funeral flowerCarl David Burnette age 55 of Pelham, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Services in Winchester. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Burnette.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Burnette; children, Billie Faye Burnette (Kevin Brady), Hershell Lee Burnette, John Hunter Burnette, Ashley Brinkley, step-son, Juan Luc Paul Rinck; mother, Flona Lee Burnette; sister, Jackie Morris (Elivie George); grandchildren, Miriam Brady, Joshua Burnette, Colin Brady and Brianna Brinkley.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ray Winton officiating. Burial will be in Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at: www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.

funeral flowerMr. Earvin Clarence Green, age 84 of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse C. and Jimmie A. Frazier Green and one brother Earnest Green.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Thelma J. Vaughn Green, three daughters, Sandra Morgan of Manchester, Tennessee, Patricia Pinegar and husband Wayne of Manchester, Tennessee, Teresa Wright and husband Emmett “Casey” of Manchester, Tennessee, two sons, Ricky Green and wife Helen of Manchester, Tennessee, Mitchel Green and wife Anne of Manchester, Tennessee, two sisters, Lou Smith of Manchester, Tennessee, Mamie Burks of Manchester, Tennessee, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive.

Mr. Green was a member of the Church of Christ at Noah
for over fifty years. He was retired from the Carrier Corporation after many years of service. Mr. Green was a self-taught carpenter and musician who loved to sing and play old country and Gospel songs. He
enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, coon hunting, helping others as well as playing the
occasional prank on someone every now and then. He had a gift of making folks laugh and a giving heart to help everyone. His faith and his family were his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him
and loved him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Earvin C. Green will be conducted on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee with Brother Tommy Underwood, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Green and Douglas Cemetery, Coffee County, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Louise Turner Holt, age 82, of
Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at
Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Burial
will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family
will be from 12:00 Noon until time of service on Friday at the funeral
home. Mrs. Holt passed away Wednesday morning at McArthur Manor in
Manchester, surrounded by her loving family.

Donna was born in Warren County, TN, the daughter of the late Claude
Perry and Margaret Jane Gannon Turner. She was a homemaker and a sales
associate for Henley’s Department Store in Manchester for many years.
She was a member of Manchester First United Methodist Church, United
Methodist Women, and Manchester Garden Club. Donna was a devoted wife
and mother, an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed sewing, flower
gardening, and quilting.

Mrs. Holt is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Coolidge Holt of
Manchester; four daughters, Linda (Randy) Layne of Ooltewah, TN, Denise
(Doug) Bielan of Dacula, GA, Susan (Mark) Yother of Manchester, and Lissa
(J.D.) Parks of Cookeville, TN; nine grandchildren, Josh Layne, Jason and
Jenny Moore, Ami Yother Shedd and Joey Yother, Lauren Parks Christopher,
Jac, Alex, and Sara Parks; nine great grandchildren, William and Kendall
Layne, Zachary and Sawyer Moore, Elizabeth, Sarah Grace and Cole Shedd,
Leif and Jack Henry Christopher; two sisters, Sharon Turner of
Clarksville, TN and Colene (Jimmy) Passons of McMinnville; niece, Beth
Sain; and nephew, J.T. Sain; and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to
Manchester First United Methodist Church, 105 North Church Street,

Thomas Walter McLennan

mclennanThomas Walter McLennan, age 77 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away,
Friday, January 1, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
No services are scheduled.

A native of Charlestown, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy
Kelsey McLennan. He was a U S Army Veteran serving as a Green Beret in the
82nd Airborne, 5th Special Forces Unit. Mr. McLennan loved to cook and was
an Executive Chef and worked in various restaurants thru out Southern
Florida. He also owned his own restaurant in New Hampshire. He was an
avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers,
Joseph and Frank McLennan and one sister, Dorothy McLennan.

Mr. McLennan is survived by his wife, Donna Cosentino McLennan of
Manchester; three sons, Frank M. McLennan and his wife, Theresa of Saugus,
MA, Joseph P. McLennan of Wakefield, MA and John Hough and his wife, Dora
of Manchester; one daughter, Kelly E. McLennan of Manchester; ex-wife,
Frances “Ines” Carnazzo of Wakefield, MA; one sister, Margaret Callahan
of
Malden, MA; six grandchildren, Bryan McLennan of Wakefield, MA, Allyson
Medford and her husband, Jeremy of Saugus, MA, Kelsey McLennan of
Wakefield, MA, Nicholas T. and Nichole Hough, both of Manchester and John
H. Connelly of Manchester and two great grandchildren, Kylie and Keira
Medford.

jonesMrs. Sue Bell Jones age 71 of McMinnville, TN, died Monday, January 04, 2016. She was born September 13, 1944 in Warren County, TN, was a private sitter in healthcare and was a member and Sunday School teacher at Friendship The Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by parents Otis Haskell and Hazel Glenn Martin, Sr., first husband Glen E. Bell, and sister Judy Ann Martin.

Survivors include her husband Lane Jones, children Martin (Lisa) Bell, Deanna (Jeff) Smith, and Mendie (Brent) Craven, step children Greg (Amy) Jones and Angela (Bill) Coleman, sister Nadean (Kenneth) Brown, brothers Ollis (Mary Frances) Martin, Haskel Martin, Doug (Carol) Martin, and Otis (Sylvia) Martin, Jr., grandchildren David Craven, Brynn Craven, and Marlee Smith, step grandchildren Andrew Coleman, Jonathan Coleman, Bailey Jones, Madison Jones, Morgan Jones and Bryson Davis, and special friend Claudine Ray. Several nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Thursday, January 07, 2015, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Tim Pack, Darrell Cantrell, and Brent Craven will officiate. Interment will follow at Webb Cemetery with prayer by Jason Brown. The Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 PM until 8 PM and again Thursday from 10 AM until 1 PM at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.

Georga Willis resizeFuneral services for Mrs. Georga Sain Willis, age 94, of Manchester, will
be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Marcrom and Bro. David Haley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery. Visitation with the
family will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the
funeral home. Mrs. Willis passed away Monday, January 4 2016 at Horizon
Health and Rehab in Manchester.

Mrs. Willis was born in Hillsboro, TN, the daughter of the late George
Marion Sain and Gladys Carden Sain. She was a member of Main Street
Church of Christ for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday School and
Vacation Bible School. She was a volunteer for the Coffee County
Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered more than 5000 hours over 30
years and was in charge of the beauty shop. She was also a Red Cross
volunteer for over 30 years and delivered Meals on Wheels for more than
20 years. Her favorite charities were World Vision and Christian
Children’s Fund. Her family will always cherish her devotion to her
family, her tenacity, her frugality, her generosity, and her resilient,
indomitable spirit.

In addition to her parents, Georga was also preceded in death by her
husband of almost 50 years, Clark Miller Willis, Jr.; two sisters, Evelyn
Freeman and Frances Belle Thornton; and three brothers, Charles Hampton
Sain, Earl Kenneth Sain, and Fred Carden Sain. She is survived by two
sons, Mark Edward (Julia) Willis of Hillsboro and Robert Wayne (Dorothy)
Willis of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Damon Blake (Melissa) Willis
and Justin Kane (Kerry) Willis, both of Louisville, KY, Carden Michael
(Courtney) Willis of Turner’s Station, KY, Jared Clark Willis, Jared
Henson, and Katelin Henson, all of Hillsboro; and six great
grandchildren, Charles Jackson Willis, Anna Gracelyn Willis, Wyatt Blake

nesterGraveside services for Donald Arden Nester, age 83 of Manchester, will be conducted Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Randy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, January 4, 2016 from 5-8 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Nester passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester.

Mr. Nester was born December 24, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late John Kenneth and Louisa Thomas Nester. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was known for being a caring man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and helping his neighbors any way he could. He attended college at Virginia Tech and was an avid Hokie’s fan. Mr. Nester was a hard worker and loved building different things such as barns and rifles. Mr. Nester was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Manchester.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Nester was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Nester; brother, Ernest Nester. He is survived by his sons; Gary Nester (Tracy) of Manchester, David Nester (Mary Kay) of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Laura Gann, Kyle Nester, Brandon Nester, Baylee Nester, Lauryn Gann; sister-in-law, Susan Nester.

Veda Lee Mather

January 2, 2016 at Harton Regional Medical Center. No services are

A native of Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and
Veda Taylor. Mrs. Mather had worked in the healthcare industry in Delkalb
County, Georgia.

She is survived by one son, Herbert Andrew Mather of Estill Springs, TN.

3, 2016 at her residence. No local services are scheduled.

A native of Elwood, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Burnice and
Mary Ellen Houston Hughes. She retired from Marsh Supermarket where she
had been a Deli Manager. Mrs. Stage, a lifelong resident of Elwood, IN
relocated to Tullahoma a couple of years ago to be near her son. She
enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and baking and especially spending
time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie
L. Stage and one brother, James Hughes.

She is survived by one son, Gregory Stage and his wife, Michelle of
Tullahoma; one daughter, Lisa Stage of Elwood, IN; seven brothers, Larry
Hughes, Merrill Hughes and his wife, Pam, Mark Hughes, Bill Hughes and his
wife, Peggy and Dennis Hughes and his wife, Jackie, all of Elwood, Alan
“Butch” Hughes and his wife, Anita of Marietta, GA and Roger Hughes and
his
wife, Rita of Warsaw, IN; sisters-in-law, Patty Stage Alexander and her
husband, Mike and Diane Hughes, both of Elwood; eight grandchildren, Jacob,
Ryne, Cameron, Michael, Bailey, Austin, Emsley and Ashley. She was also a
host grandmother to two foreign exchange students, Emi Matayoshi and
Preawpan Tongsopit and many many nieces and nephews. .

Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Arnold passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at his residence in Manchester.

Mr. Arnold was born in Manchester, TN, the son of the late Ridley and Alta Ruth Medley Arnold. He was the self-employed owner and operator of Ralph’s Body Shop in Manchester. He enjoyed racing and modifying cars and working on his land. Ralph was the founder of Manchester Speedway and operated it for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather and a caring man, always helping people in need. He would give his shirt off his back just to help someone out that was in need. He was a smart man and will be truly missed. He was the man who made “Arnold Green Acres.”

In addition to his parents, Ralph was also preceded in death by one sister, Dihlia “Jeannie” Sisk. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kathy E. Hale Arnold of Manchester; two sons, Ralph (Shannon) Arnold, II of Manchester and Jason (Jeri) Arnold of Florida; two brothers, Ricky Arnold of Manchester, and Steve (Cathy) Arnold of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, and Jaelee Arnold; three aunts, Mavis Matlock, Marie Winton, and Gerdie Floyd; nieces and nephews, Jeffery Baltimore, Joshua, Tommy, Will, and Ruthie Arnold, Buffy Davis, Carrie Johnson, and Tasha Arnold.
