Kenneth Melvin Barnes
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Melvin Barnes, age 77, of Manchester will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at the funeral home. Mr. Barnes passed from this life following an extended illness on Monday, August 10, 2020, at his residence in Manchester.
Kenneth was born in Davidson County, TN on June 25, 1943, the son of the late Oscar and Margie Mullican Barnes. He was married to Mary Rose Amos Barnes on November 27, 1969. Kenneth enjoyed gardening, riding back roads in his truck, and fixing car. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Barnes; one brother, Wayne Barnes; two sisters, Colleen Barnes and Evelyn Barnes; one grandson, Waylon Dodd. He is survived by his son, Tim McCullough (Larissa); two daughters, Darlene Reecer (Robert) and Charlene Dodd (Roger); one sister, Eva Wiseman; four grandchildren, Kenny, Breonna, Paige, and Kelley; four great-grandchildren, Tori, Erica, Tessa, and Austin; two nieces, Geraline Powers (Kurt) and Sharon Boothe (Randy).

Hillsboro, Tennessee – Mrs. Valeria Iliana Freeze, 36, passed away
Thursday August 6, 2020 at her home in Hillsboro, Tennessee. She was born
in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico on January 10, 1984 to Ruben Gonzalez
and Norma Abundis.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sons, Laaden and Jotham
Freeze; daughter, Allegra Freeze; sisters, Christi and Febe Gonzalez;
fiancee, Ryan Grenell; father of her children, Mickel Freeze.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Central Funeral Home
chapel with Minister Joey Strong officiating with burial to follow in the

Robert Wayne Hill
Graveside services for Mr. Robert Wayne Hill, age 78, will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Hill passed from this life surrounded by his loving family Saturday, August 8, 2020.
Robert was a native of Coffee and Franklin County. He was the son of the late Van and Myrtle Thompson Hill. Robert was a 1960 graduate of Coffee County High School. He worked many years at Colonial Shirt Factory and PCA Apparel. He was a Baptist.
Robert is preceded in death by seven brothers, Aubrey, Jess, Clark, Steve, Sewell, Frank, and Woodard Hill; two sisters, Frances Starks and Marie West; infant daughter, Tina Lynn Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Roberts Hill; one son, Jeffrey Wayne (Pam) Hill of Manchester; one granddaughter, Tiffany Kayla Hill; one great-granddaughter, Jaiden Kay Brown; one sister, Peggy Trussell of Tracy City; one brother, Joe Hill of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.

Joe M. Henley of Manchester passed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at his residence at the age of 54. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rutledge Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, from 5 – 8 PM.
Joe, a native of Sewanee, was the son of the late Sam Alexander and Joyce Alberta Daniel Henley. He was a member of the Christian Life Center Church and enjoyed studying and collecting Native American items. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He loved taking care of others and going for rides in the country.
He is survived by son, Samuel Matthew Henley of Tullahoma; daughters, Laura Reynee Henley, Joyce Ann Henley and Faith Danielle Henley, all of Tullahoma; brother, Mike Alexander Henley of Manchester; sisters, Mildred Marie Henley of Manchester and Vinnie Louise Henley of Estill Springs and eight grandchildren and one on the way.

Tammy Ruth Williams of Fayetteville, passed this life on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the age of 56. There are no services scheduled at this time.
Mrs. Williams was born in Lincoln County to the late Columbus Eakes and Thelma Ruth Eakes of Fayetteville. She enjoyed spending lots of time with her grandchildren, reading, shopping, and surfing the internet.
She was preceded in death by her father, Columbus Lincoln Eakes; brothers, Jeff Eakes (Kim) of Fayetteville, Dwight Eakes of Fayetteville, Danny Eakes (Ruth) of Fayetteville, Larry Eakes of Fayetteville; sisters, Linda Faye Bailey and Barbara Ann Eakes

James Stanley “Jimmy” Phillips
James Stanley “Jimmy” Phillips, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, August 7th, 2020 at his home at the age of 75. Jimmy was a well-known Tullahoma native and the son of the late Clyde and Leota Phillips. He was born March 24, 1945 at Dr Kings Queen City Infirmary. He was a community leader from his early beginning in Tullahoma. Jimmy was active in football/baseball/basketball and the student body at Tullahoma High School, being elected and serving as student body president his senior year. Following graduation from high school he achieved a BA in business administration from Middle Tennessee in 1967 and returned to Tullahoma to join his father in the family business Clyde Phillip’s Men’s Shop, a Tullahoma land mark for over 50 years. In 1969 he purchased the store from his father maintaining the recognition of the store as an exceptional men’s store in the region until it’s closing in 2008. He was a diligent promoter of Tullahoma business serving on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and First Federal Saving and Loan Association during his business career. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of the Tullahoma Rotary Club and received awards from UTSI, Tullahoma Lions Club Man of the Year (1978) and annual business of the Year Award (2007). Besides being a prominent Tullahoma business man Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman. He loved sports, fishing, hunting, camping, and especially golf. He was a superb golfer winning multiple golf tournaments and the attainment of 6 holes in one is a feat few, even very good, golfers can achieve. He loved his family and many friends and enjoyed the time he spent with them; he will be missed. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Janet Phillips; a sister Kathryn “Joy” (Don) Jones of Tullahoma; two sons, Jason Stanley Phillips and Joshua Stephen Phillips; two step children Brant (Dylana) Seay and Kristi Seay; grandchildren, Skylar (Jacob) Shelton, Jacksen Phillips, Trevan Seay and Heidi Seay as well as several, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm with Rev Ricky Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jim’s memory to First United Methodist Church Tullahoma or the charity of your choice.
