Stolen Property Recovered

On November 14, 2016 Deputy Eva Villegas responded to a call on Fredonia Road. The owner of the property said he noticed his John Deere tractor valued at $11,000 and bush hog missing. He said there were some visible tracks on the road heading toward Gnat Hill Rd. A previous burglary was reported at the same address that occurred a few days earlier.
On Wednesday November 30, 2016 investigators located the property at an undisclosed location in Cannon County. The recovery of these items and more has helped solve at least a half a dozen thefts in Coffee, Cannon and Rutherford counties.
Coffee County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Jason Dendy says that charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing. He also wanted to thank the citizens for their tips that helped lead to the discovery of the items.
