Terry Glenn Adcox

Mr. Terry Glenn Adcox, age 70, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Adcox was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late James Earl and Virginia Lee Hamilton Adcox. He was the owner of a Motorcycle Shop and restored and modified many motorcycles, motorcycle seats and classic cars. He loved to travel, enjoyed cooking and Mexican food and was an avid motorcycle rider. In his youth, he loved disco dancing. He will be remembered as an artist and the man who could fix anything. Mr. Adcox is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Adcox; sons, Jeremy Brian Fitzgerald and Nicholas Patana Chaophasy; daughters, Mindi Leann (James) West, Carra Kaitlynn Chaophasy, Terri Hannah Adcox and Jaden Murphy Chaophasy; grandchildren, Hannah Kirsten Fitzgerald, Olivia Hayden West and Jocelyn Claire West; sister, Shelia Yvonne Adcox Feezell (Ron Johnson); half sister, Dianna Cagle (James) Wadkins; nephew, Chris Adcox. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm at Central Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 3:00pm at Central Funeral Home with burial to follow in Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma. The family asks that friends and family wear black and red attire for the funeral service to honor Terry. Lydia Smith Keating

Mrs. Lydia Smith Keating, age 61, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Mrs. Keating was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Johnny Reid Smith and the late Lois Kathleen Fuller Smith. She graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, and worked as the H. R. I. S. Manager at Willis. She was a Girl Scout cookie mom, a Boy Scout Pack #85 mom, an avid reader and loved and adored her grandchildren. She always enjoyed being a motorcycle passenger where she would often nap as she rode. In addition to her father, Johnny Reid Smith, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Charles A. Keating, IV; children, Justin (Meredith) Keating, Michael (Briana) Keating, Ashley (Beck) Robertson; grandchildren, Landry, Lynnex, Dominick, River and Reid; siblings, Frank (Kathy) Smith and Renee (Jeff) Arnold; her beloved dog, Skrapy. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm with A Celebration of Life service at 3:00pm at Central Funeral Home. Bonna Fae Murphy

Bonna Fae Murphy, 83, of Manchester, passed from this life on August, 17, 2022. Bonna was born in Chattanooga on Sept. 18, 1938, the daughter of the late Mitchell Ewton and the niece of the late Parker and Lucille Standifer. 

Bonna grew up in Chattanooga where she met her husband Dave and started their family. In 1961, they were stationed in North Carolina. She and her family then moved back to Tennessee in the winter of 1962.

Along with being a stay-at-home mother and an avid reader, Bonna was active in the community as a member of the Manchester Jaycees, troop leader and camp organizer for the local Girl Scouts and a member of the Summitville Homemakers Club. Bonna enjoyed all forms of arts and crafts including painting, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting and many more. She was a loving friend, wife, mother and grandmother. 

In addition to her father and aunt and uncle, Bonna was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years David Lee Murphy, her son, David Wayne Murphy, and brother, Westley “Buddy” Ewton.

She is survived by her loving daughter Susan Murphy; daughter-in-law Diane Murphy; grandchildren Caitlyn Murphy, Samantha Fichten (Christopher), and Kyle Murphy. 

A small, private graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, those wanting to honor Bonna can make a donation to the Coffee County Manchester Public Library.

Louise Berry Morgan

Louise Berry Morgan, age 96, of Hillsboro, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Hillsboro, TN.

Louise was born September 17, 1925 to her late parents Thomas G and Lucille Willis Berry. At birth, she was premature and had to be carried on a pillow. Being premature certainly did not keep her down. Louise was an intelligent, strong, funny and determined woman until her final days on this Earth.

Louise began her working career at AEDC Officer’s Club under General Gossick in 1966. She loved her job and all of the Generals and Managers, customers and friends that she served for 44 years. Louise was blessed to have worked for 44 years at the club. She was 83 years old when she finally retired due to some health issues.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by brother, James (Jimmy) Berry and late husband (divorced) John Thomas Morgan.

Louise is survived by 4 children, Faye (Chuck) Wollert, John Dennis (Carol) Morgan, Joan (Robert) Barnes, Kevin (Juanita) Morgan; 8 grandchildren, Barry Carr, Katrina Carr, John Robert Morgan, Kaycee Barnes Sullivan, Nikki Bush, Ashley Morgan, Joseph Carrick, and Matthew Morgan; 14 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren. She enjoyed life, loved people, music and dancing the night away. She will be missed by many folks, especially the ones who loved her dearly.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 19, 2022, at 12:30pm at Hillsboro Presbyterian Cemetery with Danny Anderson officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the cemetery.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Intrepid Home Health, Compassus Palliative and Hospice Care of Tullahoma, and special friend Tiffany Lester for her love and care for their mother.

Jesse Clayton Mangrum

Jesse Clayton Mangrum of Normandy passed this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital, at the age of 83. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. The family will accept friends from 9 AM until service time.

Mr. Mangrum was the son of the late James Edward Mangrum and Elsie Metcalf Mangrum. He enjoyed camping, fishing, tinkering in his shop, watching sports and game shows.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin brother, Roy Lee Mangrum and brother, James Edward Mangrum Jr. and his sister, Mary Evelyn Mangrum.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Mangrum; sons, Rusty Mangrum of Tullahoma and Jesse Mangrum (Joanna) of Estill Springs; daughter, Joyce Turek of Normandy; brother, Harold Mangrum of Smyrna; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Norman Franklin Partin

Norman Franklin Partin of Tullahoma passed this life on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living at the age of 88. Mr. Partin was born in Winchester to the late Arthur and Myrtle Fagg Partin. During his life, Norman worked at Batesville Casket Company for 17 years, and was also a residential construction carpenter. He was also a member of Wilson Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Mr. Partin was preceded in death by five brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Katie Smith Partin; one son, Larry Partin; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Partin will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 3:00pm at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Macon officiating.

Charles Donald Ellis

Charles Donald Ellis, of Estill Springs, passed this life on Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia at the age of 86. Mr. Ellis was born in Chickamauga, Georgia to the late Raymond and Alice Kutz Ellis. During his life he worked as a machinist with A.R.O. and will be remembered by his family as a good and loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ellis. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Logan (Joe), and Pam Ellis (Rich Holcomb); one son, Donny Ellis; two brothers, Leon Ellis (Jean) and Jerry Ellis (Judy); and two grandchildren, Sydney and Allie Logan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Dr. William Lanford officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

JL Winton

Mr. JL Winton, age 88, of Pelham, TN passed from this life Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Sheltering Arms in Palmer, TN. Mr. Winton was born in Pelham, TN, to his late parents Claude and Nell Sartain Winton. He worked at Grundy Farmers’ Co-Op in Pelham for many years serving in many capacities. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Winton loved talking to people and loved spending time with his grandkids. He also dearly loved his dog, Colbie, and very much missed his wife of 64 years, Verna Winton, who preceded him in death in 2018. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Lewie, Glen, Bobby, Kelly and a sister, Edna. Mr. Winton is survived by daughters, Teresa (Tim) Cunningham and Gaye (John) Kelley; grandchildren, Courtney Pragel, John (Jessica) Cunningham, Blake (Teela) Kelley, and Drew Kelley; great grandchildren, Camden Reese Pragel, Eloise and Westley; several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 2:00pm in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Warren Cemetery in Pelham, TN.

 Juanita Campbell

 Juanita Campbell, age 80, of Decherd, TN, passed from this life on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Manchester, TN.

Mrs. Campbell was born in Huntland, TN, to her late parents Jonas Campbell and Eva White Campbell. She worked as a janitor for AEDC until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Barnes; grandson, Jessie Lee Barnes; great granddaughter, Emma Grace Grant; siblings, Wendell Campbell, Lester Campbell, Joe Horace Campbell, Marvelene Simmons, Nellie Winton, Annie Ruth Marcrom-Mankin, and Kathleen Lawson.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by son, Jimmy Darryl Barnes; sister, Sarah Ann Good, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Brittany Grant, Amber Barnes, Allister Barnes; great grandchildren, Ashlynn Grant, Cora Lee Grant, Atlas Barnes.

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery in Hillsboro, TN.

Sandra “Sandy” Joyce Hamlet

Sandra “Sandy” Joyce Hamlet, 67 of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Stones River Manor Advanced Care in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Sandy was born Sunday, December 12, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late James Wesley Parnell and the late Florence Alice (Glenn) Parnell.

Sandy was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend.  She attended Freed Hardeman University where she received her Bachelors’s and Masters’s degrees. She was in A Capella Singers at FHU.  She was an educator for 30-plus years.  She loved children, whether it be teaching or mentoring. She loved gardening, yard work, and was usually the first to reach out to anyone in need.  She enjoyed the Area-Wide Friday Night Singings.  Sandy was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Sandy is survived by, Husband of 47 Years, Roger Hamlet; 2 Sons, Jim Hamlet, and Thomas Hamlet; 3 Siblings, Carolyn and Dwight Sturm, Jim and Judy Parnell, and Ron and Virginia Parnell; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and special friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Service for Sandra “Sandy” Joyce Hamlet will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 am at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Clarence Deloach officiating.  Interment will follow the service.

Celebration of Life for Sandy Hamlet will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 4:00 pm from the Red Hill Church of Christ in Manchester, Tennessee with Bro. Ralph Hart officiating.
