4/6/14 —- James Richard (Ricky) Anderson

flower2James Richard (Ricky) Anderson age 34 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away April 1, 2014 in a truck accident in Wythe County, Virginia.

He was born February 12, 1980.

He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Leslie Anderson; his mother, Pamela Meeks Anderson; his sister, Sandy Rose Anderson.

Survivors include his brother Ramey Anderson of Tracy City, TN; sister Katie Anderson of Dyersburg, TN; grandmother Eda Anderson Morrison of Tracy City, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2014 in the chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home. Reverend Clayton Jones will officiate.

Burial will be in Warren Cemetery in Pelham, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

4/5/14 —- Minnie Lee Lockhart

flower3Mrs. Minnie Lee Lockhart age 99 of Monteagle passed away Wednesday with her family by her side.

She was born in Coalmont a daughter of the late Joe Nunley and Lydia Woodlee Nunley and was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lockhart; brother, Elihu Nunley; sister, Josephine Jones; sons, Roy Kenneth and Billy Joe Lockhart; daughter-in-law, Virginia Lockhart.

Survivors include her children, Dorothy (James W.) MaGouirk, Edwene Lockhart, Juanita (Jim) Haynes, Ruby (Ernie) Walker, Wanda (Terry) Turner and Marie (Jimmy) Hinson; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild. Special acknowledgment to Webster Nunley, a lifelong and cherished friend.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mike Rigsby and Claude Hoback officiating.

Burial will be in Bonny Oak Cemetery.

4/4/14 —– John “John Boy” Bingham

flower4Mr. John “John Boy” Bingham age 41, of Tullahoma, TN passed away Sunday, March 30, at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 4 at 2 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel .

Burial will follow at Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 3 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home.

A native of Bedford County, he was the son of the late John Bingham and Mary Alice Brown Bingham of Tullahoma.

flower 7“John Boy” enjoyed buying and selling at local flea markets. He also enjoyed fishing and music, most of all he loved his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived two sons, Chad Bingham of Shelbyville, Mitchel Brothers also of Shelbyville, one brother, Steve Bingham and his wife Kim of Shelbyville, one sister, Marsha Underwood and her husband John of Shelbyville.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the memorial fund at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

4/1/14 — Danilo D. Anderson

flower5Mr. Danilo D. Anderson, age 60 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Thomas West in Nashville.

No services are scheduled at this time.

A native of the Philippines, he was the son of the late William and Ampiro Dedacatoria Anderson.

flower 2 He had worked for the City of Tullahoma Street Department. He enjoyed fishing and listening to the radio. In addition he enjoyed watching the “Price is Right” and old western movies.

He is survived by two daughters, Christina Hagan and her husband, Michael of Mt. Juliet and Danita Powell and her husband, Christopher of Shelbyville and two granddaughters, Kylie Hagan and Jaicie Powell.

4/3/14 —- Mable Lucille Robertson

flower6Mable Lucille Robertson, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, March 30th, 2014 at her residence at the age of 71.

Mrs. Robertson was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Willard and Millie Wilcox Rogers.

She worked at Harton Regional Medical Center for 25 years as a ward clerk before retiring and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Manchester and Tullahoma. Her three children were always the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robertson is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Robertson.

She is survived by two sons, Doyle W. Robertson of Tullahoma and Shaun Robertson of Columbus, GA; one daughter, Amy S. McHenry and her husband Corams of Paola, KS; two grandchildren, Katie Grace McHenry and Caleb Sean McHenry; one brother, David Rogers of Tullahoma; one sister, Christine Brown of Missouri; step-mother, Clara Rogers; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for Mrs. Robertson will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm with the funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

4/3/14 — Sue Stacy

flower7Sue Stacy, age 80, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

She was born on September 6, 1933 in Manchester, Tennessee to Henry and Ella (Hobbs) Carr. On November 27, 1953, in Rossville, Georgia, she married Grady Stacy.

She is survived by her husband, daughter, Vicki (Doug) Schenher, one granddaughter, Cammi (Josh) Rose and two great grandchildren, Will and Dylan. Also surviving is one sister and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

She was employed at Martins Super Market for 28 years as a cashier. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, shopping, hockey, and NASCAR. Sue loved people, but most of all, she loved her family.

Visitation for Sue will be one hour prior to the 1:00 PM service at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Thursday, April 3, 2014.

Burial will immediately follow in New Summitville Cemetery.

4/4/14 —- Kathryn Elizabeth Grosch

flower8Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Elizabeth Grosch, age 75 of Bradyville, will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, April 4 from the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation with the Grosch family will be from 5 pm until 9 pm, Thursday, April 3 at Manchester Funeral Home.

Mrs. Grosch passed away Monday morning at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Grosch was born in Manchester, Tennessee the daughter of the late Arthur and Era Mae Vaughn Poff. She was the former owner of the Coffee Pot Café and enjoyed watching TV, fishing and visiting friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grosch was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank P. Grosch.

flower9Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Elaine Bruce, age 68 of Manchester will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 2 from the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Welker Cemetery.

Visitation with the Bruce family will be from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday April 1 at Manchester Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bruce passed away Sunday, March 30 at her home in Manchester surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Bruce was born in Manchester, Tennessee the daughter of the late Harley and Orphia Naoma Cooper Freeze. She was a member of the New Union Church of Christ and was formerly a seamstress and then a bookkeeper at Garner’s Furniture in Manchester. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Eugene Bruce and by a brother, Eugene Freeze, by a sister in law, Helen Freeze and by a brother in law, Allen Vaughn “Buddy” Bruce.

Mrs. Bruce is survived by:

flower11Gladys V. Griffith, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, March 27th, 2014 at The Bridge at Monteagle Nursing Home at the age of 98.

Mrs. Griffith was born in Perdue Hill, Alabama to the late George and Gladys Calhoun Vaught Sr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmore Jackson “Jack” Griffith; and five brothers, George R. Vaught Jr., Joseph C. Vaught, Walter Eugene Vaught, Ralph Vaught and F. Warren Vaught.

Mrs. Griffith is survived by one daughter, Elmo Birkhead of Tullahoma.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4th, 2014 from 4:00-6:30 pm at First United Methodist Church in Tullahoma with a memorial service to immediately follow at 6:30 pm with Rev. Paul Purdue and Rev. Mark Ashley officiating.
