will follow in the New Center Grove Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Free Spirit Independent Baptist Church.

12/15/12 — Timothy Austin Caldwell

Timothy Austin Caldwell, of Shelbyville, passed this life on Sunday, December 9th, 2012, at Heritage Medical Center at the age of 33.

During his life he worked construction for Caldwell’s Siding.

Mr. Caldwell is survived by his father, Randy Caldwell and wife Jennifer of Shelbyville; his mother, Jaynell Caldwell of Fort Pierce, FL; two brothers, Nathan Daniel Reed and Jerry Lee Reed; one sister, Krystle Marie Houlette and four children; Austin Baker, T-Layne Baker, Cruz Caldwell, and Trey Caldwell.

Visitation for Mr. Caldwell will be held Saturday, December 15th, 2012 from 12:00-1:00pm at the Kilgore Funeral Home with graveside services at 3:00pm at Melson Cemetery located in Lincoln County.

12/14/12 — John Darron Thomas

Funeral services for Mr. John Darron Thomas, age 46, of Wartrace, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Henry officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 13 at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas passed away Tuesday morning at his residence.

John was born in Lincoln Co, TN, the son of Horace Claude Thomas and the late Sara Ann Jean Thomas. He graduated from Cascade High School and attended MTSU. He was a self employed farmer and an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with his children and his family. He attended Fairfield Church of Christ.

In addition to his father, Mr. Thomas is survived by one son, Caden Thomas of Shelbyville; one daughter, Chloe Thomas of Shelbyville; one brother, Claude Dean (Beth) Thomas of Wartrace; two nephews, Drew and Jake Thomas; and one niece, Sarah Beth Thomas; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Cascade High School library or football program.
