5/11/14 —- Keith King

Mr. Keith King, age 91, of Tullahoma passed away Tuesday at Harton Regional Medical Center. 

He was born in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Sam and Phronia Kelly King.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, June King and a sister, Anne Sargent. 

Mr. King attend Spring Creek Baptist Church, was a WWII Army veteran and was retired from A.E.D. C. where he was a boilermaker. 

 He is survived by a daughter, Pat (Terry) Petty of Tullahoma, a son, Don (Mary Ann) King of Athens, GA, four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

 Services for Mr. King will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Payne officiating. 

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

5/7/14 —- Sung Eyul Kim

Sung Eyul Kim, age 89, of Nashville, passed from this life Monday,  flower11May 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1925.

She leaves behind two sons, John Jeongsik (Susie Myungwha) Yoon and Jaesik (Inshun Kim) Yun. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Dongin Tony (Sonkyong Kim) Yun, Sehee (Will) Sohn, Jeana (Matthew) Dozier, Jooin Yun, and Michael Dongmin Yoon, and also five great-grandchildren: Amber Haelan Yun, Summer Haegio Yun, Skylar Haeju Yun, Jacob Hyunwoo Dozier and Julia Kate Hyuna Dozier.

An in-home service will be held for family at the residence of John and Susie Yoon, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM. The residence address is 382 Yoon Lane, Manchester, TN 37355.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, 786 McMinnville Hwy, Manchester, TN 37355.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services at the funeral chapel.

5/7/14 —- Lavena Faye Weaver Peavyhouse

Lavena Faye Weaver Peavyhouse, age 56 of Estill Springs, Tennessee, passed away into rest on May 3, 2014 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

She was a Dental Hygienist with Estill Springs Family Dentistry; a member of the American Dental Association; a member of the Dental Hygiene Association and a member of the New Brick Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Finney Weaver; sister, Loretta Kay Weaver and brother, Jeffrey Clay Weaver.

She is survived by her loving husband, Col. Martin George Peavyhouse- USAF Ret. of Estill Springs, TN;  daughter, Rebecca M. Burgraff and her husband Joe of Estill Springs, TN; son, Anthony M. Peavyhouse of Estill Springs, TN; father, James C. Weaver and his wife Susie of Estill Springs, TN; six grandchildren, Jacob Micciche, Emily Micciche, Isabella Peavyhouse, Brayden Alford, Joe Burgraff, Jr. and Micah Burgraff; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.  –  8:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Finney and Brother Bill Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Donations be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Ronald McDonald House.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Gayle Bush, age 59, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Partin, Jr. and Bro. Leon Messick officiating.

Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. 

Visitation with the Bush family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday at the funflower 12eral home. 

Mrs. Bush passed away Sunday morning at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

 

Mrs. Bush was born in Winchester, TN, the daughter of the late Willard and
Ivy Daniel Morris. 

She was employed in retail sales at KK’s Pawn Shop for 17 years and was a member of The Begin Life in the Church of Jesus Christ.

 
In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Danica Gayle. 

She is survived by her loving husband, James Allen Bush of Manchester; two daughters, Holly Bush and Tiffany and
son-in-law Clay Lester, both of Manchester; one brother, Larry Morris of Estill Springs; three sisters, Jodie Doubek of Lutz, FL, Susan White of Charlotte, NC, and Sharon Treadaway of Adele, GA; and four grandchildren, Curtis Cargile, Kyle Cargile, Shelby Lester, and Sarah Lester.

Mrs. Darla Gay Travis Ingrum, age 48 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed from this life on Saturday, May 3, 2014. 

Darla was preceded in death by her father Clifford L. Travis.

 
She is survived by her loving husband Keith Ingrum of Manchester, Tennessee, mother, Frances Eaton Travis of Manchester, Tennessee, one daughter, Lacy Mae Maxwell, one brother, Barry Dean Travis of Manchester,
Tennessee, and one nephew Matthew Dalton Travis of Manchester, Tennessee.

 

Mrs. Darla was a member of the Church of Christ.  She grew up a cheerleader and was a music enthusiast.  Darla enjoyed baking sweets, collecting bells from all over the world, and she adored her pets.  She enjoyed watching her humming birds that she affectionately referred to as her “hummers”.  Her first and foremost love in this life was being a mother to her daughter Lacy.  Her daughter and her family were her life.

 
Graveside Services for Mrs. Darla Travis Ingrum will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Fredonia Cemetery with Brother Milton Stanley officiating.  Burial will follow. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee. 

We will then go in procession to Fredonia Cemetery for the 2:00 PM Graveside Service and burial.

 

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Fredonia Cemetery Fund.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Vaughn, age 73 of Manchester will be
conducted at 2 pm, Tuesday, May 6 from the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel
with Homer Layne and Bishop Davenport officiating. 

 Burial will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery. 

Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 9 pm, Monday, May 5 at Manchester Funeral Home.   

Mrs. Vaughn passed away Saturday evening at Bailey Manor in Manchester. 

 
Mrs. Vaughn was born in Cannon County, Tennessee the daughter of the late
Buford and Eula Powers Bennett. 

She was a School Bus Driver for the Coffee County School System for over 30 years and also gave CDL testing
certification for many years.  Mrs. Vaughn was the owner of “Dot’s HauntedWoods” for many years andgave the proceeds to many charities around Coffee County throughout the years.  She also operated several small businesseswith her husband.  Dot was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tullahoma.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lee Vaughn.

Her survivors are:

5/4/14 —- OPAL BONNER-BUCKNER

Mary Opal Bonner Buckner, age 87, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into rest on May 2, 2014 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Opal was born on August 9, 1926 in Pelham, Tennessee to her parents, the late Morgan Haskel Bonner and Bethie Hawk Bonner. She was also preceded in death by her sons, James Buckner and Jerry Buckner and brother, Clifton Bonner.

She was a faithful member of the Campground Freewill Baptist Church in Pelham, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many people. Opal loved going to softball games regardless of the weather and watching Titan and TN Vols football. She also enjoyed going to Pigeon Forge, TN and Ft. Walton Beach, FL whenever possible.

She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne Sartain and her husband Willard of Manchester, TN and Shirley Perez and her husband Henry of Wartrace, TN; sons, Dennis Buckner of Pelham, TN and Clarence Buckner and his wife Angie of Hillsboro, TN; one brother, Wayne Bonner and his wife Pauline of Morrison, TN; seventeen grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; three-great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.  –  8:00 p.m. at the Central Funeral Home in Manchester.

The Funeral Service was conducted on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Campground Freewill Baptist Church in Pelham, TN.

Burial followed at the Bethel Cemetery in Pelham.

5/3/14 —– Bennett Doyle Anderson

Bennett Doyle Anderson, age 91 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on April 29, 2014.

Mr. Anderson was born September 26, 1922 in Coffee County, TN to his parents, the late Horace and Bessie Harmon Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Odell Haley Anderson; daughter, Martha Ellen; son, James Marlin Anderson; sister, Annie Ruth Trail; brother, Claude Anderson; granddaughter, Sandia Kay Delong; and grandson, Claytin Spurgin.

Mr. Anderson was a World War II United States Army veteran participating in battles at Ardemes, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was a professional carpenter , working at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) and in the building of the Opryland Hotel in Nashville with the Eastland Construction Company.

In addition to his work, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as, hunting, fishing and camping.

Mr. Anderson is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Evelyn Schultz and her husband Charles of Whitney, TX and Magdaene Carter and her husband Johnny of Manchester, TN; son, Leland Leon Anderson and his wife Betty of Bell Buckle, TN; sister, Christine Anderson; brother, Nolan Anderson and his wife Mary Ann; nine grandchildren, Jackie, Jeanie, Bobby, Jr., John, Iva, Johnny, Jr.,  Julie, James and Michael; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.  –  8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Danny Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fredonia Cemetery with United States Army Military Honors.

Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM Friday evening at Tullahoma funeral Home.

Mr. Hodge was born in Giles Co., TN to the late John and Sarah E. Stephens Hodge. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a son, David Hodge and several brothers and sisters.  

He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Hodge also was a self employed contractor and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hodge, daughter and son in law, Mary Ann and Mark Hawk, sisters Eunice Norris, Sarah Wilds, Willadene Howland, 2 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
