5/1/12 — Lula Mae Jones
Mrs. Lula Mae Jones age 72 of Tracy City, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2012 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She is Preceded in death by her husband Albert Jones, her parents Charles and Flossie Smartt Hunter, her son Jerry Allen Jones, and her sister Inez Sechler.
Survivors include her sons and their wives Billy Ray (Tammy) Jones, James Edward (Bo) (Cindy) Jones, Terry Michael (Tammy) Jones, and Benjie (Shannon) Jones. Daughters Teresa Jones, Susie (Tommy) Anderson, and Kathy (Scott) Beier. Sister Doris (John) Sanders. 26 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Clayton Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Clouse Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

4/30/12 — Alfred D. Meeks
Mr. Alfred D. Meeks age 74 of Tracy City passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012, at his home.
He was a son of the late Mack Meeks and Maggie Smartt Meeks and was preceded in death by brothers, Jeff Meeks and John B. Meeks; sisters, Tressie Thomas, Lillie Sanders, Clara Layne, Ruth Hazel Moore and Thursa Sanders.
Mr. Meeks was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Meeks of Tracy City; sisters, Josie Meeks, Mary Kilgore and Gabriel Sanders all of Tracy City; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Bobby Winton will officiate.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery.
Visitation: 3-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

5/1/12 — Donald Curtis Phillips, “Smokey”
Donald Curtis Phillips, “Smokey”, age 80 passed away Saturday, April 28th, 2012 after a long illness with pneumonia, Leukemia, and Alzheimers with his loving family at his bedside.
He was born April 18th, 1932 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Lester and LeLa Phillips.
He graduated from Warren County High School in McMinnville, where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. His passions were fishing and golfing- right along with the University of Tennessee Volunteers. His blood ran orange.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty L. Phillips; one son, Jeffrey Curtis Phillips of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Sheila Ann Weisensale (Steve) of Richmond, VA; one sister, Lois Tate, (Harold) of Birmingham, AL; one brother, A.L. Phillips (Mildred) and one sister, Elaine Neal (Kenny) of McMinnville; and several neices and nephews.
Don served his country in the United States Air Force in Okinawa, Japan and Germany for 22 1/2 years. He also retired from the Tullahoma Post Office, where he was a rural route carrier for 12 years. Mr. Phillips learned to play golf when he joined the Air Force and had his first hole- in-one at the age of 62. He loved all sports.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 from 12 Noon to 2pm at Kilgore Funeral Home with the funeral service immediately following at 2pm in the Chapel.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

4/30/12 — Judy E. Miller
Judy E. Miller, age 68 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester.
She was born October 27, 1943 in Huntland; the daughter of the late Edgar and Etolia (Hall) Bryant.
She was the owner/operator of the Short Stop Market in Estill Springs.
Ms. Miller was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Roberts, son, Tim Miller, sisters, Alice Stratton and Darlene Moss, and brothers, Lewis and Willard Bryant.
Surviving are daughter, Annette Seals of Winchester, TN, brother, Marlin Bryant of
Manchester, NH, and grandchildren, Josh Rogers, Justin Seals, Matt Roberts,
Lindsey Roberts, Seth Miller, Olivia Miller, and Andrew Miller.
A graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on Monday at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Flintville with the Rev. Ray Gardner officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.

NANCY CARROLL BAXTER WOMBLE AGE 72 OF TULLAHOMA, FORMERLY OF LYNCHBURG PASSED AWAY SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2012 AT HARTON REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER IN TULLAHOMA.
A NATIVE OF MOORE COUNTY, SHE WAS A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE HARRY AND JANET BAXTER. SHE WAS A HOMEMAKER AND A MEMBER OF WILSON AVENUE CHURCH OF CHRIST.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND; BILLY WAYNE WOMBLE OF TULLAHOMA; GRANDDAUGHTER, JESSI WILHOIT OF TULLAHOMA; SON-IN-LAW STEVE WILHOIT OF TULLAHOMA, SISTER;HARRIETT HARRIS AND HER HUSBAND, BILL OF LYNCHBURG; NIECE, STEPHANIE PHILLIPS OF MANCHESTER, SISTER-IN-LAW PHYLLIS PRATHER OF TULLAHOMA.
SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER DAUGHTER, PAM WOMBLE WILHOIT AND PARENTS HARRY AND JANET BAXTER.

5/1/12 — Edna Holden
Mrs. Edna Holden, age 102, of Tullahoma, passed away Friday morning at NHC Healthcare in Murfreesboro.
A native of Hillsboro, she was the daughter of the late Burrow and Ida Brown Winton.
She retired from BellSouth as an operator after 46 years of service. She was a member of the Grundy Street Church of Christ and was a volunteer at Harton Regional Medical Center with the American Red Cross for many years and was a member of the Columbia Council of Telephone Pioneers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands; Iro McClenney and Charles Holden.
She is survived by her niece, Jewel (Bob) Hill Griffin of Murfreesboro, one great nephew; Robert S. Griffin of Charlotte, N.C., one step-son; Jerry Holden, and two great great nieces; Ashley and Allison Griffin both of Memphis.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, at 10:00AM at Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Davis officiating.

Mr. Dale Adams, age 72, of Tullahoma, passed away Thursday at the Lynchburg Nursing Center.
He was born in Nettleton, Arkansas and was the son of the late Berton C. and Wilma Vickery Adams.
He was a retired U.S. Navy Chief, having bravely served his country for over 20 years.
He is survived by one daughter; DeJuan (Alan) Null of Tallahassee, Fl., one son; Brian Adams of Tullahoma, three grandchildren, two brothers; Charles (Linda) Adams of Silom Spring, Arkansas, and Billy (Jane) Adams of Dania, Florida, and one sister; Linda (Lynn) Cooper of Ocala, Florida.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 9:00AM until 10:00AM at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Memorial Services will be conducted, Tuesday at 10:00AM in the chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Smith officiating. Military honors will follow the memorial service.
