Chick-fil-A Construction Will Start Soon
Construction crews from Georgia tore down the Tullahoma Baskin-Robbins on North Jackson St this week to make way for a new Chick-fil-A restaurant that is expected to be opened by Feb. 7, 2013. Chick-fil-A recently purchased property from Northgate Limited Liability Company for $501,193. The plans call for the restaurant to have a 4,686-square-foot facility to be located on .63 acres at the current Baskin-Robbins site.

10/14/12 — William Robert “Billy” McCormick
Funeral services for William Robert “Billy” McCormick, age 43, of Manchester will be conducted Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Roy Sekulich officiating.
Burial will follow at Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:00 AM until time of services.
Mr. McCormick passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born July 30, 1969 in Coffee County, TN the son of Mrs. Geraldine Cagle McCormick Vincent and the late William Lloyd McCormick.
He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed coaching his two children in little league, softball, and traveling teams.
In addition to his father, Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Marie Martinsen and a brother, William Lloyd “Button” McCormick.
In addition to his mother, Geraldine Vincent of Manchester; survivors include two loving children, Tiffany Nicole McCormick of Pensacola, FL; and Dylan Herbert Curtis McCormick of Manchester; three sisters, Julie L. Trammell, Tammy C. Stratton and Gina L. Swoape and husband, Ralph all of Manchester; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kisa and Ron Camfield of Manchester; two sisters-in-law, Jessica Camfield of Manchester and Amber Camfield of Tullahoma; six nieces, Misty D. McCormick; Jennifer L. Trammell; Christy L. Trammell, Shirley F. Trammell; Amber R. Stratton; Jessica D. Swoape; a nephew, Joshua E. Swoape and numerous other family members, cousins and loving friends.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to First National Bank, 1814 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester, TN to assist with funeral expenses and funds for Billy’s children, Tiffany and Dylan.

Lady Raiders Will Play For Volleyball Championship
Coffee County took on Warren County last night in the District 6-AAA volleyball tournament. The Lady Raiders won an exciting set one 25-22. The Lady Pioneers got on a roll in sets 2 and 3 winning 25-10 and 25-20. Coffee County came roaring back in set 4 picking up a 25-15 win. In the deciding 5th set and the Lady Raiders pulled off the upset defeating Warren County 15-10. Coffee County will play for the championship tonight at 7pm in Sparta. Haley Banks was named the Gateway Tire and Service Player of the Game. The win also puts the Lady Raiders into the region tournament. Banks led Coffee County with 14 blocks, 6 assists and 5 aces. Brooke Carter had 7 aces and Hollie Moore stepped up with 33 assists.

10/13/12 — Kay Holland Inman
Memorial services for Mrs. Kay Holland Inman, age 78, of Manchester will be conducted Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until time of services on Saturday at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Inman passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 surrounded by her loving daughters and family.
Kay was born April 23, 1934 in Decherd, Tennessee the daughter of the late Paul Willis Holland and Odie V. Davidson Holland. She spent her childhood years growing up in Franklin County along with two brother and two sisters. She married Charles E. Inman, Jr. on May 15, 1953 and the two started their family. Being a military wife, Kay enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. She and her family resided in many locations through the years. While in Miami, FL, she enjoyed her years of employment with The Field Shops, Inc., which manufactured uniforms and accessories for the airline industry. After moving to Nashville, TN, Kay was employed with Dillard’s Department Store from which she retired after 10 years.
Kay was a loving wife, mother and friend to all. She was known for being elegant, witty, and humorous and in one simple word, vivacious. She enjoyed painting, pottery, all types of art, macramé, and jazzercise.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Charles E. Inman, Jr.; her second husband, Claude Nicks; and two brothers, Thomas E. Holland and Paul D. Holland.
Survivors include four daughters, Deborah E. Inman of Manchester; Melissa Kay Morin of Manchester; Paula Rae Chambers and husband, George of Hillsboro; and Leslie Gaye Inman also of Hillsboro; ten grandchildren, Kasey Maxwell; Meloney Howell and husband, Aaron; Jaimey Maxwell; Amy Townsend and David Hamm; Mandy Sapp and husband, Travis; Michael Cheatham; Matthew Bendus and wife, Maranda; Callie Bendus; Sarah Morin and Nehemiah Chambers; six great-grandchildren, Gunner Massey; Zakery Massey; Payton Townsend; Reagan Howell; Preston Chambers; Killian Anderson; and Rhodes Grayton Bendus; and two sisters, Elaine H. Arnold of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Von J. Lacy and husband, Tom of Winchester, TN.
