Man Facing Drug and Resisting Arrest Charges
Coffee County Sheriff’s Investigator James Sherrill received information that Tryston Horton, 23, of Stone Boulevard, Tullahoma was at Dossett Apartments selling marijuana and was in possession of two ounces of product.
Sherrill notified Tullahoma Police Officer Sam Campbell that Horton was at the apartments and that there was a warrant for violation of community corrections.
Before Sherrill and Sheriff’s investigator Kerry Farrar could arrived they learned that Horton was involved in a noise disturbance of loud music in a vehicle that Horton was in. When Tullahoma officers arrived Horton ran.
Sherrill learned that Horton was at an apartment on East Moore Street. The officers observed the man sitting on the porch with two individuals. When Tullahoma Officer Johnny Gore and Sherrill approached the man, Horton took off running with the officers in pursuit. They chased him across East Moore Street and past several apartments to East Grizzard Street where Farrar attempted to intercept him but Horton ran through brush and trees back to East Moore Street. Sherrill learned that he was in a laundry room of the apartments.
The officers took Horton into custody and while searching him the officers found marijuana in his front pocket. He was transported to jail and charged with resisting arrest and manufacture/sell/delivery of schedule VI.
