Graveside service for Mrs. Inez Clayborne, age 82 of Manchester, will be conducted Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Forest Mill Cemetery with Mr. Tony Clayborne and Mr. Tyler Clayborne
officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Clayborne passed away at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, July 7, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.flower8

Inez Arnold- Clayborne was born July 4, 1932 in Coffee County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jim Arnold and Irene Rigney Arnold.

In her earlier years, while living in Indiana, she was employed as a seamstress in a drapery factory. She treasured her time learning God’s word reading her Bible. Inez shared her free time playing cards with her friends at the Senior Citizens Center. She was proud to proclaim her best accomplishment in life was taking care of her two beloved boys. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Clayborne in 1993; one son Joe Clayborne; two brothers, Comer Arnold and Berthel Arnold; and one sister Mazel Arnold Moore.

Inez is survived by one son, Tony and wife, Gail Clayborne of Manchester, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Tyler Clayborne of Manchester, Tennessee, Ginny Clayborne also of Manchester, Tennessee, Tonya Clayborne
Purcell, Chris Clayborne, and Donald Clayborne, all of Elkhart, Indiana; and several great grandchildren.

7/12/14 —– Ruthanne “Ruthie” M. McCullough

Ruthanne “Ruthie” M. McCullough, age 67 of the Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on July 7, 2014.

She was born in Greenville, PA and was preceded in death by her parents, the late Gale Edward Burnett and Claira Burtt Burnett; and brothers, Gale Burnett and Cecil Burnett.

Ruthie was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who who enjoyed crocheting, reading and penpals. She was determined to to earn her high school diploma and, at the age of 52 old, graduated with her diploma, not a GED.

She is survived by her loving husband, Hugh Fredric McCullough of Manchester, TN; sons, Jodie A. Chapin and wife Becky of West Springfield, PA and Shawn M. Chapin and wife Debra of Manchester, TN; two brothers, Robert Burnett of Jefferson, OH and Richard Burnett of Kingsville, OH; nine grandchildren who are “spread throughout the USA”; sixteen great-grandchildren; nephew, Eddie Greenlee of Rogers, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

7/10/14 —— Mary Bond Offutt

Mrs. Mary Bond Offutt, age 83 of Tullahoma passed away, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 10 at 12 Noon at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pat Allison officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 10 from 10 AM until service time at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Offutt, a native of Gordonsburg, TN was the daughter of the late Leslie H. and Mary Bond Burnett.

She was a member of the Church of Christ at Cedar Lane. She was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and tennis and watching her soap operas. She especially enjoyed going to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie “Bud” Burnett Jr. and John “Bucky” William Burnett and one sister, Anna Frances McGaw.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Offutt of Tullahoma; two sons, Kevin Offutt and his wife, Denise of Franklin and Daryl Offutt of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mary Lee Stewart of Estill Springs and Lynda Sanders and her husband, Sean of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren, Alex Adams, Holly Stewart and Connor Offutt and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial donations to be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P O Box 650309, Dallas, TX. 75265.

Emmalynn Marie Jernigan went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 30, 2014.

 
She is survived by her parents, Joshua David and Elizabeth Carroll Jernigan; two brothers, Branson Daniel Jernigan  and Joshua “Graham” Otis Jernigan; grandparents, Bonnie and Steve Scullin, Helen Carroll, Daniel and Gail Carroll,
and David and Bambi Jernigan; great grandparents, Louise Hennessee, Otis Jernigan, Lorenia and Aubrey McGhee, and Tom and Marlene Scullin; aunts and uncles, Heather Jernigan, Melissa Carroll, Nathan and Rebecca Carroll, and Todd Marshall and Dani Michelle Wood.

 
Funeral services for Emmalynn Marie Jernigan will be conducted Wednesday July 9, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Cresswell officiating. 

Visitation with the Jernigan family will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM until the time of the service. 

Burial will follow in the Summitville Baptist  Cemetery in Coffee County, Tennessee.

7/11/14 —- Robert Michael Dickinson

Public Visitation for Robert Michael Dickinson, age 92, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will begin immediately following visitation in the chapel at the Tullahoma Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Jernigan officiating.

Burial Services will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors where he will be laid to rest with his loving wife, Bobbie Dickinson. 

Mr. Dickinson “Papa” passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN., following extended illnesses. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and was a Gunnery 1st Lieutenant in the United States Navy on the USS LST 491 during WWII and was on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France on D-Day. Following his military service, he worked various jobs in the lumber business and also worked as a circulation manager at the Manchester Times until he retired in 2001. He enjoyed spending time with family and spent many hours with friends at the Senior Citizens Center in Winchester. He was an Active member of Harris Chapel United Methodist Church in Estill Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dawn Dickinson, one son David Dickinson, one sister Jane Sample, two brothers Jack and Fred Dickinson, and also the love of his life, Roberta “Bobbie” Dickinson.

Survivors include three loving daughters, Deborah Wheeler (Burt) of Aurora, Ontario, Dianne McGee of Manchester, Susan Newman (Calvin) of Manchester, three grandsons Christopher Mason (Lindsay) from Schomberg, Ontario, Brandon King (Megan) of Hillsdale Michigan, Kyle Chisam (Ali) of Manchester, five granddaughters Kristin Griffin (Ray Bradley) of McMinnville, Shannon Weatherford (Bryon) of Estill Springs, Amy McRee (Randy) of Noblesville, Indiana, Missy Newman (Chad) of Manchester, Chrissy Newman (Joey) of Columbus, Ohio, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside services for Mr. Horace Claude Thomas, age 83, of Wartrace, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Lynchburg Cemetery.

Mr. Thomas passed away on Monday at his residence. 

Mr. Thomas was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Samuel Clyde and Katie Mae Gregory Thomas.

He was a farmer in Bedford County. 

In addition to his parents, Claude was also preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ann Jean Thomas; one son, John Darron Thomas; two sisters, Mary Lou Deal and Jean Thomas; one brother, James H. “Bub” Thomas.

He is survived by one son, C. Dean (Beth) Thomas of Wartrace; five grandchildren, Drew Thomas, Jake Thomas, Sarah Beth Thomas, Chloe Thomas, and Caden Thomas; two brothers, Jack Thomas of Manchester and Mike (Vivian) Thomas of Wartrace; two sisters, Virginia (J.D.) Lewis of Lavergne and Vicki Gilley of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.

7/10/14 —- Minnie Jewel Brinkley

Minnie Jewel Brinkley , of Estill Springs, passed this life on Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma at the age of 93.

Mrs. Brinkley was born in Huntsville, Alabama to the late John B. and Luna Vinson Cash.

She worked for Wilson Golf for 32 years and loved to crochet and do many other crafts. Mrs. Brinkley was a member of Westside United Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Brinkley; and three brothers, Clifton, Bobby and Paul Cash.

Mrs. Brinkley is survived by one daughter, Jewel Hawkersmith of Estill Springs; three sons, Davis Brinkley and his wife Brenda of Estill Springs, Coy Brinkley and his wife Debbie of Tullahoma, and Jerry Brinkley of Mulberry; one brother, Johnny Cash of Huntland; one sister, Margie Fugate of Huntington, West Virginia; twelve grandchildren, Ricky Hawkersmith and his wife Dawn, Rod Hawkersmith and his wife Glenda, Chrystal Hightower and her husband Ronnie, Kay Mulkey, Judy Brinkley, Bradley Brinkley and his wife Tanya, Shelly Shular and her husband Joe, Carey Brinkley and his wife Misty, James Brinkley and his wife Ashley, Jennifer Tidrick and her husband Charles, Tammy Brantley and her husband Jeff, and Jeremy Brinkley and his wife Katherine; 22 great grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, Chase, Miranda, Beth, Tonya, Chrystal Ann, Amanda, Asa, Isaac, Kisha, McKenzie, Norma, Colt, Jude, Javan, Megan, Austin, Kase, Jessica, Christy, and James; and 20 great great grandchildren, Drew, Jacob, Brantley, Grant, Tyler, Hunter, Anna, Andrea, Blake, Andrew, Devin, Michael, Mallory, Madeline, Matthew, Jaxen, Alanta, Aubree, Sabree, and Coraline.

Visitation for Mrs. Brinkley will be held on Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-9:00 pm.

7/8/14 —– Austin P. Taylor

Funeral services for Mr. Austin P. Taylor, age 91, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alan Adams officiating.

Burial will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor passed away on Saturday, July 5 at NHC in Tullahoma, TN.

Mr. Taylor was born in Whitleyville, TN, the son of the late Bedford and Berettia McCoin Taylor.

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, was an inspector at Carrier, delivered Manchester Times newspapers for 20 years, and was also involved in the local Meals on Wheels program. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Manchester.

In addition to his parents, Austin was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Browning Taylor, who passed away in 2009. He is survived by two sons, Roger (Kathy) Taylor of Hillsboro and Dennis Taylor of Manchester; one sister-in-law, Polly Taylor of Manchester; four grandchildren, Tammy (Jason) Ponder of Tullahoma, Jeremy Taylor of Manchester, Chad Taylor of Tullahoma, and Jeff Taylor of Michigan; and eight great-grandchildren, Cody and Wesley Taylor of Tullahoma, Seth and Jana Taylor of Winchester, Savannah Carroll of Tullahoma, and Gracie, Sophie and Charlotte Ponder, all of Tullahoma.

7/8/14 —– Lenora Moon Trussell

Lenora Moon Trussell, age 78, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma following an extended illness.

Mrs. Trussell was a member of the Christian Lighthouse Church.  She was employed at Edens for many years and other places as a seamstress and presser before her retirement.  She loved quilting and made quilts for all of her children and most of her grandchildren before she was unable to sew any longer.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents;Walter an Ollie Moon, Son, Larry Dale Stephens, grandchild and 6 siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Trussell of Tullahoma, daughters; Audrey Morris of Hillsboro, Mary Gaona of Tullahoma, Nellie Gragg of Leesburg, Ohio, son, Robert Glenn Stephens of Tullahoma, brother, Harold (Loretta) Moon of Tullahoma, step-children; Charles, Billy, Frankie and Margie Trussell and Louise Puff. 11-grandchildren,  23 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Trussell will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 7, 2014, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 8, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Bobby Watkins, Bishop James C. Taylor and Sister Sharon Taylor, officiating.

 Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro
