Mr. Gary Lynn Hall, age 62, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma after a short illness.

He was born in Monterrey, TN and a lifelong resident of Tullahoma.

He was the son of the late Luther Clarence Hall and Mrs. Ferby Hall of Tullahoma who survives.

Mr. Hall was an independent business man who operated many businesses in Tullahoma including the Drewskies Chain of Convenience markets and was currently the owner operator of H and H Health Food Store in the Mall in Tullahoma.
He was a long time and generous member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sharon Cory Hall, a daughter, Ashleigh Lynn Hall and son Drew Preston Hall (Brittany Shelton), all of Tullahoma. Also survived by Brothers Glenn Hall (Linda) and Tim Hall (Teri) and a sister Dianna Darden (Don) all of Tullahoma and five nieces, five nephews, two grand nephews, and two grandnieces.

Mr. Hall was a kind person who gave generously and, sometimes anonymously, to many people and organizations throughout his life. He supported project graduation at Tullahoma High School, the band, the baseball team, and the football team by driving the equipment trailer to away games for many years. He sponsored little league teams, girls softball, and held car washes for Horseplay. His gifts were always given with a warm and giving heart. He will be missed sorely by his family and the community.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

A memorial services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 beginning at 11:00 with visitation starting at 10:00 at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Wall officiating.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to a memorial fund at the funeral home.

Ms. Willadean Bicknell Beaty, age 85, of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, TN.

A native of Clarkrange, TN, she was the daughter of the late Will and Lily Cook Bicknell.

Ms. Beaty was a retired accountant for Beaty Trucking and Beaty Farms, Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star, and a published author of two books of Spiritual Poetry titling Purple Cinnamon and A Miracle Says Hello. Ms. Beaty was active in assisting thousands of women to recover from alcoholism and had a deep affection for her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Manchester and enjoyed fishing and writing poetry.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by ten siblings.

She is survived by her spouse, John Lenahan, three children William Frank Beaty, James Henry (Carolyn) Beaty of Manchester, Katherine Dean (Terry) Whitwell of Colombia, TN, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a former husband Frank Beaty.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, from 6PM until 9PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will begin at 10:00AM, Tuesday,  in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Dell Person, age 80, of Manchester will be conducted Monday, January 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Manchester with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating.

Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Person passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Villages of Lake Highlands, in Dallas, TX.

She was born August 6, 1932 in Yoakum, Texas the daughter of the late Eugene Herman Rice and Dora Laurette Owen Rice.  She was the fifth child of seven children raised in a strong christian home.

After graduation from Yoakum High School, Virginia (Ginny) went on to beauty school and learned skills that she practiced on family and friends wherever and whenever needed.  After marrying, she raised five children. Ginny was  always young at heart, and quite naturally set an example of a work ethic that few could match.   Her main focus, in addition to her family was service in the church and she worked diligently with children, teenagers, in the choir and pulpit committees and as director of various groups. Her laughter and joy was infectious to all around her and the zest she had for new skills such as quilting, knitting or wallpapering was amazing.  Family and friends just tried to keep up!! She had a unique heart to serve.  Regularly bringing people into her home to get back on their feet while also having  a capacity to go where needed, comfort the hurting, rescue the lost and listen to broken hearts was beyond measure.  Ginny just wanted to know how she could help.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hans Anton Person,  great grandchild William Reavis and two nieces, Gena Turner and Deborah Batson.

Survivors include five children, Breta Gaylene Alexander and husband, Steve of Oak View, CA; Bridget Lynette Person of Manchester, TN; Doretta Joy Little and husband, Ted of Show Low, AZ; Karen Luann Person of Dallas, TX; son, Roderick Hans Person and wife, Suzanne of Argyle, TX; twelve grandchildren; Russell Alexander, Candice Alexander, John Alexander, Paul Reavis, Jennifer Hooie, Lucas Little, Laura Loutzenheiser, Justin Little, Jacob Davis, Derek Davis, Jordan Person and Elijah Person; and nine great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are three brothers, Meeks “Mickey” Owen Rice of Yoakum, TX; William Eugene Rice, Tomball, TX; John Rustin Rice of Desoto, TX; and three sisters, Marion Jean Davis of Yoakum, TX; Frances Rae Liljequist of Harrison, AR; and Helen Joyce Turner of Lindale, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hester Lenora Davis, age 80, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Delbert Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Jernigan Hill Cemetery in Beech Grove.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis passed away Thursday afternoon at Manchester Healthcare.

Mrs. Davis was born in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Burt Dallas and Dessie Mae Moore Ferrell.

She was a dispatcher at Batesville Casket Company and also worked in real estate. She enjoyed gardening, and playing many musical instruments. She was a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Vicki Michelle Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Talmadge L. “Ted” Davis of Manchester; one son, Jim (Kim) Davis of Manchester; two sisters, Mary Lou Turrentine of Manchester and Dee (John) Mann of Rockwood, TN; one brother, Burt (Gerri) Ferrell of Hillsboro, OH; three grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Davis of Temple, TX, Lee (Ashley) Davis of Smyrna, TN, and Lindsey Anderson of Lynchburg, TN; nieces and nephews, Sherry (Eric) Hires of Orlando, FL, Richard (Tammi) Mann of Clemmons, NC, and Jacque (Kyle) Hauth of Soddy Daisy, TN; and grand-nieces and nephews, Amy, Lori, Kristi, Christina, and Kevin.

Mr. Douglas DeVaughn Harmon, age 68, of  Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at United Regional Medical  Center in Manchester. 

Visitation  with the family will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2013 at  Manchester Funeral Home Chapel. 

No  other services are planned at this time.

Memorial services for Steven Edward “Steve” Stines, age 57 of Morrison will be conducted Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Mr. Scott Whaley officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM on Saturday.

Mr. Stines passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

He was born February 11, 1955 in Winchester, Tennessee the son of the late Edward Ray Stines and Nadine Knott Stines.

Steve attended Franklin County High School. He was a licensed contractor who owned and operated his own business, Stines Home Maintenance and Contruction. Steve was crafted in working with his hands in woodworking. He enjoyed many hobbies in the outdoors including deer hunting, flower gardening and his prized strawberry garden. He loved his dogs dearly but his primary passion was to watch NASCAR racing on television especially if it included one of the sports most beloved drivers, Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Steve loved his family dearly and will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a half sister, Linda Commons.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lea Stines of Morrison; son, Lance R. Cunningham also of Morrison; a sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne Barry and husband, Michael of Sewanee, TN; and a half brother, Jimmy Ray Stines of Winchester, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Vera Josephine Hibberd, age 84, of Manchester will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Hamm and Bro. Verlon Wilder officiating.

Burial will follow in Summitville Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ms. Hibberd passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.

Ms. Hibberd was born on February 28, 1928 in Fountain Grove, TN, the daughter of the late Walter H. and Mae McMahan Baltimore.

She was a homemaker, whose hobbies consisted of gardening, canning, and listening to gospel music. Most of all, Ms. Hibberd loved caring for the elderly and sitting with the sick. She attended the Summitville Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Hibberd was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jonie McCormick and second husband, Jim Hibberd; one son, Emmitt McCormick; two daughters, Tammy Weddington and Asalyne (Dean) McCormick; two brothers, Junior and Howard Baltimore; and three sisters, Irene Riddle, Jo Ann Caldwell, and Lucille Vaughn.

She is survived by one daughter, Anna Stevens of Manchester; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Juanita Nappers of Elkhart, IN and Willa Mae Hinkle of Anita Springs, FL.

A private family memorial service will be scheduled at a later time for Mr. Paul N. Grannemann, age 79 of Beechgrove, TN. 

Mr. Grannemann passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

Mr. Grannemann was born November 1, 1933 in San Francisco, CA, the son of the late Nicholaus and Viola Berg Grannemann. 

He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran.  He had many occupations during his life, including farming and furniture making.  He enjoyed hunting, reading and sitting on his front porch rocking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Grannemann.

Mr. Grannemann is survived by his wife, Betty Houston Grannemann of Beechgrove; two sons, George Grannemann and his wife, Vicki of Baxter, TN. and Mike Grannemann and his wife, Debbie of Palm City, FL.; two daughters, Paula Sue DeVos and her husband, Karl of Port St. Lucie, FL. And Martha Foraker and her husband, Mark of Cox Creek, KY; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
