4/3/14 —- Michael Alan Martin

flower10Michael Alan Martin, age 28, passed away on April 3, 2014 at his home in Manchester, Tennessee surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Martin is survived by his father, Alan Martin of Willow Springs, IL; mother, Christina Miles (Terry) of Manchester, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.

4/9/14 —– Lynda Ingleburger Winkles

flag1Lynda Ingleburger Winkles of Manchester, passed this life on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 at her home at the age of 69.

Mrs. Winkles was born in Estill Springs, Tennessee to the late Benjamin Franklin Ingleburger Sr. and Lucille Phillips Ingleburger.

She was a member of Hickerson Station Church of Christ for 50 plus years and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, both state and local, where she held numerous leadership positions throughout her membership. Mrs. Winkles was a former state and 5th District President of the Auxiliary and was the current Unit 78 Gold Star with the Auxiliary as well as the current state Chaplin. She was a member and current Treasurer of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and was a frequent volunteer with Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro where she was the VA representative. Mrs. Winkles was instrumental in starting and also sat on the board of The Fisher House program in Murfreesboro which is a unique private-public partnership that supports America’s military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Winkles is preceded in death by her husband. Ronald Winkles who passed away in 2001; and one brother, Benjamin Franklin Ingleburger Jr.

She is survived by one daughter, Beth Huskey of Franklin, TN; one niece, Andi Woodfin and her husband David of Manchester; three nephews, Benji Ingleburger of Manchester, Chad Ingleburger of Estill Springs, and Bubba Ingleburger and his wife Dana of Winchester; one grandson, Garrett Sears of West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother, Phil Ingleburger and his wife Kay of Estill Springs; and six great nieces and nephews, Caitlin Woodfin of Chattanooga, Jonathan Woodfin of Manchester, and Anna, Kyle, Nicole, and Amber Ingleburger.

Visitation for Mrs. Winkles will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Ray officiating.

Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.

4/4/14 —- Terry Wayne Gibson

Mr. Terry Wayne Gibson, age 52 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at his residence.flower7

A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.

A native of the Winchester, he was the son of the late George Franklin and Mary Ann Sons Gibson.

He is survived two sons, Keith Dewayne Gibson of Texas and Christopher Gibson of Manchester; one brother, Troy Dale Gibson of Manchester; four sisters, Teresa Ann Mitchell of Flintville, Rose Marie Jones of Flintville, Mary Mae Fabela of Petersburg and Deborah Wright of Manchester; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations may be made to the memorial fund at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

7/8/14 —— Elton Lavon Huffman

Elton Lavon Huffman age 62 of Winchester passed away Saturday April 5, 2014 at his residence.

A native of Franklin County he was a son of the late Elton “EC” Huffman and Lula Mae Chapman Huffman.

He was an Appliance Technician retired from Sears and was recently employed at Home Depot and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Huffman enjoyed hunting and fishing “off roading” an avid motorcycle rider and farmer.

He is survived by his sons; Don Huffman and his wife Nicki of Lynchburg and Derrick Huffman of Tullahoma, daughter; Angela Moore and her husband Jeffery of Belvidere. Grandchildren, Shana Boswell and her husband Ryan of Winchester, Camille Moore of Belvidere, Allison Huffman of Winchester, Jeb Huffman of Winchester, Jenipher Dobbs, Jonathan Dobbs, Jachlyne Dobbs and Jinger Dobbs all of Lynchburg.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Stein Huffman.

The family will receive friends Monday April 7, 2014 from 5 – 8 PM at the Lynchburg Funeral Home with services on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 12 Noon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lynchburg Relay For Life.

4/7/14 —- Veronica Ann Searcy

Flower 6Ms. Veronica Ann Searcy, 51 of Manchester passed way, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Monday, April 7, 2014 at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel in Newport, Arkansas, with Rev. Carol Nash officiating.

Burial will follow at Swifton Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, prior to the service.

She was born March 10, 1963 in Tularosa, NM, the daughter of Talmadge Searcy and Christine Searcy Roberts.

Veronica graduated for St. Mary’s Academy in Navoo, IL in 1981. She then attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Architectural Engineering. Following graduation, she worked in drafting for the Army Corps of Engineers. Veronica was a wonderful painter and artist, and had a special love for animals. She had the uncanny ability to communicate with the animals she rescued. She had a strong Christian faith.

Veronica was preceded in death by her father, Talmadge Searcy.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Christine and Jim Roberts, her companion of over 20 years, Arthur “Bill” Leabo of Manchester; her sister, Angela Christine Williams and her husband David of Olathe, Kansas; one step-brother, Michael James Roberts and his wife, Marilyn of Vancouver, Washington; nephews, Justin Searcy Williams and his wife, Amy of Olathe, Kansas and Alexander Roberts; nieces, Brittany Reinke and her husband, Keven of Overland Park, Kansas and Genevieve Roberts; great nieces, Micah, Shelby and Brenna Williams; maternal aunt, Lucille Tims of Manchester; paternal aunts, Elwanda Searcy Templeton of Newport, Arkansas and Linda Searcy Rorex and her husband Jim of Swifton, Arkansas ; cousins, Steven, Mike and Ronnie Templeton, Tammy, Sue Foster, Bo Rorex and Michelle Crouch.

4/11/14 —— Dr. Kenneth Edwin Harwell

flower3Dr. Kenneth Edwin Harwell, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, April 4th, 2014 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville at the of 77.

Dr. Harwell was born in Kellyton, Alabama to the late Etta Sasser Jenkins.

During his life, Dr. Harwell worked as an Aeronautical Engineer with the Department of Defense and was a former dean at the University of Tennessee Space Institute. He was also a charter member of Kings Cross Church in Tullahoma.

Dr. Harwell is survived by his wife, Sharon Harwell of Tullahoma; one son, Kenneth Hilton Harwell of Dacula, GA; two daughters, Kathryn McLeroy and her husband Todd of Cullman, AL and Karen Harwell of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Clara Sides of Wetumpka, AL; one brother, Frank Jenkins of Wetumpka, AL; and three grandchildren, Meghan, Molly, and Myles McLeroy.

Visitation for Dr. Harwell will be on Thursday, April 10th, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

4/7/14 —- Jaimie Haywood Dornon

Jaimie Haywood Dornon passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 4th, 2014 in Nashville, TN.

Jaimie was born on July 29th, 1987 in Tullahoma to Troy and Wendy Straight Haywood.

She graduated from Tullahoma High School in 2005 and then went on to graduate from Chattanooga State and became a Licensed Court Reporter with Barton Court Reporting. Her most important job however, was that of a devoted daughter, loving wife, and dedicated mother. Jaimie’s family was her everything, and she filled their lives with a happiness and a joy that cannot be measured. She was creative, and extremely talented in all of her lifes endeavers. She lived each and every day to the absolute fullest and was a true witness and example of Christian womanhood to all were blessed to know her.

She was an active and involved member of Grace Baptist Church of Tullahoma where she and her family gained countless friends.

In addition to her parents, Jaimie is survived by her husband, Chris Dornon of Tullahoma; one daughter, Kiley Dornon; one son, Weston Dornon; twin brother Jacob Haywood and his wife Sara of Whitehouse, TN, and younger brother, Jesse Haywood of Tullahoma; parents-in-law; Harold Dornon and his wife Jackie of Tullahoma, and Sheri Bunker and her husband Kerry of Lebanon; and her grandmothers, Dorothy Straight of Columbia, and Sandra Haywood of Columbia.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her two grandfathers; Edward Straight, and Bobby Joe Haywood.

Visitation for Jaimie will be held on Sunday, April 6th from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kilgore Funeral Home, with funeral services taking place Monday, April 7th, at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church of Tullahoma with Rev. Tim McGehee officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

4/6/14 —– Henry J. “Buck” Dyer, Jr.

Mr. Henry J. “Buck” Dyer, Jr. age 77 of Winchester and formerly of Monteagle, went to his Heavenly Home Friday morning with his family by his bed side.

Buck was born in Monteagle, on the Marion County Side of the railroad tracks, May 13, 1936, a son of the late Henry Dyer and Lillian Johnson Dyer, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.C., Raymond Dyer and two infant brothers; sister, Martha Johnson.

Mr. Dyer was a retired truck driver and coalminer and was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon; he loved to share his testimony with everyone he met.

Survivors inclued his wife, Barbara A Dyer; daughters, Deborah Dyer, McMinnville, Linda Dyer, Winchester and Anita (Doyle) Searcy, Tullahoma; sister, Elizabeth Hill, Keith Springs Mountain; grandchildren, Christy, Travis, Kellie, Corey and Tiffany, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ray Gardner officiating.

Burial will be in Summerfield Cemetery with the Deacons of Oaklawn Baptist Church serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.

4/4/14 —- Levoy Shook White, Jr.

Mr. Levoy Shook White, Jr., age 68 of Beechgrove, Tennessee, passed from this life, on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Harton Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levoy S. White, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Brown White, one brother, William E. White, and one sister, Jacqueline H. Alston.

Levoy is survived by his loving wife, Lana R. White of Beechgrove, Tennessee, one step-daughter, Ashley Booker, also of Beechgrove, one step-son, Eric Wilson and wife, Crystal, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, one sister, Jessica Griffith, and six grandchildren, Amy, Hailey, Mason, Molly, Maggie, and Melody.

Mr. White was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was a faithful employee of the Music City Cab Company for thirty years.

Private memorial services will be held with the family at a later date.

Funeral services for Mr. Luke Brown Smith, Sr., age 69 of Summitville will be conducted at 11 am, Monday, April 7 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Earl Carnes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Forest Mill Cemetery.

Visitation with the Smith family will be from 5 pm until 9 pm, Sunday at Manchester Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith passed this life Thursday, April 3 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

Mr. Smith was born in Summitville, Tennessee the son of the late James Lushin Smith and Callie Brooks Smith.

He was a foreman with Hillis Trucking Company, and later was a truck driver for Hasty Trucking. Mr. Smith was a member of the Rescue Squad and the Summitville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Boynton Valley Baptist Church in Manchester.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Willie, James and Franklin Smith, and by a sister, Nora Gilreath.
