Funeral services for Mr. Medford Ray Green, age 85, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bros. Ray Marcrom and Mike Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Green passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 27, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Ray was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Eulie and Novia Smith Green. He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War and was a member of Forest Mill Church of Christ. He was the owner and operator of Green’s Bestway for over 60 years. Ray loved farming and watching things grow, playing and singing music, riding his tractor and bulldozing, and riding his four-wheeler with his best friend, Bullett. In 1989, he won Amateur Rider on Champion Walking Horse, Knight Bummer.
In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by two brothers, Warfield and Leon Green; and one sister, Ogena Sain. He is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Green; four daughters, Vickie Lee (Ronnie) Duggin, Connie Rae (Arron) Sissom, Jackie Lamar (Greg) Solomon, and Kandace Hullett; two sisters, Margaret Anderson and Linda Sue Stephens; grandchildren, Cory Duggin, Taylor Duggin, Blair Solomon, Alexis Solomon, Brenda Cooper, Virginia Larry, Drew Larry, Cedric Sissom, Brandon Sissom, and Kelsey Adams; many special nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Gene Elmer Nickles, Sr., age 51 of Manchester will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday, November 26 at the Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the Nickles family will be Friday evening from 5pm until 9pm at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Nickles passed this life Monday at Unity Medical Center in Manchester.
