Tullahoma Man Robbed and Hit By Vehicle
A Tullahoma man was flown to a Nashville hospital after being robbed and struck by a vehicle Saturday. Stephen Curry Keith, 34, of Oak Park Circle told Tullahoma Police Officer George Marsh that he was walking along East Lincoln Street near Polk Street when he was robbed of $50 in cash, assaulted and struck by a vehicle. Keith told the officer that he was walking along East Lincoln Street when a dark full size pickup truck pulled up beside him. The driver got out and began to “assault him” and took his wallet. The man struck Keith with the pickup after robbing him. According to the police report Keith was transported to Harton Regional Medical Center for treatment and suffered injuries to his chin and the jaw area of his face. He also had a large place on the right side of his face from what appeared to be a tire mark. Detective Tyler Hatfield is investigating the incident.
DesJarlais Facing More Issues
DesJarlais won a second term this month despite revelations that he once urged a mistress to seek an abortion. During the campaign he disputed allegations he dated patients and wrote prescriptions for them. A court transcript released the week after the election showed he admitted the incidents while testifying at his 2001 divorce trial.
The transcript also showed that DesJarlais acknowledged recording the abortion conversation with his mistress, although he denied that during the campaign.
The congressman’s office did not immediately comment.
A CREW statement demanded Congress to punish DesJarlais for what it called “numerous lies.”
