Debra Jean Ridiner

Debra Jean Ridiner of Flintville, passed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the age of 67. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00AM at Moore Cemetery in Flintville. 

Mrs. Ridiner was born in Peoria, IL to the late Jasper Hearlston and Ava Vickery Hearlston. She enjoyed sewing and working on her needlework.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Ridiner; sons, Christopher (Renee) Corbin and Stevie Corbin; brothers, Michael (Carolyn) Hearlston and Larry (Connie) Hearlston; sisters, Janet (Gary) Adams and Darlene (Rob) Abel; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jon Carl Becker

Jon Carl Becker, age 46, of Austin, TX, passed from this life on July 9, 2020, from complications of surgery, following a car accident. A celebration of life will be held on August 15, 2020, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Manchester Funeral Home.

Jon was born in Santa Clara, CA, the son of the late Werner Becker and Pam O’Connor, who survives. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by two sisters, Ericka DiNovo and Samantha Welden. Jon was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Geraldine Prater. Jon graduated from Coffee County Central High School in 1992.

George Jeter Spears Jr.

George Jeter Spears Jr., of Antioch, passed this life on Monday, August 3,
2020 in Manchester at the age of 65.  Graveside services are scheduled for
Monday, August 10, 2020 at 2:30 PM at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin
Pike S, Nashville, TN  37216.  The family will receive friends on Sunday,
August 9, 2020 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma.

George, a native of Nashville, was the son of the late George Jeter Spears
Sr. and Elsie Timmons Spears.  He enjoyed camping, playing golf, fishing
and riding horses.  He also enjoyed visiting the casinos and watching the
food network on TV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Susan
Summers.

He is survived by sons, Mike Spears (Rebecca), Donnie Spears (Andrea) and
Eric Reed (Deanna) all of Manchester; daughter, Teresa Reed (Stephanie) of
Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Vanna, Adam and Trevor Spears and Ryan,
Hailey, Jason, Ethan and Rayleigh Reed and two great grandchildren.

Jack Milan Dragovic

Funeral services for Mr. Jack Milan Dragovic, age 73, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Dragovic passed from this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at St. Thomas – West in Nashville, TN.

Jack was born in Germany on June 7, 1947, the son of the late Milan and Mica Dragovic. Jack moved to Chicago, IL in 1952, with his parents from Yugoslavia. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving in the United States Army. He went to school and lived in Chicago until 2011, when he moved to Manchester with his beloved wife for their retirement. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan Dragovic; three sons, Raymond (Maggie) Dragovic, Steven Dragovic, and Timothy (Carrie) Dragovic; one daughter, Susan (Matthew) Deneen; four grandchildren, Noah, Hunted, Mason, and Mia; two special cousins, Dushanka (Mike) Milatovich and Dushan Stevanovich.

Celebration of life for Dennis Weaver will be Sunday, Aug. 9

There will be a celebration of life for Dennis Weaver from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9 at the Coffee County Central High School softball field.

Weaver, more commonly known as “Weave,” was the sports director for Thunder Radio an the play-by-play voice for Coffee County Central High School athletics. He passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 24 after complications from a routine operation.

Weaver was a longtime softball coach at Coffee County Central. He, along with Jeff Breeden, helped to build the program into a state power and were integral in construction of the softball complex. He spent decades calling Red Raider and Lady Raider athletics on the air for WMSR Thunder Radio. He also spent time as public address announcer for the high school softball team and basketball teams. Weave was responsible for launching the Coffee Coaches Show – a weekly show that airs at 10 a.m. Saturday and has allowed hundreds of prep athletes the ability to be on the radio.

Brenda J. Worsham

Brenda J. Worsham of Fayetteville, passed this life on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the age of 71. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:00AM at Bevills Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Worsham was the daughter of the late Carl and Isbelle Ray Boren. She loved laughing with friends and family, as well as relaxing on her porch. She was also very close to her doggie companion, Bella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Howard Worsham and daughter, Leslie Sapach.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa (Thomas) Posey and Lori (Lee) Jordan; brother, Robert (Trisha) Boren; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Richard D. Moorehead

Richard D. Moorehead of Nashville, formerly of Fayetteville, passed this life on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the age of 59. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 1:00PM at Lebanon Cemetery, with Rev. James Barnes officiating.
Mr. Moorehead was the son of Robert and Faye Moorehead of Fayetteville. He is best remembered as a family man. He was very close to his family and enjoyed when everyone got together for family meals, especially when his mom made his favorite chocolate pie. His granddaughters brought him great joy, as did his fur babies, Murf and Doogie. Mr. Moorehead spent a great deal of time riding his Harley and enjoyed time spent in the mountains. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by son, Ben Jourdan.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Faye Moorehead; wife, Lisa Moorehead; step-son, Cory Jourdan; brothers, Steve and John Moorehead; sister, Alicia Moorehead; granddaughters, Rosalyn, Gia, and Laly Jourdan; several nieces and nephews.

Howard Haskell Winton

Mr. Howard Haskell Winton, 82, passed away Tuesday August 4, 2020 at his home. He was born in Coffee County on December 28,1937 to Howard Weldon Winton and Virgie Mae Tucker Winton who preceded him in death.

He was retired from the Elk River Public Utility and had worked at Central
Funeral Home.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Georgia Mae Faulkner Winton; sons,
George (Carrie) and James (Kathy) Winton; brother, Truman (Tina) Winton;
sisters, Betty Watson, Susie (David) Harmon and Joy Fay Trawick;
grandchildren, Kaylyn (David) Morgan and Jordan Winton; great
grandchildren, Aleigha Champion, Emma and Ava Morgan; several nieces and
nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the Central Funeral Home
chapel with Ministers, Randy Thomas and David Kidder officiating with
burial to follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Powers and Wayne Tidwell.

Dorothy Naomi Woody

Woody, Dorothy Naomi “Dot”, of Manchester, passed this life on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at the age of 90. Mrs. Woody was born in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, the sixteenth of eighteen children born to the late Gentry C. and Allard Naomi Covington Clemons. During her life she worked in food service with the Manchester City School System and was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woody was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Hodge “Buddy” Woody Sr.; one son, Phillip Hodge Woody Jr.; and 16 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Harmon and her husband Martin, and Kathy Vargas and her husband Augie; four grandchildren, Matthew Harmon and his wife Danielle, Andrew Harmon and his wife Jeannine, Katie Loveless Corley and her husband Ryan, and Adam Loveless; six great-grandchildren, Bailee Harmon, Joshua Harmon, Ethan Harmon, Lucas Harmon, Avery Corley and Sadie Corley; and one brother, Ernest Clemons. A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will have a celebration of life service at Trinity Baptist Church at a later date.

Charles Louis Luttrell Sr.

Charles Louis “Charlie” Luttrell Sr. , of Normandy, passed this life on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare-Harton at the age of 69. Mr. Luttrell was born in Tullahoma to the late Martin Luttrell Sr. and Irene Estella Dorsett Luttrell. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam and went on to work as a Boilermaker with Local 454. Mr. Luttrell was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church and enjoyed meeting his friends at Hardees every morning for breakfast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Martin Luttrell Jr.; and two sisters, Estella Laverne Dorsett and Ada Irene Luttrell. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Arthur Luttrell; one son, Charles Luttrell, Jr. and his wife Sherry; one daughter, Eller Hall; one sister, Eller Pauline Luttrell; five grandchildren, Tamara Hall, Brandon Hall, Shay Kinderknecht (Richard), Kateland Luttrell, and Brysen Hall; three great-grandchildren, Sara Beth Parker, Roman Kinderknecht, and Trinity Kinderknecht; and many special friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Driver officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
