Eugene Brown

Funeral services for Eugene Brown, age 54 of Manchester, will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 11 AM in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel with pastor Jonathon Blazer officiating. Burial will follow in the Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 2 -5 PM at the funeral home. Eugene passed away at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Eugene was born on January 30, 1968, to Ronald Eugene and Eliza Hill Brown, Sr., in Manchester. He enjoyed working on cars in his father’s garage and putting together model cars. Eugene was a hard worker and enjoyed being with his family. He had been visiting the White Oak Grove Church of God before his declining health, at which time, pastor Jonathon Blazer, would come to his home to minister and pray with him. 

In addition to his parents, Eugene is survived by his children, Kyler Brown and his wife, Hope, William Brown ( Cherish Gann), Marissa Wiseman and her husband, Zach, and Shannon Brown; grandchildren, Aria, Adalyn and Aiden Wiseman, and Elias Brown; sister, Tina Casteel; several extended family members and a host of friends.

Donald Jay Hendrixson Sr.

Donald Jay Hendrixson, Sr., age 81, passed away on April 18 at Vanderbilt
Tullahoma-Harton Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April
25, 2022 at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at
10 AM and a service following at 11 AM. A native of Miami County, Don was
born at home on July 19, 1940 in Peru, Indiana. He was the son of the late
Ova Jay Hendrixson and Betty Bee Garner. On November 12, 1971, he married
Donna Miller Weaver. In 1958, Don graduated from Tipton Township High
School in Onward, Indiana. Throughout his life, Don enjoyed various
occupations. He was a foreman for many factories through the years, worked
on the railroad, enjoyed farming and carpentry projects, and especially
enjoyed working with his hands. He retired in 2002 from Power Tool
Manufacturing. Don was an avid fisherman and caught enough crappie and
bluegill to fill his freezer and often enjoyed sharing with family and
friends. He loved to talk about fishing to anyone he could, discussing
water temperature, spawning seasons, and the depth of nearby lakes. He
owned maps of local lakes and kept detailed records of his fishing routes.
He had fished in every state in the U.S. except Georgia. He and Donna loved
spending time together taking road trips and shopping at second hand
stores. He enjoyed raising beef cattle and even owned and showed a Grand
Champion Polled Hereford one year. He was an experienced farmer, planting
row crops and raising animals. Surviving are his wife, Donna Hendrixson of
Tullahoma, TN, her children, Craig (Dana) Weaver of Angola, IN, Kevin
(Karen) Weaver of Auburn, IN, Todd (Jennifer) Weaver of Angola, IN, Shane
Weaver of Fayetteville, TN; his children, Don (Dede) Hendrixson of
Logansport, IN, and Robyn (Loren) Regier of Hampton, GA, a brother, Sam
Hendrixson of Morrison, TN, and a sister Peggy (Dan) Jones from Peru, IN.
He has 17 surviving grandchildren; Adam Weaver, Brianna (Derek) Jaeger,
Jennifer Weaver, Matt Weaver, Emma Huschka, Brennan Weaver, Maggie Weaver,
Chris Weaver, Kayla (Jonathon) Racine, Kelsey (Harley) Asher, Whitney
(Garrett) Rushing, Ethan Regier, Nate Regier, Katie (Mario) Arenas, Christy
Hendrixson, J.P. (Maddie) Hendrixson, Kerri Hendrixson, and 17
great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Betty
Hendrixson, and his grandson, Evan Weaver.

Charles Bernard Jackson

Charles Bernard Jackson of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital at the age of 82. Mr. Jackson was born in McMinnville, TN to the late Cecil and Sarah Stone Jackson. During his life, Charles served his country as a member of the United States Navy, worked as a freight deliverer for Yellow Freight, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Jackson; and one son, Eric Jackson. He is survived by two sons, Michael Jackson, and Scott Jackson (Susan); two grandchildren Chelsea Hornback, and Austin Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Kinsley Cates, Eli Cates, and Amelia Hornback. Visitation for Mr. Jackson will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 11:30-1:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Summitville Cemetery in Summitville, TN at 1:30pm.

Christin Marie Pepple

Ms. Christin Marie Pepple, age 33, of Hillsboro, TN,
passed from this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Murfreesboro, TN.

Christin was born in Winchester, TN, to her parents Michael and Jennifer
Pepple. She was a hair stylist, beautician, and cosmetologist for most of
her life and then went to attend John A. Gupton College to become a funeral
director. Christin also designed clothing and was an amazing craftswoman.
She also enjoyed writing and had a book that was to be published. Christin
was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Patricia Pepple and Patsy Hicks.

In addition to her parents, Christin is survived by a brother, Brian
Pepple; sister, Rachel (Chance) Phelps; grandfathers, Donald Pepple and
Jimmie Gaunce; nieces, Elena and Esme Phelps; her cat, Iago; several aunts,
uncles, and extended family.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 12noon
until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Memorial services
will be conducted immediately following visitation at 2:00pm in the chapel
of Central Funeral Home.

Katherine Farrar Smith

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Farrar Smith, age 83 of Normandy, will be conducted on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2 PM in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel, with pastor Roger Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at 1 PM on Friday until time of service. Mrs. Smith passed away on Tuesday, April 19 at McArthur Manor in Manchester after an extended illness.

Mrs. Katherine was born on May 8, 1938, to the late James Monroe and Becky Lou Hickerson Farrar, in Manchester. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blanton’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Katherine enjoyed working in her yard, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She sang in a gospel quartet and performed in many gospel concerts.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Katherine is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Edgar Earl Smith; brothers, Eldon Farrar and his wife, Angie, and Horace Farrar and his wife, Edith; sisters, Eva Farrar Toms and her husband, Jess, and Odell Farrar Pitts and her husband, Bill; nieces and nephews, Glenda Toms Saine, Carol Toms Benson, Connie Toms Hill, Kathy Toms Eslinger, Claude Smith, Jr., Keith Smith, and Bruce Capshaw. She is survived by other nieces and nephews, Helen Toms Darden, Royce Toms, Kay Nelson, Kerry Farrar, Christy Swanson, Mark Farrar, Lori Shelton, Larry Smith, Pamela Capshaw, Earla Alexander, Karen Capshaw Rust, and Cindy Smith; several other extended family members and a host of friends.

Earl Gordon Cairns

Mr. Earl Gordon Cairns, age 90, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 in
Chiefland, Florida. Mr. Cairns was born May 1, 1931 to the late Earl Gordon
and Sophia Schmidt Cairns in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A Godly man and minister
for 68 years, he spent his life caring about where people would spend
eternity, he also spent 20+ years as a volunteer with the Sheriff’s
Department. He was a HAM radio operator and a friend to everyone as well as
being an amazing father. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in
death by his wife, Betty Duke Cairns. Mr. Cairns is survived by a daughter,
Susan (Deshon) Winters; grandchildren, Cairn Deshon Hamilton and Tommy Dale
Wilson; great grandchildren, Ashley Deshon Hamilton, Zachary Joseph
Hamilton, Abigail Sophia Wilson, Mia Rose Turbeville. Visitation with the
family will be held Friday, April 22 from 4-8pm at Central Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 23 at 2pm at Central Funeral
Home with Dustin Duke and John Gaston officiating. Burial will follow in

Katherine “Kathy” Ann O’Kelley

Katherine “Kathy” Ann O’Kelley of Manchester passed this life on Saturday,
April 16 at her residence at the age of 74. Services are scheduled for
Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.  The
family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the service time.  Burial
will follow at 3:30 PM at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, 9090 TN 100,
Nashville, TN 37221.

A native of Waverly, TN, she was the daughter of the late Elvin Leroy
Curtis and the late Lottie H. Speckstadt Curtis. Kathy was a great
homemaker and wanted everything clean and in its place.  She enjoyed
cooking, listening to country music and dancing.  She also like to visit
Panama City Beach.

“Anyone who knows her knows Kathy loved to laugh.  And no doubt they know
she could be tough minded as well.  She loved her children dearly and
adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  May 16, 2022 would have
marked her 55th wedding anniversary with Wayne who she loved from the day
she met him.  She loved photos and kept piles of family pictures and
keepsakes.  She loved country music and anything Alan Jackson ever sang.
In her younger days she loved to dance and do the two-step.  One of her
other favorite things to do was ride around town in Wayne’s truck to see
the sights.  There’s going to be a big hole in the hearts of all who loved
her.  We love you Kathy as wife, mother, sister, grandmother,
great-grandmother, relative, and friend and you will be dearly missed.  May
our Father in heaven grant you to rest in peace now and be raised to
eternal life in glory with Him through Jesus our Lord.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Corey
Curtis.

She is survived by husband, Kenneth O’Kelley Sr., of Manchester; sons,
Randall Patrick Curtis of Manchester, Kenneth O’Kelley Jr (Lisa) of
Lascassas and Terry O’Kelley of Manchester; daughters, Shawnee Waters of
Clarksville and Jackie Sawyers of Centerville; brother, Bobby Joe Curtis
(Charlotte) of Lakeland, TN; sisters, Betty Malloch (Terry) of Prior Lake,
Minnesota, Sherry Pewitt (Don) and Dottie Stinson, both of Lyles, TN;
grandchildren, Ashley Curtis Thurman (Dallas), Austin O’Kelley (Sarah),
Luke O’Kelley, Rachel Neal (Kyle), Justin and Joshua Waters and Cody and
Courtney Sawyers and four great grandchildren plus another who is on the
way.

Ina Louise Teal

Ina Louise Teal of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, April 16 at
Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital at the age of 73. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Manchester City Cemetery.  The family will
receive friends from 11 AM until the service time.

A native of Winchester, Ina was the daughter of the late Edward “Doc” Lloyd
and Martha Haslett Galligan.  She enjoyed cooking and attending local
festivals and craft fairs along with yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Jerome “Jerry” Floyd Teal.

Mrs. Teal is survived by sons, Timothy Scott Solomon (Judy) of Manchester
and Tyson Solomon of Tullahoma; daughter, Shanda Johns of Tullahoma;
brother, Phil Whisenhunt (Linda) of Smart, TN; grandchildren, Amanda
Underwood (Morgan), Shali Rackley (Harvey), Tim Solomon (Jeannette), Rance
Solomon (Garvita), Roger-Trenton Solomon (Nora), James Lane Moore, Harm
Anthony Moore and Kross Jennings Moore and ten great grandchildren.

Patsy Mae West

Ms. Patsy Mae (Frazier) West of Normandy, TN, passed away Saturday, April
16, 2022, at NHC Scott Health Care Facility in Lawrenceburg, TN after a
short illness.

She was born to the late Pat and Maggie Frazier on December 7, 1936. She
was preceded in death by her husband, JR West, daughter, Gloria Faye
Smithson, brother, Marvin Frazier, sisters, MaryLou Tucker, Imogene
Sissoms, and Eddie Lee Jacobs. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey West
(Sherry); grandchildren, Brad Broadrick (Paige), Emily West, Jessica West
Staggs, Brittany Maynard (Nick); great-grandchildren, Amanda and Bradley
Broadrick, Hunter Boyd Staggs and Elijah Korp, Kaylee, Lexie, and Jacen
Maynard; sisters, Ellen Ghea (Eddie), and Barbara Mullins (Billy).

Patsy was a caring mother, Nanny, sister, and friend. She loved flowers,
vegetable gardens, feeding birds, preparing huge meals, and spending time
with her family.

The family would like to thank Debra with Home Instead, who has taken care
of Nanny for the past 2 years.

Visitation with the family and friends will be Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at
11 AM until 1 PM at Manchester Funeral Home. Services will start at 1 PM
following visitation, with Bro. Sam Upton officiating. Burial will follow
at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN.

Carol Sweeton

Carol Sweeton of Winchester passed this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at
her residence, at the age of 73. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held
at 12:30 PM on April 30,2022 at Montgomery Cowen Cemetery in Cowan.

Carol, a native of Butterfly, Kentucky, was the daughter of the late Cecil
Couch and Martha Campbell Couch.

Ms. Sweeton is survived by her son, JR Sweeton of Winchester, TN; brother,
Eddie Couch of Scottsburg, Indiana; sisters, Gladys Combs of Talking Rock,
Georgia, Shirley Addison of Austin, Indiana, Poppy Jean Greco of Indiana,
Eva Green of Austin, Indiana and Gertrude Carey of Martin, Tennessee.
