Grand Opening For Stan McNabb
Everyone is invited to the Grand Opening of the newly-remodeled Stan McNabb Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac dealership at 2000 N. Jackson Street in Tullahoma this Friday and Saturday. The McNabb dealership has been family owned and operated since 1980.
“There will be something for everyone both days,” according to Trent McNabb, son of owners Stan and Jamie McNabb and General Manager of the dealership. “We will offer refreshments both days and door prizes, including a large flat screen TV, iPad, Apple TVs and Garmins. Of course, we will offer tours of the new building. A special treat will be an appearance by two Tennessee Titans’ cheerleaders from noon to 2 pm Saturday,” said McNabb.
“We want to invite all our customers from the past 32 years, and even if you have never purchased a vehicle here, you have an invitation to attend as well. We are very pleased with the new building and want to give everyone a chance to see this state-of-the-art facility. The whole building is very inviting and flows very nicely,” said McNabb.
“It’s hard to believe but this building is the culmination of 32 years of experience at this location,” said Stan McNabb. “Everything has been designed with the customer in mind, from the new color scheme, new floors, furniture and signage. It’s more accessible, more modern, more attractive. On either side of the front of the building are two features very important to customers. On the left is our delivery pavilion. The pavilion allows sales professionals to introduce customers to their new vehicle in a covered area away from bright sun or rain. On the right are our three Service Lanes. This is a new concept designed to let our service customers pull inside and get out of their vehicles without braving the elements. In the middle is our customer lounge, complete with comfortable chairs and fresh coffee, where customers can read newspapers, magazines, or watch TV. ”
Stan McNabb says he has always been guided by four themes: the customer comes first, provide excellence in all we do, generously give back to the communities we serve, and take care of our employees.
The dealership is located at 2000 N. Jackson Street. For more information about this weekend’s Grand Opening, call 931-455-3451.

Update On Perkins Triple Murder Plea
Matthew Perkins of Tullahoma plead guilty of killing a mother and her two children on Monday in Coffee County court. Yesterday (July 30, 2012) Perkins plead guilty of the murders of 26-year-old Stephanie Hershman, and her sons, three-year-old Jathan and one-year-old Jaylon.
According to assistant district attorney Ken Shelton, the autopsies showed the victims died of multiple blunt force trauma and knife wounds. In September 2010 the victims’ bodies were found in a bedroom closet of their Skinner Flatt Road home in Manchester.
Nearly 30 family members were in court Monday and had to approve the deal before he could accept it. Prosecutors had been seeking the death penalty, but the district attorney general’s office said in a statement that they accepted the plea agreement based on uncertainties about whether a jury would unanimously impose the death penalty.
Perkins entered a plea of guilty on three counts of murder. He is sentenced to three counts of life without parole. He will serve the rest of his life in Tennessee state prison. Matthew Perkins plead guilty on his 32nd birthday.

5 Horse Industry Organizations In Trouble With Feds
With the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration less than a month away, federal animal regulators are moving to decertify five of the 12 horse industry organizations that are supposed to help them inspect for abuse.
Chester Gipson, deputy director of animal care for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, says the five haven’t adopted the government’s new toughened minimum penalties rule for exhibitors of walking horses that are found to show signs of soring — the use of chemicals and objects or pain to exaggerate the high-stepping gait of walking horses.
The action signals the agency isn’t about to back off from a campaign aimed at ending abuses in the walking horse industry.
