6-13-06 — Glenn Orville Davis

Mr. Glenn Orville Davis, age 85 passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at
the Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Monday, June 13 at 10 AM at the Noah Fork Baptist Church in
Manchester with Bro. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at
Farrar Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 9 AM – 10
AM.

A native of Nashville, TN, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Elmer G and
Ethylee Vickers Davis. He was a U S Army veteran serving for seven years
and in the Korean War. He was a survivor of the Battle of Heartbreak Ridge
being there 42 days. He was very proud of his military service. Mr. Davis
was also very proud of being a published poet multiple times. He was a
devout Christian who enjoyed reading his Bible.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith
I Davis and Elmer L Davis and two sisters, Ailsa Clements and Marjorie Lee
Davis Green.

Mr. Davis is survived by one brother, Jack Davis of Manchester and many
nieces and nephews.

6/12/16 — Michael J Shuran

Michael J Shuran, age 66 of Tullahoma, passed away on Friday,
 June 10 at Tennova Harton Hospital.  Funeral Services are
 scheduled for Sunday, June 12 at 4 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Father Joel Hassell
officiating.  Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
  Visitation with
the family will be from 2 – 4 PM.

A native of Winchester, he was the son of the late Peter
 and Fannie Mary Noblitt Shuran.  Mike was a member of
 St. Stephens Anglican Church where he
was very active.  He was an electrical engineer and had 
worked at AEDC.  He enjoyed studying the Civil War and loved
 old Ford Mustang, mathematics and science. 
 He enjoyed woodworking, blacksmithing and spending time with his
family.  He was an animal lover and especially enjoyed his pets.
 Mike was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in his late 50’s 
and has fought a long courageous fight since.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
 by his sister-in-law, Sandra Huddleston.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Bailey Shuran of
 Tullahoma; two sons, Mickey Shuran and his wife,
 Wendy of Tullahoma and Luke Shuran and his
wife, Tarah of Tullahoma; one sister, 
Carolyn Robertson of Campbell, CA;
brother-in-law, Keith Bailey and his wife,
 Ramona of Tullahoma; four grandchildren, Colin, 
Emilee, Halle and Brighton and numerous nieces and
nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations
 be made to the Tullahoma Educational Foundation for Excellence
 or the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s
 Research, P O Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD, 21741.

Madelynn Esther Hinds, infant of Gary Hinds, Jr. and LeAnna
Fischer of Manchester, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at
Summit Medical Center. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June
12, 2016
from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

In addition to her parents, Madelynn is survived by her brother,
Gary Hinds III; grandparents, Stephen and Tootsie Fischer of Manchester,
Gary,

John Eckerson, age 61 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on June 9, 2016 at the St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. He was a Truck Driver with the Titan Transfer Company for over 32 years. John loved all of his family very much, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Victory in Jesus Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Arthur Bradley Eckerson and Marie Edythe Eschrich Eckers. John is survived by his loving wife, Janet Morene Holt Eckerson of Manchester, TN; children, Lorretta Eckerson of Bradenton, FL, Timothy Eckerson of Murfreesboro, TN, Lisa Capps of Murfreesboro, TN, Bridget R. Patricia Ann Melton , of Beech Grove, Tennessee , passed away at her home in Lakewood Park. Born in Biloxi, MS to her parents, the late Raymond Laskowski and Dorothy Scurry Laskowski. She was the past president of the ladies Auxiliary in Tampa, Florida and of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley A. Dorothy M. Sherrill, age 81 of Manchester passed away June 8, 2016. She was a resident of Hillsboro, Tennessee and the daughter of the late Marce and Kathlene Adams. Dorothy was a member of the Beans Creek Church of Christ in Hillsboro, TN. She was a den mother for the Tennessee Department of Corrections for girls. Preceded in death by her husband Homer C. Sherrill; 1 daughter; Judy S. Creek,2 sisters; Martha Brown and Virginia Adams.

Survived by 2 daughters Linda Robison, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, and Janice and (Don) Keasling, of Hillsboro, Tennessee and 1 son, Charles “Chuck” Sherrill, of Manchester, Tennessee, 6 grandchildren; Bradley and (Rose)Creek of Hillsboro, TN, Laura and (Stan) Freeze of Manchester, TN, Angela Northcutt of Hillsboro, TN, Stephanie and Brent Tudor, of Manchester, TN, Adam Keasling of Oxford, MS, and Dusty and Kerry Gannon of Manchester, TN; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; Buck and Ann Adams of Hillsboro, TN, and a special friend, Betty Watson of Manchester, TN.

flower 22Funeral services for Mr. Warren Stacy, age 90 of Manchester, will be conducted Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Richard Craddock and Brother Eric Wood officiating with interment to follow in Summitville Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Stacy passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Mr. Stacy was born on May 26, 1926 in Coffee County to the late Ernest and Gertrude Stacy. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII. He was a member of Summitville Baptist Church where he was a deacon. Mr. Stacy was a well-known brick mason in the Coffee County area. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved to farm.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant brother, Ralph Stacy; his loving wife, Gladys Woodward Stacy. Survived by his sons, Jimmy Stacy (Christy) of North Carolina, Riley Stacy of Manchester, Tommy Stacy of Manchester; daughter, Peggy Stacy Wood (Dennis) of Sparta; brother, Grady Stacy (Georgie) of Indianna; sister, Elizabeth Bishop (Jerry) of Alabama; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

flower 11On June 7th, 2016 Ms. Helen Patricia Talley of Estill Springs, TN entered into Heaven surrounded by her family at St. Thomas Hospital in Murfressboro, TN. Helen was a very loving mother and grandmother. She survived by her Sons Andy K. Talley and Ira Shawn Talley; Daughters Tanya May Talley-Jones (Tommy), Jodi Nelms (Josh), and Jessica Ann Talley; Twelve wonderful Grandchildren; Brother Stanley Chituck; Sisters Karen Stanck (Gary), Catherine Mims (Nathan), and Deborah Bender; Numerous Nieces and Nephews and a longtime boyfriend Jess Salcido. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Anthony Chituck and Jacqueline Catherine Drumm.

evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Bryan passed away on Wednesday, June
1, 2016 at Manchester Healthcare.

Mrs. Bryan was born in Rutherford County, TN, the daughter of the late
Andrew J. and Era Verne Vassar Todd. She was a homemaker and a member of
Big Creek Baptist Church in the Big Springs Community of Rutherford
County.

In addition to her parents, Lyta was also preceded in death by her
husband, Edward Bryan; one daughter, Glory Ann Bryan; one brother,
Charlie Benton Todd; and two sisters, Lizzie Bell Carter McCary and Elva
Hall Roberts Hartman. Lyta is survived by one daughter, Linda Bryan of
Manchester; two sisters, Carmean Turner of Manchester and Callie Frances
Bryan of Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
